Doc has always had the best interest of my animals at heart and always went the extra mile for them.

I took my boy, Boomer to Vet Check because he was panting heavily and it was nearly constant. Not…read moredue to overheating. Boomer is diabetic and I have been concerned about his blood sugar levels for weeks. I stopped at our regular vet's office first because they were supposed to be there until 7:00 pm. There were no doctors there at 5:00. Vet Check was our next best hope at getting care. I was concerned about diabetic ketosis. Boomer was seen and it was expensive but we were able to find out that there were no ketones. He possibly had a respiratory infection so he had x-rays and labs. We went home with a prescription for an antibiotic and an appointment for laser therapy with our veterinarian for the next day. That had been scheduled prior to Boomers acute illness. As promised, all of Boomers results had been sent to our veterinarian. Our veterinarian didn't look at them but the information was there. Boomer did not get better. We were on our way to Boomer's next laser therapy appointment. We arrived and Boomer had started having difficulty breathing. He collapsed outside the building. I carried him in. Again, there were no doctors there. It was 4:30. I was referred to a different urgent care. I chose to go to this one because it was closer and Boomer was in severe distress. We arrived and I went over Boomer's recent difficulties and vet visits. I told the staff that there were test results at Vet Check. The urgent care staff called and Vet Check sent the results over right then. I have been to Vet Check with 2 of my other dogs. They have always gone above and beyond for care for my friends. I will go there again and would encourage anyone with a sick pet to certainly consider going to them. It is expensive. What is money though when you are trying to get the best healthcare available for your best friend.

All of the doctors have been super professional and very helpful and friendly. We called last night just to check in and the tech gave us a full report that helped us sleep better. This morning we got a call from her doctor who took all the time necessary to talk us through everything we needed to know, the process moving forward. And answer our questions. It seems as if they are taking care of her well and it isn't cheap but what hospital is, but we aren't left with a ton of questions except those that we just have to wait for the medicine to work.

After 6.5 hours, I finally left with a "we are not sure" diagnosis and medication to take for a few weeks. Two days later my dog seemed to be declining and was reacting poorly to the medication. I was placed in a room for NINE hours! At check out, $1250 later they asked that I sign a liability waiver which I asked for the vet to explain and I was informed that she wasn't an available because she was at the end of her shift and went home. Staff did not check on me once without me pressing the call light and indicating that I needed something. It was never offered that I could leave and return later. So for NINE hours I sat there. I understand they have critical patients but clearly they are dangerously understaffed because a NINE hour wait in a room with NO communication is beyond unacceptable!
