Frankly they deserve 0 stars. A very dishonest hotel. I had made reservations with them thru Hotels.com for several days. I used a debit card to hold the reservation. When I got there all was good but because of a family emergency we had to leave early. I because of the way the reservation was made I still had to pay for the last last day. Ok my fault for leaving early. When telling the man at the counter at the night before that I was leaving early he had to call the manager at home and for what ever he was doing he switched the payment from my debit card to my credit card in order to do that he canceled the reservation with hotels.com making me loose my points. So today I go to make new hotel.com reservations and I'm missing points for 5 nights. I call them, they call the hotel and the hotel manager says that I did not pay because I did not have a card on file. Total BS as I had the bill to prove it. I call the hotel itself, got the foreign manager and he argued telling me that I did not read the policy. I told him I have used Hotel.com many times and never had this happen. He didn't care. He did get his money and that's all he cared about. Do not go there if your using any kind of a debit card. They will not take it and in fact a man in the lobby that had already paid with a debit card for his stay was turned away because he did not have a credit card for the incidentals. He asked for his money back and they told him 3-5 days he would get a credit. Oh and when there the ice machine didn't work, smelled like rotten trash in the halls and mold in the shower. read more

Dodge this place unless you absolutely have to. Nightmare to check in even with it prepaid from Expedia. They won't tell you what deposit they run your card for and will only say "it's on the website if you want to know!" Also they refused to take the debit card that I prepaid for the room with first saying they "only" take credit cards, right in front of their "debit card user agreement" info card( that I pointed to no less) and she refused to acknowledge it existed. Then after I ask for the manager on site and they'll call you back but from a restricted number and not leave an actual number to call back. Treated like a drifter upon arrival. Provided a debit card because the proprietor thought I wouldn't have a credit card. I provided an American Express and then the service level went up slightly. I was then read the riot act of rules. Not to mention the signs in various places saying what you can and can't do on the property. The hallway on the third floor was half lit and a little scary. Wallpaper was a gloomy off white. Room was of course hot and the main thermostat broken. Moving on. The breakfast included waffles, and waffles, or waffles. You get my drift. The orange juice tasted like tang. I then had a business call with meetings through the day. I was refused late check out and then refused the ability to use the business center past noon. This place only wants to steal your money. Booked a reservation for my wife and daughter and paid using PayPal. Wife showed up to the hotel and the manager wouldn't let her have the room we booked and even called her a fraud, making her cry in front of customers. I called the manager from the hospital and ask him , did you get paid for the room? He said yes we did, then he said but I'm not giving her a room and hung up on me. Do not stay at this lying thieving dump! I reserved two rooms using Booking.com app. Used daughters debit card in reservation as she offered to pay and would be accompanying. The debit Visa card was charged prior to our arrival. No problem. Or so we thought... Upon arrival we were denied check-in as the reservation name and card name did not match. The card that has already been charged. Even though we were both present with card and our photo id's they still would not allow the check-in. They told us we would have to cancel this NON-REFUNDABLE reservation and rebook with the hotel directly and yes, pay AGAIN. Except that had we done so we would again be denied as they don't accept debit cards only major credit cards. They don't accept the card they've ALREADY CHARGED? Really? End result was: NO ROOM, NO REFUND, NO SOUP FOR YOU! The manager tried to tell me it was their policy which I saw when making the reservation. No sir! I read the property policies when I made the reservation (and again after this financial assault) and there is NOTHING in them pertaining to these issues he just made up. He's a liar! Go next door to Country Inn and Suites by Radisson. Or behind and across the road to Hampton Inn if you can spare a bit more for a room. They are nicer and more accommodating. read more

So...we are driving back from Texas and decide we are going to stop half-way to sleep. I am driving so I cannot look for hotels. My girlfriend gets online and books Hometown Hotel. Cool, that's taken care of. We arrive at the hotel then head in to check in. As we are waiting for the front desk person to come, I take out my phone to check in on Yelp. I see the reviews and the pictures of bed bugs. A little bit of panic sets in. What did my girlfriend get us into?!? The first thing I did was inspect our room for signs of bed bugs and bugs in general. There were no signs. I was relieved. If you have a first floor room, then you have an outside entrance and an indoor entrance to your room. That was one of the best things about it. The room was a little outdated but nice. The TV was older so it did not have HDMI hook ups. A little disappointment for me because I purchased an item I wanted to hook up. The shower was huge. The shower was granite or at least some kind of quality faux granite. The only worry I had was the floor of the shower got a little too slick for comfort. There is a Wal-mart right near by so that was useful. There are also a few restaurants near by if you want to eat. Speaking of eating...let's get to the breakfast. Now the first time we passed through, we stopped at the Super 8. All I wanted was a bagel when I woke up. Super 8 had none. Hometown does! Cream cheese to go with it. They had 4 cereals to choose from. A waffle maker. Toast. Juices. They have a sign asking you not to take the food back to the room. Screw that. I understand because you might make a mess. I'm sure that people take outside food in though. I ate my food in the lobby because I wanted to immediate access to refills. The food was pretty good though. The reviews of this place are troublesome. Maybe they cleared up all their issues. I am not quite sure. My experience was not that bad. If you dont mind being threatened and harrassed over a $15 late check out charge they want to collect asap , which had been paid by a deposit and front desk clerk stated we were charged already, then threatened to have security on us. Long story short (because believe me it's a long story), on October 10, 2020, I booked a room through the priceline app for Hometown Hotel because they said "pets allowed." Well what a mess. After walking in the door, the front desk lady charged me a $50 deposit for the room and then asked if I had pets. She then informed me that dogs are $25 a piece, I have two. She also told me my dogs were over the weight limit and apparently not allowed in the room I booked online. She said I had to switch out my room for a cheaper room at the same price. No way lady. No way I'm paying the same money for a cheaper hotel room and $50 non refundable pet deposit. I asked for a refund because I wasn't paying $166.55 for a room for the night in a run down hotel that smells like mildew. She and the manager both refused a refund. I still haven't received my money back. Absolutely unprofessional. No where on their advertisement on the priceline app were any details about the pet policy, pet weight limit or even instructions to call the hotel before booking. Absolutely unprofessional behavior. The manager of the hotel refuses to communicate any further with me. They false advertised their hotel on the priceline app and refuse a refund? Now I'm just out that money. Be careful! Staff walked in on my parents -- TWICE" We just stayed here (early Mar 2015) -- traveled down from Missouri for funeral service for my paternal grandmother. My parents had a room close to the lobby front desk. Incident one -- After my parents were turning in for the night, a staff member attempted to open their room door and would have walked in on them if the swing bolt/lock had not been in place. She'd keyed herself in and was stopped by the inner lock. When my father asked if everything was okay, she apologized, said she thought the room was empty. My dad chalked it up to a mistake and let it go. Incident two -- A few days later, we are all in my parent's room huddling up/saying goodbyes after the funeral service, before I prepped to hit the road (I'd already checked out, my parents would stay one more night). While we were talking, someone knocked quickly and quietly three times on the door. As my dad crossed the room to answer it, the door swung all the way open. We got a quick "oops, sorry, wrong room" by Ash the manager, and the door closed. But not before he and a woman with him both had a good look inside the room. 30 miles down the road, this was still bothering me. How can you not know someone is occupying the space you rented to them? I called the hotel and told Ash my folks didn't know I was calling, but that I was upset by this happening - twice. They had a rough day, would he mind giving them a nice apology. He said he would not. I asked Ash about the policy on barging in on paying guests and I was told not to talk to him like a child. He was the manager and knew the rules. They would enter to clean, for maintenance issues, or when the room was empty. Since none of these applied, I asked him why he didn't feel like this deserved an apology. I told him I wasn't looking for monetary relief, or a free night's stay, just good customer service and an apology. I was yelled at, told not to call him for such things, told he was a manager and not a child, etc. I then asked him for the corporate number or GM so I could elevate the complaint. He stated he was locally owned and there was no corporate number. He then proceeded to tell me how awful I was to call him from the road (hands free, by the way) and put lives in jeopardy/cause an accident over something like this. Then he hung up on me. So now I had to call my dad to let him know what had transpired/to keep him in the loop in case any flack came their way for something he know nothing about. He told me Ash was currently on the phone with my mom (her cell -- Ash called rather than walking 50 feet to their door) and was going on about how he already apologized and would not accept or tolerate being berated by someone who wasn't even a guest. (Recall my parents had no idea I'd called - what a confusing conversation this had to be.) Now I'm super frustrated. It's one thing to go off on me on the phone because you have no emotional control and can't handle being wrong. It's another thing to call my unknowing parents and go nuts. I can't imagine this is the only time this has happened. When else do you go in rooms? When occupants aren't in there, are you going in to make calls/look around/etc.? And why is this considered okay? Why was it such an issue to pull out your management 101 skills and offer an apology? Holy Cow. I know this is a long story. Obviously, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay a few extra dollars and stay somewhere nicer, where you (or your parents) will be treated with dignity and respect. I travel frequently, and I have never been spoken to in this manner or been treated so poorly. I'm not trashing the whole place -- it was clean enough, safe enough, staff was friendly enough. So I am making a cross-country trip and get stuck in 3 hour gridlock in Carlisle, AR. This set us back so we wanted a cheap hotel in the area. Did a quick yelp search and came across this place. 4.5 stars on Priceline- sign me up! Well, Priceline, you were wrong. So wrong. I walk in and am "greeted" by a hormonal teenager with the customer service skills of a monkey. He barely glanced up from his cell phone and did not acknowledge me standing in front of him. I speak first: Hello, how are you tonight? Guy at front desk: Hi. Need a room? Me: I actually have a reservation. Under Tiffany... Guy: I don't see it in my system. If you booked it through a third party, you'll need to wait 30 minutes until I get their FAX (?!) that proves you paid Me: I have a confirmation email I can show you. Guy: Okay show me *looks at email* Yeah you did book here and pay, still gotta wait on this fax. face palm So I wait thirty minutes. He calls me over and tells me he has the fax. He then asked for ID and a card for incidentals then handed me a receipt that indicated he'd charged me for the room. He then said "oh wait, Priceline already charged you for this room...I need to refund your money." He ran my card a second time to process the refund. I proceeded to my room. Twenty minutes later, he calls me and asks me to come back to the front desk. He needed to charge my card AGAIN. The worst hotel check-in experience ever! Also the room is dingy and old. This place was clean and safe. A good enough place to lie down for a night from being on the road all day. The breakfast was included in the price and wasn't bad. Cereal, bagels, waffles, biscuits and gravy are some of the breakfast items that were available. This isn't a place that I'd plan on staying for an extended amount of time but it worked for an over night trip for my family to get rested. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive, pet-friendly hotel, this is great. Our small dog was an extra $15. This hotel was WAY less offensive than other hotels at the same price point at which I have stayed. I didn't feel uncomfortable or grossed out. Staff is friendly, water pressure good, the area felt safe, and there are many chain restaurants in the vicinity. Continental breakfast is mainly over processed white bread options, but that is typical for continental breakfasts. They do have yogurt and bananas, and there is a Starbucks 3 miles down the road. read more

This is the second time this year I have had a need to find alternate accommodations for 1 night although I actually live in Bryant. The room was acceptable enough...however, staff was very unfriendly, somewhat rude... My son and I checked in around 8:30 pm. And basically went in...warmed our dinner in microwave which we brought with us...watched a lil TV and went to sleep. Myself in chair...my son on top of bed which was never unmaid. We did not even use shower! I had brought my own disinfectant spray in to spray surfaces when we went in and again b4 we left. Leaving room exactly as it was when we came in aside from a cpl wet washclothes used to wash face. Unlike 1st time (only 2 months ago) using exact same payment...I was informed about extra $50 hold on my debit card...above the $78 for room charges...and actually voiced my concern using my card this way. The man seemed very shady and gave me strange looks every time I made a trip back to my car to have a smoke. Yesterday, after checkout ,I learn there was just cause for my concerns...when I get voicemail saying "There will be added charges on my card due to an "odor" in room!!!! Lysol spray!! Really??? For what??? Adding extra layer of protection during a PANDEMIC!!! They are straight up ripping me off!!! The room was clean and the facility was nice. When it came to check out that's when I started having issues. JoJo one of the staff members was absolutely great she did everything she could to help us out. Ash the manager on the other hand was extremely irritated. I was dbl charged for my room and then extra charged for cleaning fee (my youngest had a potty accident) which I understand for but not to be charged twice for it. When trying to get this resolved I'm told it's a glitch in their system but it depends on my bank if they're going to help reverse the charges. Mind you I've already gone to my bank to confirm that I was being dbl charged for my room after I was told I was not. I've stayed at plenty of hotels and I've never had this issue before! If you plan on staying then I recommend you keep an eye on your charges and make sure you're not over charged!!! read more

Was doubled billed for one room!!! Upon arriving at the front desk I gave the requested ID and credit card used to book the room via the app. I asked the woman at the counter if the room had one or two beds since the app didn't specify. She replied one king bed. I asked if I could pay extra for two beds. She replied it was slightly higher at $68. I said I would gladly pay the difference. After 3 or 4 minutes of discerning looks and a walk and return from the back she did some typing and gave me a room key. I left with my brother (was present during the whole process) to get luggage from the car and when we returned and walked by the counter she told me that I would have to cancel the HotelTonight reservation. Of course one cannot cancel most hotel booking apps... especially HotelTonight. I asked for an immediate refund since she didn't tell me that she was billing me again. I stayed here when I was close to my due date. I had a friend come over and hang out for a little bit while I changed clothes so we could go swimming. When we came back, I realized that my key card didn't work. So I went downstairs to get another one and was told that I wasn't allowed to go back into my room, until I gave Ash $60 to pay for my friend sitting on a chair for like, 10 minutes. I made my reservations through priceline which said, and showed a picture of two beds double occupancy. When I checked in on 4/5\15 I was told I had to take a king bed. There was me, my husband, my 22 year old daughter and her baby, there was no way that would work. The person checking us in went a head and gave us a double queen but I don't think she was suppose to. The manager had her on the phone the entire time I was at the front desk yelling at her. We got to our room. My daughter pulled down the covers and there were no sheets on her bed so she made out back up and slept on top with her own blanket. It was late we had been traveling for hours and needed to leave early. We did not use the towels or shower and room was left in very clean condition. We were not on the road but 5 minutes when the manager called my cell and said there were black marks on the rug and out in the hall and he would need to shampoo all the carpets and wanted compensation. I explained to him had it been us the marks would have been all the way down the hall. He said that they were not there before and the cleaning lady verified that so we needed to pay for those marks. We are very clean people. There was nothing on any of our shoes unless it was picked up from his parking lot but again it would have been dirty from check in on. I asked for the Gm number or corporate and he told me he was as high as I could go so I should just settle with him. I told him I would go to the BBB . He started well I understand if you can't afford it. I said we can afford it we just won't pay it. I told him I will make sure the word gets out some how about his behavior and he hung up on me. If I could give this place a 0 rating I would. It was the nastiest, smelliest, most abominable hotel I have ever been in. There was a sick film on the walls, the floors were filthy and grimy, the sheets were so thin you could see all the stains on the mattress thru the sheets, and the curtains on the window were ripped and shredded.
