After much research and reaching out to companies Blue pool crew company got back to me ASAP. Answered all my questions and came by my home while we were home I found out for new homeowner pool companies at times don't do that.Mark the owner came by checked my pool out and turns out other company that supposedly opened our pool really didn't. Our cartridge filters were not in our filter and our jets were not installed. Mark showed me how to do this as well set my filter to clean my pool. He came by the next and cleaned the pool. My pool looks so beautiful! Prices are amazing and affordable. I highly recommend this company.

Zero Stars! Blue Crew is totally undependable and have put my health at risk…read more Blue Crew Crews was supposed to open my pool several weeks ago. They never made the first scheduled date on April 28th. Blue Crew texted me to say they could not open my pool until the following week. That night I was rushed by ambulance to Albany Med, got out on Monday with doctors orders to not "do ANY heavy lifting". So. getting my pool open now became a serious health issue, it merely a convenience. I texted Blue Crew back when I was home from Albany Med to say that probably be better for my health if they opened the end of May, before Memorial Day. They called me to coordinate an opening date. When I asked if opening the Monday before M-Day was possible, I either was hung up on, or the call dropped. They texted me to say the call dropped, but never mentioned rescheduling. I asked them to text me back - they didn't. I texted again asking for an opening date - no reply back. I texted again - still no reply. I have always opened my pool every year. This was the first time I sought a service and Blue Crew BLEW IT! Under normal circumstances I would just be frustrated with Blew Crew, but I am furious that I now have a SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE and have been abandoned by BLEW CREW. What they claim on their website as 'dependable service' is TOTALLY UNDEPENDABLE!

Before we signed a contract or put down a deposit, Carl was patient and more than willing to answer our many, many questions and walk us through the process and options. He did a drawing of what we thought we wanted and when we wanted to make a few changes he quickly did it with no problem. Carl is very knowledgeable about not only what works best but also what looks best. We put a lot of trust in him as this is our first project of this kind and we're so glad we did. We never felt rushed or pressured or that we were being an inconvenience with our questions or changes. He is also very responsive, he never left us hanging, waiting for a response when we contacted him. One of the great things about MC Pools over other builders we contacted is that they have the ability to build the pool you want so you're not forced to pick something from a catalog. You can create a custom build like we did. Another positive, in my book, is that Carl includes (pretty much) everything in the quote, giving you the full picture of what the final cost will be. Other companies give quotes but don't add the other necessary items/services such as electrical, hauling away fill, etc so you think you're paying less but end up getting hit with costs you hadn't known about until later on. Carl adds all that in up front. Plus he included some things that other companies don't such as 2 lights for the pool, 2 skimmers, a safety cover and an upgraded handrail. *One huge bonus for us was the discount they offer for first responders (my husband is a volunteer firefighter).* The build itself was smooth and followed the timeline we were promised. When Carl came for his final walk-through to make sure we were happy I could not come up with a single thing I wasn't thrilled with (that's never happened to me before ). Every detail is perfect and our pool is gorgeous, we couldn't be happier. Details about the pool: it is 16 x 37 (with the bump outs). We added a bench seat to the bump out in the deep end (see picture) and we are SO glad we did, everyone loves it. It's a place to hang out while in the deep end and such a great feature. The kids especially love it because they can swim across and have somewhere to "land". It also doubles as a step to get out of the pool. We wanted a larger shallow end since we know that's where a lot of people hang out so we adopted for an extended shallow end (16 1/2 feet). The chlorine is salt water and we chose to have a cartridge filter and added a gas heater. The coping and concrete are stamped and dyed. Another detail worth mentioning, the contractors that MC Pools works with are top notch. The concrete company, Capital Concrete of Albany, went above and beyond to give us exactly what we wanted and helped us design and choose options when we asked for input without being pushy. They worked through the weekend to help get our project finished as soon as possible. The electrical company was also top notch. (I can't recall the name but I'll add it when I figure it out). We are SO glad we chose MC Pools for this large project, we couldn't be happier! Thank you, Carl!

But when they charged me double for the month because they claimed I needed extra servicing, I questioned the bill and provided proof that I did not ask for the service and in fact the third (not forth) was required because their technician/adult son, left debris all over the pool after "cleaning" --see photo. Similarly to Vincenet, I was told I was rude and their adult son "no longer felt comfortable" servicing my pool leaving me stranded mid summer and for pool closing. Still, they did me a favor-with such unprofessional and unethical service, I no longer feel comfortable eitherI! Good riddance. As a result, more and more water accumulated on top of the cover and the pump just ran 24/7 pumping water into itself. When I wrote them email to complain, they said my emails were "rude" and stopped servicing my pool. Normally, this would be strange, but the sort of thing that reasonable people can get into. But in this case, they had just commited to closing my pool for the Winter. This has left me suddenly in the lurch. Now I have to find someone new under emmergency conditions. Watch out! I had no hint that this was coming.
