I remembered a coworker telling me about MinuteClinics and I found this one which is 5 min from my house. I just walked in and checked in. I waited about 20-25 min and was seen. I must say I was impressed by the room and the doctor was very professional and attentive. I felt like I had really gone to my doctors office instead of a drug store, which had me a little nervous. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using this facility again if need be.

Than they took me back to look at my throat, the doctor said everything looks fine (although you could look at it and see my one side was very swollen.) She said she would have someone come in and swab my throat. I sat waiting for over an hour and finally got up and left the room. The receptionist said oh, are you still here. I said yes, they were suppose to swab my throat but no one ever came to do that. She ended up doing it. She said the results would be in on Monday - today was Thursday. No one called on Monday. On Tuesday I called them only to be told "well if they didn't call the results must not be in". I called again on Thursday and was told the same, I complained and the girl said she would have the doctor call me. No one ever called. Over a week later and I still do not have any results. And I was in so much pain I went to the Hospital where I was told I have an abscessed tonsil. They said they don't understand why the so called doctor could not see that. It was very apparent. The doctor at this facility should not be allowed to practice medicine and the entire facility should be closed. My rating is less than 1 star. The most horrible experience ever...

Even though it was after midnight when finished, they even lingered to swap war stories with me. My nurses afterwards were exceptional--Jordan and Cinda. All of the others, from the specialists to the food servers were also very friendly and professional. Although the food was ok, they could give you bigger portions though. My room was modern and clean. So, thanks for saving my life and being polite and professional at the same time. I base my rating after a similar stay at the vaunted George Washington University Hospital in DC over ten years ago. They sucked. Very badly. It's good to be back home. I almost enjoyed myself.

One nurse asked 3 or 4 and the nurse responded "3 they're just gonna give her antibiotics and send her home" Returned Thursday night still nauseous, shortness of breath 159/89 bp intake nurse was rude and spoke to me in a manner prison guards speak to inmates. Told me to go to the 3rd room on the right. I turned a shouted, "someone is in here ma'am " She snapped "then go to 4" It's filthy as pictures show. I stood and waited for staff. Was moved to another chair. My name was called. I stood and opened curtain, same nurse (not the person who shouted my name) snaps " stay in your seated until you are seen. " I responded "my name was called" The Er nurse who took my vitals was sweet, gentle, and seemed caring. The EKG Tech was professional. The xray tech was nice, professional. I was the sent to "internal waiting room" There were two other heart patients waiting. There are open seats. No TV or bathroom in this area. It was dirty, cold and uncomfortable. 3 hours later, the same rude nurse is roughly jerking one of the patients whom was disoriented by his hoodie balled up in her fist. I was infuriated and disgusted. I left immediately. This placehas NO BUISNESS FUNCTIONING. You deserve better, your family deserves better, Akron deserves better. Summa should be ashamed.

The next day the nurse practitioner of the nursing home called me after going over her results and told me that she found a tumor and was surprised the hospital never called. I called the hospital to talk to the Dr. who examined her and was told that since she wasnt admitted they dont know who it was!! She told me that none of the doctors who were there are there now and that I would not be able to talk to anyone. If it wasnt for the nursing home, we would have never known!!!!!
