Awful, to say at least…read more Totally unprofessional crew/ team in Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Services in Rochester, MN. Brought my cat in with constipation problem, no big deal. He had these things time to time for years. Described them situation briefly: about two days he cannot poop in a litterbox and within last day he doesn't want to eat anything ( cat is smarter than humans). Before they started anything, they brought me a bill for $1,200 exactly ( that's already looking strange, right?). $436 for X-ray?! When I went to my dentist my X-ray bill was $75, I guess my cat is more important, WAY MORE. Then the vet tech told me that without X-ray she cannot tell me anything (!!) about his plugged situation. That's strange too, because my regular vet can do it by palpation within two minutes. Lack of knowledge or skills? Or just a RIPP OFF urgency?! Then they gave an enema to cat for $122, seriously?! and told me that I have to take him home right away. He's a kicker, I asked them when cat will go to a litterbox? The answer was - Within 24 HOURS ! Really, I said, can you be more specific? Yes, she said - Within a day!! Great accuracy, thank you very much. Verdict: If you do NOT have a real emergency - STAY AWAY for these scam artists. On top of that - I just found out that this company is not local - they are out from TAMPA, Florida. Do you think they would care about you and your pet? Or they are here ONLY for your money in MED-CITY ?! STAY AWAY!!

They were so supportive while I was in there crying, receiving the bad news of the failed scope, and he was sensitive and cognizant of my financial situation before proceeding to surgery. I will go back (but hopefully just To thank them as they are an emergency clinic), but they will be my #1 emergency pet option for now on.

My dog had collapsed, & the receptionist at the U of M vet school said I could have an appointment in 2 weeks or wait until after 4 to see the emergency clinician. A classmate put me in touch with Dr. Goullaud & I've been a devoted referring veterinarian ever since. This is the place for advanced diagnostics for your dog or cat. As a U of M graduate, I want to be able to support the U of M but I can't-not as a graduate, not as a client, not as a referring veterinarian. MVRS is better-they'll see your animal faster & get done what needs to be done in a timely manner. This practice doesn't do vaccinations or routine care-it's a place for sick animals, when your pet's regular veterinarian has exhausted their diagnostic options. It's mainly internal medicine-gastroenterology, cardiology, oncology-but they can have a surgeon come in as well, for advanced surgeries. Dr. Goulaud doesn't have the greatest "bedside manner"-he drives some people crazy-but he always has the diagnosis, care & treatment of your pet as his first priority. Highly recommended.

The emergency vet said it would be a 5-6 hour wait just to get Chewy back to see a vet. I called Dr. Hedges, and at 10 pm that night he met me at his clinic, at treated Chewy with fluids, pain medication, and antibiotics. He had so much compassion, I was and am so grateful. I'm happy to report Chewy is fine now. I'm pretty sure Dr Hedges saved my dog's life that night. All the support staff at Brighton are just as exceptional as Dr Hedges. I'll never stop going to them, they absolutely are the best!!

There was a $15 up charge for matting to which the groomer Elizabeth would not share where the matting was. He was combed out the night prior, so I do not understand this. His round face was only round on one side and straight up and down on the other side, had to put him back on the grooming table to miss several spots on all four legs and underbelly. The dog was not blown out, and unfortunately, my black work shirt was covered in hair upon leaving the store. I got my dog during covid times and was never allowed to be with him during his appointment or anytime after that at my last vet. I was so happy this place allowed me to go back with my dog. The people in the back were really friendly. The people in the front were very busy and didn't even acknowledge when I greeted them goodbye. It seemed like 3 of the 4 ish people sitting in the front are just taking calls and doing appointments, which surprised me they had them sitting up front in the lobby. I think the front-end customer service could be better. They do have service plans for the animals and I did sign up for that. I hope it is worth it as it was spendy (as all of them are, but my dog's health is worth it) and now they have increased the prices. I'm glad I paid in full for the year before the prices increased. Again, the care he received thus far was great.

The staff is always so responsive and accommodating and kind. The pricing is fair and transparent with care packages available to help with pets who may need some extra help. And when the time came to say goodbye to my cat, the process was handled with gentleness and dignity. I have had a lot of negative experiences with other veterinary practices over the years which made me really nervous about finding a good doctor when I moved to a new area - I feel really lucky to have found Vet Partners and will trust any animal of mine to their top-notch care.

I get a phone call saying my dog has a small cut on her head and that everything's fine. I go pick her up and find a large laceration on her head and once I got home I found a puncture wound on her side that my vet confirmed went down to the muscle tissue. The Dogtopia manager told me that she did not clean the wounds she used a non-antibacterial non-scented baby wipe and applied ointment. This is going to trap bacteria in and a wound this deep can easily get infected especially in an environment with lots of dogs. Their staff "doesn't know what happened". They will not share any of the surveillance footage. They only offered to pay the vet bill once I threatened to take legal action if they didn't. I have worked at dog daycare's prior and we had never sent a dog home with injuries like that and no idea how they happened and no explanation. They tried to tell me that she hit her head at first and it was a small cut and upon inspecting her it is a large laceration all the way through the skin and I discovered the puncture wound because she was licking it once she got home and that goes down to the muscle. It blows my mind that they downplay it so much and will not share their surveillance video. They are clearly not watching them/keeping rooms under control. I would never feel comfortable allowing them to watch my dog ever again, they are not taking safety as a priority. If you're understaffed you need to stop taking in dogs at a certain point so that staff members can actually maintain a supervised and controlled environment. My vet said either staples or stitches so I went with staples because they are a little over $300 versus $900 for stitches. It took me threatening my legal team reaching out to them for them to even refund the cost of a half-day charge when she was there for two hours before I picked her up because of injury. I had to push even more to get them to pay the vet bill eventually. The only reason I had my dog there is because I was hit by an SUV and was physically unable to take my dog to burn energy as she is just over one year old. So now not only am I trying to heal my broken wrist and fractured knee, but I am also tending to the staples on her head and her ribs, antibiotics, pain medication, and anxiety medication. My dog is so playful and sweet, absolutely loves people and absolutely loves other dogs. It's going to absolutely crush me if I see her confidence or friendliness extinguished in any way from this experience. Update in regards to their reply: they have my email address have not sent me any solid explanation as to what happened still. I have so many doctors appointments, phone calls with my lawyer, and I am trying to rest ice and elevate myself and now take care of my dog on top of all that. I don't have the time to sit on the phone with you while you tell me that you don't have an explanation, in different words nine times over. Reply to my email when you figure it out and if you can't figure out what happened, shame on you. You shouldn't be running a dog care business.
