Tasted like shirt no good did not like the pizza just...HORRIBLE!!!! Never going back END OF STORY!

This is a great little place in town. Unfortunately, because it's basically the only thing in town it's usually pretty busy. The food is really good, some of it is overpriced. The only disappointment has been the wings, they were too undercooked and fatty for my taste. Plus their ranch isn't very good. Their Alfredo though! Tried a bit of the kids which is a decent size, was great! And the full size pan comes with chicken and mushrooms and still delicious. The first time was better, but the second time it just needed more seasoning. Pasta was also cooked well. Tried the gluten free, it's okay...not the best GF pizza I've ever had and definitely not worth the price point. read more

We are from out of town visiting a relative in the area. We were super hungry for pizza & wings...we ordered a large vegetable pizza & 20 wings. For $33.99 for 20 wings we definitely had BIG expectations! Boy were we disappointed! As you can see in the picture, the wings were extremely SMALL! Pizza is really good! when they actually get your order right. It's understandable that places are busy and makes mistakes! But forgetting an allergy request, or less sauce can really affect a customers point of view. In the actual restaurant, there's maybe two families in there average at a time. Takes forever. I mean FOREVER. For anyone to wait on you. Definitely very slow and you have to eventually get up and go to the counter and ask for what you want. If it serves like a high school cafeteria, what's the point of sitting down and eating? Overall rating 3. Would've been 4 if you could get clean tables when sitting down. read more

We ordered our food on a Friday night around 5:30-6:00. We expected it to take some time; we was pleasantly surprised when we got the text saying our food was ready. We was already on our way to pick it up when the text came in. I have to say, it was GREAT pizza. It was hot, fresh and tasted perfect!!! My husband is a pizza connoisseur and he loves it. We will be ordering again. When I walked in to get the pizza, the place was packed. Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere reminded me an older pizzeria style place. It was nice to see. This was a tough one to rate, star wise. The food is awesome! We loved the cheese bread and pizza! Service was pretty good too! Jessica was our server and was super attentive. We waited quite a bit, but the place was packed and it was a Friday night. It was expected. However, the facility itself could really use an update. The staircase had rubber mats that makes it hard to not fall down. The building is super dated and didn't seem super clean. Bathrooms were not very clean either. After 12 years, and eating at this location A LOT of times, I thought I'd update my review. We have eaten at that location and ordered carry out consistently over the last decade. The pizza is always great and the service is great as well. If there is ever a problem with an order, they go out of their way to fix it....but honestly, I cannot remember the last time my order was wrong. The lunch service is really fast and if it is ever crowded it may take a bit longer....but it is worth the wait. When we have friends in from out of town, they always want to get Hometown since they usually don't have it in their area. read more

Hometown always have great pizza, I had the Maui-Maui and the bacon cheeseburger and it was great. I highly recommend this place if you're craving pizza while in Bloomfield. The only criticism I have is that the place are low on employees so the pizzas or appetisers will take awhile, other than that it's a 4.0 read more

Good pizza and came to our table very hot! We had the medium Maui Maui and loved it. Two of us had 3 pieces each and took 2 pieces home.

Took long to get food and pizza was not very good. This is the first bad experience I've had here.

We found this sweet little gem on a road trip needing to fill our bellies. Park on the side of the main road on the hill. Can't miss the Nostalgic little joint in the line of businesses surrounded by Antique Shops! Gotta come back to check those out!! The smell of pizza and tomato sauce fills you up as ya walk in the place. The site is clean. Staff is Super Friendly. Food is Superb! We had breadsticks and pizza. We Love the Cheesiest and were not disappointed! A must stop next road trip. read more

This is one of the only restaurant choices in Bloomfield, and we generally have a good experience. Good pizza and pasta for a good price. Service is usually good as well. However, I must warn people of the Stromboli. Don't do it. After a particularly long wait, we were served a sub sandwich containing a lump of ground meat that resembled a single McDonalds burger patty with one sorry slice of cheese and a little lump of sauce with an onion. It was served with approximately 6 little half-baked potato wedges. Now, perhaps the cook was having a bad day. But maybe that's always what the Stromboli looks like (I'll post a photo, too). Just in case, I recommend you don't get that. My recommendations for something reliably tasty: the garden pizza, chicken artichoke pizza, or the baked spaghetti. read more

My favorites include the thin crust mushroom pizza, the margherita crisp, baked spaghetti, and the Mediterranean salad. Order their house dill dressing for a light, creamy, flavorful addition to any of their fresh, large salads. If you like cheese, request deluxe garlic bread with your pasta or salad. Been going here for years. Well ran, clean, organized and a good waiting staff. Every pizza to your liking, their sandwiches are great too. My only fault I can saw about them is this: their Spaghetti and Meatballs while really good, I really would want to see the tomato sauce changed. To chunkie when it comes to the tomato sauce. Even though I'd like to see that one thing changed, I refuse to give them any less than a 5 star rating. The little town of Bloomfield really got lucky when this little establishment opened there, just over twenty years ago, in what had always been some version of a dry goods store. The ambience here beats all of the other Hometown Pizza locations because of this. It was built into the place, and they were delicate in their remodel to accommodate a restaurant. Three levels of Victorian charm without the corniness that so many places embrace. The food is excellent, anything that's ordered. Best pizza anywhere, hands down. I live in Los Angeles and travel extensively. Still, I've never had better. If you're visiting Bardstown, it's so worth the 12 mile, 12 minute drive to Bloomfield and Hometown Pizza. read more

We got a to go order of turkey clubs. Our favorite thing about them is the honey mustard. My husband asked if it was in the box & they said that it definitely was. We trusted that and drove all the way home. Sat down, opened our boxes, and there was no honey mustard. Called to inform them and the phone was picked up, and immediately hung up. We stopped in on our way from Lexington, KY to Memphis, TN. This pizza place is in historic downtown Bloomfield, a cute, quaint little area. The pizza place is also cute, with a warm wood interior, and Tiffany style lamps hanging over the booths. We ordered a large pizza, half the Hometown Special (hold the green peppers) and half the Maui-Maui, thin crust. It came out perfectly, hot, crispy, flavorful, and made as ordered. Yes, the two of us ate the whole thing! My husband then ordered two brownies (seriously?!). I thought that despite the icing (pretty yummy), they were a little dry, but he scarfed them down! Service was friendly and attentive and pretty prompt considering that we were seated right after a party of 30. We rolled out of there very content! If we were locals we'd be (more overweight than we already are) regulars...and there seemed to be quite a few of those there. Worth the stop! read more

By far, Hometown Pizza in Bloomfied has the best pizza I've eaten. This includes Chigaco and New York. They also serve an excellent Mediterainian salad. I higihly recommend both. I've been to other Hometown Pizza's but none that match the yummy Bloomfield pizza! Definately a 5 star! read more
