Once at the dealership I still had to wait forever to see the finance manager. This is where it goes bad. Bad. The finance person tried to sell me an extended warranty for 4,000.00 dollars. I immediately told him no and laughed at the thought. He then stated he would talk to his manager about lowering the price. He came back into the office and stated he got the warranty lowered to cost? I then asked him why he did not offer the extended warranty at that price and not try to rip me off the first time for 4K. Remember they try to make the most money in finance on stupid products you dont need. I told him to complete the paper work and I did not buy any products from him. Came to the honda dealership to find a good reliable car to take back to Connecticut. I bought a 2019 subaru crosstrek to drive back thinking it was a good reliable car. However, not even 45 minutes after leaving to go to Connecticut the car started malfunctioning only 5 days after purchasing here. We had to turn back around and bring it back to the dealership so they could take a look at it. It will cost me around 2k to get the car fixed. I avoided facebook market place and other sellers to not have this happen to me but it turns out you dont get quality vehicles here anyways. BEWARE before purchasing here. My experience with Honda Morristown has always been with the service department. The employees are always nice and helpful. Every repair I have had has been a lasting repair. As with most dealerships, take your credit card when you go. An $80.00 oil change may quickly turn into a $1,000 or more visit. They do discuss the additional repairs first so you can make the decision to have the repairs done or not. My last visit included a short video from the technician of the underside of my vehicle with potential problems pointed out. That was a nice addition to their services. read more

bought a used jeep in June of 25. Everything was fine until I took it in for the first of 3 free oil changes they offered. After picking up the jeep, we noticed an oil burning smell which i wrote off as spillage onto the exhaust. But as time went on, it never went away. So I brought it to them to investigate. I figured it was a leaking drain plug. So after they attempted to charge my wife $200 to look at it, they told me the oil cooler was leaking. That's a common part failure but this started immediately after they performed the oil change. They made no mention of this on a prior visit. There was also no mention of this from a visit with a competitor earlier in the year. When I called them about this one gentleman identified himself as the service manager which I knew good and well he was not. The real service manager is a female. Nevertheless he told me they would not fix it. When a finally did speak to the real svc manager, she said that their pdi inspection from may said it had an oil leak. But I pointed out that neither the shop I had it serviced at, nor their own shop on intervening visits noted an oil leak. But although their own producible inspection in December nor the competitors producible inspection revealed no leaks in the intervening time, as well as my own eyewitness, they were not going to take responsibility for their tech having cracked the oil filter housing. I hope to inform the public of their shady practices. I'm going to have the repair done by one of their competitors for a quarter of what they quoted my wife. WOMEN BEWARE!!! Here's an update. Looks like the technician had trouble with the oil filter housing. Because it was never removed. So they actually didn't change the filter when their receipt says they did. Picked out the Honda Accord in "Sonic Grey Pearl," which is so unique and cool because in the day time, the shade is mutated gray-blue and in the evening, it's gray. Two-toned shade, so cool! Luckily, it wasn't crowded, so we were able to take it for a spin, signed paperwork and it was ours! It didn't feel rushed or forced to hurried either, and definitely recommend this dealership. Upon calling the dealership, I encountered difficulties navigating the phone system. However, I successfully dialed to request an appointment for service. I was asked to specify the desired appointment time, and I was provided with options that were in 30-minute increments. I scheduled service for 12:00 noon. I informed the representative that I was on a tight schedule, and I was informed that the service would only take 1 hour. Upon arriving at the dealership at approximately 12:00, I was approached by a service representative who asked me of the scheduled time and mileage. However, there was no introduction provided. In passing, I was asked about my day, which I believe was an attempt to cover the fact that I had inquired about a recall on the vehicle and the lack of knowledge on the part of the representative was covered by brief conversation. To this day, I am uncertain of the dealership's plan to address the recall. Having owned several Hondas over the years, I am aware that this is not the standard procedure for handling recalls. I was informed that the service would take two to three hours to complete a relatively straightforward task. I returned to the service department two hours later and was pushed aside, only to discover that no service had been initiated. With other appointments scheduled, I decided to leave. I guess you must fit into their schedule rather than my own. I had made the appointment after they inquired about MY availability. I was called half an hour later and asked if I was still available to collect my truck. I informed them that I was at another appointment and expressed my disappointment with the scheduling process. The individual then stated that he did not understand the issue and proceeded to tell me they did service in order in which I checked in not by appointment time. This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. They called me a second time half an hour after the first call, informing me that the truck was ready. I am unsure of the reason for the two calls. Perhaps they are unaware of the situation. Upon returning to the dealership, I was not greeted. Two service technicians were on the phone, and one was finishing up, so I waited for him. I identified myself and was told to wait there, after which he disappeared into the building. I waited several minutes without any further interaction. The older gentleman returned from the building, looking confused, and asked who I had dealt with when I arrived. I showed him the technician, and he was handed paperwork to complete the check-out process. I asked this gentleman several questions about appointments and service, but he completely ignored me. I paid for the service and then left. I was never provided with information regarding service or inspection. This is unacceptable. Communication and scheduling of service are not acceptable. I have checked Yelp after service and see a 1.9 rating. A low rating like this indicates that this review will likely fall on deaf ears because the dealership does not care enough to improve. If you are low, there is no incentive to do better. Having worked for Honda for 36 years and personally having met Soichiro Honda, I can assure you that this is not acceptable as a dealership associated with his name. read more

Amazingly this is the worst business i have ever seen. I have connections and friends/family in my local honda dealerships but Honda Morristown has been by far the most disgusting and rude dealership I have tried to work with. My boyfriend about a week and a half ago now went to Honda Morristown to get a vehicle preowned. They provided him a 2017 Honda Civic SI, with 102k miles, CarFax was shown with 5 owners and two accidents. During his test drive there was a check engine light on the entire time, and still they pushed to sell him this car asap, as he needed a vehicle immediately for work. The car was 17,000$. After financing this car it was 27K, included being Warranty, Taxes, Interest,etc. The car broke down last Sunday, not even a week of having the car, and they would now tow it to their company unless we gave them 500$. We had it towed to our nearest Honda, included West Knox. The Master Tech at that Honda said they found so much wrong with the car that they "refused to work on it and for Morristown to come and take care of their mistake." We drove out three times to Honda Morristown in the last few days, that being an hour and thirty minutes away from our home. The first time I was told by Nathan, in their preowned department to come collect the paperwork for my boyfriend while he was working. When i got to Honda Morristown, Nathan told me "Oh we have to email it to him." And proceeded to do some after having me make that drive. The second time we went out to see if we could get out of that deal as the car did not work, and see our options. They tried to push us into a 2022 Honda Civic, which was 24k, and told us theyd "remove the SI and use it as a trade in for the 2022." Which they redacted 18k but left the 10k mentioned previously of the taxes, warranty (that he paid for) etc. Yesterday we brought back the 2022 Civic, as the loan in total would be 47k for preowned civic. Afterwards we asked them if they could fix the SI only to what was under the warranty as we would fix the rest and we spoke to the service manager while we were there. The manager in service told us she would make a phone call since they need to fix their issue and to have us wait. We sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half until we got up to ask about the call and wait; as she admitted she never made that phone call, and while we were waiting the managers we wanted to speak with had clocked out and left. My boyfriend then spoke to the woman about the warranty and overheard them saying "He deserves this." Referring to them NOW removing the warranty and not refunding us for that in the slightest. Honda Morristown sold a car that did not function. Was broken on the lot and still pushed it out the door BROKEN. Refuses to help us. Has scammed us out of our time and money. We have asked numerous times to ask to the general manager at the preowned lot, and they will not let us speak to anyone but a Salesman. All they do is sit in their office and send a salesman back and forth to speak to us to try and get more money. Flat out this dealership should be shutdown and i have never seen people working with Honda like this before. They are greedy, disgusting, unwilling to fix their issues, and just want to scam you out of your money. When you show up you must pack your breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was there yesterday 02/24/2025 I had an appointment at 1;15 pm. At 2;10 I inquired of my vehicle ( oil change only) I was told your next to go back. I took my auto and left. I talked to service manager on the phone because was unavailable in person. Hunter was my salesman and got me into a 2020 black accord. I have bad credit and only had 1500 down and he did what he could to get me in a car that works for me with pretty good payments. He explained everything in simple ways and stayed hours after close so I could get my car. I was able to drive it off the lot that night and couldn't be happier. He has answered every question I've had in a very quick manner even after a month of having my car. I was definitely nervous to work with a dealership after being taken advantage of at the last dealership I got a car from but I will definitely go back to honda when I'm ready for another car. The service people were great as well at my first oil change. They excepted my free oil change with no issues and got it done quickly. Dealer told me that I had an option that I do not have and there was a paint defect that I noticed the day I picked up the car. I was hoping it was just dirt since the detail job was less than stellar but when I washed it two days later saw that it was not coming off. I have had my new car over 2 months and have not heard back from Morristown Honda on how they are going to fix this issue. Once they "earn your business" they are done with you. I purchased a 2022 Honda accord, black and color and due to Hondas quality. The paint is chipping all over the car, the head, the roof, the trunk, the side panels and the door handle. I have reached out to Honda numerous times and I keep pushing it back to a Perma plate, which is a ceramic coating that we had put on that they sold us, but if you go online and do your research you'll find out this is nationwide with Honda vehicles. They are deplorable, dishonest, and despicable people. I wouldn't buy a candy bar, let alone a vehicle, from them. I would leave no stars if I could My girlfriend purchased her BRAND NEW 2018 Honda Civic from here four years ago after getting lowballed by them on her trade-in, but she had no choice. Less than 50,000 miles in, we have replaced the starter three times and the battery three times- each with its' own diagnostic fee and warranty deductible. Each time at Morristown, they have tried to convince us to trade in at a massive deficit despite her having purchased a full extended warranty. Most recently, right before July 4th weekend, Darryl (the manager of the service department) repeatedly told us, "it's a long weekend, and if you all want to be home for the 4th of July, ya'll should just trade it in" while offering far less than Kelly Blue Book. This was clearly a sleazy pressure tactic for them to take advantage of our misfortune (that they created and perpetuated) to make a quick buck. There was zero consideration that they sold us the new car in the first place. No one would own the mistake and admit this is trouble we should not be having. I suspect their service department does not operate within the better business bureau guidelines. I am certain they will attempt to rip you off AT EVERY POSSIBLE TURN. We now live out of state, and after having them replace the starter six months ago, her car still isn't starting. So, we tried to transfer the service record paperwork to the HONDA where we live. The actually helpful people at our current HONDA location cannot track down any necessary paperwork from Honda Morristown to satisfy the warranty company and neither can we. We've called countless times this week and they keep claiming to email it but it never shows up in our inboxes. Then when we call again that person has "left for the day." Meanwhile, we are on the hook for renting a car, and the parts and labor should the warranty not be approved. The warranty cannot be approved until Morristown sends in its service records. This all started yesterday morning and we were told we would be called by the end of business Friday. We are still waiting to hear from them. Also, in this time, we have come to find out Morristown most recently put in an "approved" after-market starter and lied to our faces telling us this was not an option. If an after-market was acceptable/not going to void the warranty, I could have done that much faster, given the holiday weekend, and cheaper than the diagnostic fee. While a non-HONDA starter may have been a quick fix it likely led to our current issue of her car not starting for the 4th time, as it never addressed the underlying problems with the vehicle. An oil valve was also left loose and leaking, unknown to us, for over six months. During this time, we had to fight TOOTH and NAIL to get a loaner for which we still have not been reimbursed on gas as promised while commuting 3+ hours, each way, on weekends to handle this entire ordeal all because Morristown could not deliver the car after their attempt resulted in-guess what- the car not starting. Every time we interact with them there is a massive change in staff, no one knows anything, and no one answers the phone. They are unreachable, difficult when reachable, incredibly unreliable, and don't provide quality service or products. I don't think it unreasonable to expect that when people make mistakes in business, they are handled/made right/made whole, relatively quickly to the best of their ability. In the 21st century, I expect better communication- not NO communication (i.e., text, phone call, email) In summary: Poor service/leave you hanging/no effort to fix situation unreliable communication /unreachable will try to scam you if they can Unable to provide records Products are unreliable HONDA Morristown- you all (and corporate, now) have our contact info if you have any interest in correcting this ABSOLUTE CLUSTER of a scenario. I had a 12:30 appointment to fix a rear window motor that was not working. I came on time and was checked in. I asked how long it would be and I was told an hour. I was in the waiting room and a woman told me she came in at 10:30 AM for an oil change and tire rotation, It was now 1:30 and she was furious because if she went to a place like Jiffy lube it would have taken 15 minutes. When another man heard her he yelled out that he came in for the same thing and was now waiting over 2 hours, Both vowed never to come back for service in this establishment. My wait time went to 2 1/2 hours when they came in and told me it would only be 5 minutes more. The 5 minutes turned out to be over 35 minutes more. I was then told that I would have to come back next week because they did not have the part. Since my momma did not raise a fool I told the service advisor not to order the part and I would never go back there again. After my experience and witnessing 2 other people waiting for 3 hours for an oil change I am certain that all these negative reviews must be true. Outstanding service! From the moment we called Honda while stuck in a parking lot unable to start our car we knew we were in good hands. The woman at Honda on the phone with us went out of her way to try to help us get our car started, even got a technician on the phone to try to help us too (tell me another auto shop that would do this!) We had it towed to Honda and the service continued to be outstanding, first meeting the manager Gareth who was just incredibly sincere and helpful and reconfirmed the reason we buy Honda vehicles and get them serviced at Honda. He then introduced us to our service coordinator Todd and continued to have outstanding service. Our car was fixed and we went on our way. I must note all the employees we met were extremely pleasant. Told they took a part of another vehicle to see if it would fix ours. It did not and they charged us for a new part and labor. STAY AWAY from this dealership. My family, particularly my mother, has been a loyal Honda Morristown customer for 30+ years. She has bought at least three cars here. We have had poor experiences there in the past (not getting the warranties addressed when we were told we would, questionable recommendations for work "needed" on the car that other private mechanics did not agree, etc.), but our recent experience was the last straw. I had stored my Honda accord for a few months, to the point that it would not jump off. I had a coupon for a $99 battery, so went to Honda with my husband to pick one up. We were directed by a salesman in the parking lot to the parts department and left with our new $99 battery 10 minutes later. Two weeks later, my mom's old Honda prelude would not start or be jumped off. As a loyal customer, she also gets these coupons in the mail. She went to the parts department, with the same coupon, to get the battery. She was told that she could not use it due to the fact she didn't have the car with her, and the actual discount was for them to install it. She couldn't get the car there because it wouldn't jump off. There are no specifications on the coupon for having to install it there, or for make of car. Technically, their job was easier because they wouldn't have to exchange it. My mom ended up paying full price because we needed the battery. When we realized there was this discrepancy, my mom reached out to report it to Honda. A gentleman called her and offered all these reasons why ours could be accepted, but hers couldn't (the prelude's battery is bigger, she didn't go to service first, etc.). My mom did nothing different than we did, but was made to feel like she did, which is simply untrue. I am CONFIDENT that the only reason this was handled differently, is because my mom is an older woman who went by herself, and they saw it as a very easy way not to honor their coupon, whereas I am a younger woman who went with my husband. My husband and I have since become a customer at Rusty Wallace Honda in Knoxville. I have only been once, but it was a very different experience from service in Honda Morristown. When I needed a repair, they checked on me periodically, showed me the damage physically before fixing anything, and somehow, I did not leave with a laundry list of "problems" with my car (some of which Honda Morristown had previously pointed out, that I never got "Fixed." I asked a service staff member to please stop calling me "Hun" to which he rolled his eyes and continued to do until the moment I walked out of the garage. I was mocked and belittled. Two other staff members witnessed and didn't say a word- one shook his head. I've never felt so uncomfortable or experienced such poor customer service. This all happened in front of my two young children. On top of the repulsive behavior of the service member, my issues with my 2019 Honda were not fixed. I was told the electronics are "finicky" and that's why they don't work all the time. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with that answer, the person rolled his eyes at me and brushed me off saying that I "wasn't listening" to him. I plan on calling Honda Cooperate to tell them about my experience, but I want everyone to know- especially women- to steer clear of that place. We have free oil changes left on our warranty and I will not be using them. I will never set foot on that lot again. I recently got into a car wreck, and went in to Honda Morristown were I got my car, just wanting to know if I had GAP insurance on my car. Once I got there and notified the people working one of the cars salesman started telling me when I'll be coming back to get a new car from them. I insisted that I wanted to wait and let my totaled car to get it over with and see what will go on from there, but instead of doing that he kept pressuring me calling me three times a day everyday leaving multiple voicemail saying when I'm coming to get a new car, let alone he kept telling me not to worry about the GAP that the whole car was going to be taken care of and be payed off. Kept telling him that I wanted to wait and see where the whole GAP Thing was going. Kept calling me multiple times a day leaving voicemails everyday telling me when I'm coming back to get a new car and come and get the new car because the GAP was going to pay off what I owed left on the car. Little did I know that was not true I still owe a lot of the totaled car that I cannot make payments on due to going back and getting a new car, since the salesman told me not to worry and that the GAP insurance was going to pay it off. So now I owe two car payments that I can't afford one to a car that I don't have and the other car that I got pressured to get, even though I insisted but they kept bugging me. Now that has happened HONDA does not want to help out from the lies and pressure I got into getting a new car. I keep getting calls from the bank saying when I will make a full payment on my totaled car I keep saying I don't know because I can't afford two car payments, and I've seen my credit keep going down sadly due to not making fully payments. So I suggest don't buy from Honda from there pressuring sales man, and not wanting to help out Atleast cover the rest of the car due to getting told not to worry about it because he guaranteed me that it was going to get paid off. . I will not recommend my Friends or family go there due to this incident, all I ask is that Honda help and pay the rest of the car due to the lies and and pressuring that i got. read more

When there is only one dealer for a certain brand in town, it is possible they can be quite awful with service and still survive. Thankfully, that is NOT the case with this dealership! We bought a used Pilot in our former state for hauling our dogs around knowing it needed some work. We moved into Hamblen county and needed service rather quickly. We had about 1500.00 of work done and have been pleased with the quality of the service, the time it took to do the work and the very fair assessment of the additional recommended work. The service writers were very clear it did not have to be done, but that it was encouraged in the next service visit. My husband who has worked in the industry for quite a while agreed that the recommendations were appropriate and reasonably priced given the work to be done. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is based on what I'm accustomed to at 'big city' dealerships...wash and vacuum after a substantial service, new white lettering tires having the 'blue' removed from shipping and picking the car up under cover instead of on an open lot post-service. Otherwise--great experience start to finish and will be going back for all our service needs on the Pilot! read more

Service wait time on my vehicle was 3 hours, even with an appointment. Very minor issue, oil change and tire rotation. No communication with service advisor as they are located in a different building. Very poor coordination regarding service completion and customer communication. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

My car is out of warranty, but needed refrigerant in the A/C. I took it to the dealer instead of an independent mechanic. I've had other cars that needed refrigerant and perhaps new hoses. I was horrified at the price this time, and the explanation for it. So naive to take a car that is not under warranty to a dealer! Nice people, but won't go back there. Luckily, Japanese cars rarely need repairs. Won't buy my next car there, either. read more
