I stopped by last week, for the second time and received the same, excellent, cheerful, and knowledgeable service as I did the first time. Kurt's Garden has an excellent variety of trees and bushes. Since I knew I was going to have a lot of questions i.e. I needed some handholding, I tried to make sure I arrived at a time with less traffic. I found their prices to be commensurate with what I was seeing online and I'd much prefer to support a local business, so I will be back! I haven't made a purchase yet, but only because I'm worried about planting right now, with this horrible heat wave.

For a full irrigation system, labour, and for expertise in plant selection. Seven ferns that were planted in the sun died right away, and those were replaced with heartier plants - all before the final payment was made. Since then, we've continued to lose plants and had poor response, taking a month to finally hear back that they won't help us. The consensus is that the holes and soil amendments were not adequate for the clay soil. He promised big holes with lots of soil, but the holes were dug not more than an inch bigger than the plants. Those we have replaced show clay right under the plants. We gave the manager multiple opportunities to resolve this situation. We offered to dig the holes and replant the seven remaining them if they would give us the replacements. Now we are doing that on our own. Buy your plants at Kurt's, but install them yourselves, or higher someone who will standby their work. They are nice people, just some unfortunate managment.

As I was driving by I saw one outside this store. I stopped to ask how much and it was for a very good price. I only had my driver's license so went on my way. While there I noticed the place has the aura of a rural feed store set up in a barn. Why? Because it IS a rural feed store set up in a barn; Dusty, with straw and hay bits. The office portion definitely had the feel of the proprietor. A man with opinions and not afraid to express them. My kind of guy. Forthright. You know where he stands on issues that matter to him. A few days later I looked up the store on line to get the phone number to see if he still had the dog house. Google came up with his phone number. It also came up with this site as a match and I checked out the one review. It states: "Tracy W. 1.0 star rating 7/26/2013 Wow, rented a U-haul here, and will go out of my way never to give them business again. Had many racist and right wing signs on the wall, including one about how Obama was a nigger. Overall, a scary, trashy place, with people to match." This review is false on its face. While the helper was out looking for the proprietor to finish my purchase of the dog house I spent about two minutes looking at the wall where bumper stickers and small signs were posted to see if I could find any sign or bumper sticker that was racist or called Mr. Obama a "N" word. Nope, not one. Right wing? Yes. Racist? No, not in the least. Nope, I'm not related to the owner, and am not getting anything for this review. I don't even know the owner other than doing this one transaction. Yeah, he is a little rough around the edges, but it's a VERY rural Feed Store. Oh, yeah. He was not so rough to use foul language. Not one swear word.
