Nice Monmouth County course with a private club feel. Interesting course layout, solid conditions given its April and it's been a bear of a winter. Staff is friendly I agree with the criticisms of the range Hitting off mats, off the grass is always preferred Tee boxes and fairways are in good condition Greens are challenging A round will a tee time and cart will run approximately $65 on the weekend The course is definitely walkable I prefer charleston springs but I enjoyed my round and will play here again.

Really nice place to play a round of golf considering it's public. Has its challenges but still a place you can score well.

Course is beautiful, range is probably the worst around, and the employees were rude.

Monmouth County is a great place to live and they have the best courses to play with a county card.

For Review #650 I wanted to make sure it was something special....I have had good fortune recently,…read moreI have visited some phenomenal restaurants and places of interest. I chose Eagle Oaks as number 650 because golf is near and dear to my heart and I was treated a spectacular day. For those who don't golf, it is truly wonderful to play at a country club. Why? The experience is completely different from a public/municipal golf course. From the tee time process, to the amenities, to the quality of play so on and so forth it is top notch. Unfortunately I am unable to afford a membership at a private golf club. Hopefully after my children finish college I may be able to swing it. Country club golfing is not just about the golf, it becomes your lifestyle. Social gatherings, Dinners, card games, cigar rooms, pool, gym, sauna etc. The staff at Eagle oaks are second to none, professional and kind. I was very impressed with the members I met, all very welcoming which is unusual. The course itself is top of the line, excellent conditions, perfectly rolled greens, tee boxes that are immaculate. Many dog legs, island par 3's and green grass. Not much more to say except if you get the opportunity to play the course....don't give it a second thought and bring your A game.

Make sure you get the raw bar (the individual shrimp cocktails and crab claws I loved) which includes phenomenal sushi too. Dinner was great, I don't know how the managed to cook 200 perfectly cooked filets but wow (I didn't love the seasoning on the veggies but who cares). If you are considering having your wedding here do it!

Golf course review. I was here for an event where we got to…read moreplay 36 holes. I enjoyed every minute of this experience. From the drive in, you see some incredible bunkering (especially a beautiful volcano bunker on the left), a fantastic clubhouse, and a beautifully laid out golf course. This place is pure. The clubhouse has a great vibe to it. There is a big outside patio out back with several dining areas. On the other side of the driveway is another house that holds a small eating area, a beautiful bar, and a great locker room. The next building over hosts the caddies and a modest but nicely stocked pro shop. The golf course itself is in my top ten that I have played. I just wish I could come back and explore it some more. As I said the bunkering really stands out. Many are outlined in tall fescue and are menacing obstacles on each hole. The fairways lean and meander wonderfully. For me, the greens truly stand out. Each one creates its own dramatic picture. I felt like any time I had a 30+ foot putt, I had a chance to get close if I hit something perfectly. However, I also had a chance to hit the wrong side of a hump and be 10+ feet away from the hole. They definitely had some fun but challenging hole locations for each round, and it tested everyone's abilities once they got to the green. This is a course I could play every day and not get tired of it. Someday soon I hope to meet a member and get a chance to relive the magic!
