I called Jerry Dylhoff, the owner of Kitchen and Bath Unlimited, who originally installed the faucets. He told me the kitchen sink was made by Kohler and the one in the bathroom by Eclipse. He suggested I call Kohler and request the part needed to fix the problem. He provided their phone number and the part number of the faucet. When it came to the other faucet he told he'd have to look to see who made it. While looking, he discovered he had purchased the same faucet to use for display purposes. Since he still had it seven years later, he saw no need to keep it and asked if I would like to have it and if so, he would give it to me for free. I could not believe my ears. He even delivered the faucet to my house later in the day. This is a faucet I have been trying to fix for months and had resigned myself to having to buy a new one. I could not believe in one phone call he had helped me resolve two faucet issues in a matter of minutes. My wife was excited to as it meant the "honey do" that had been on her list for me for a long time would finally be completed. Folks, this is what outstanding customer service looks like and to me Jerry lives this everyday. On my next remodel or faucet replacement I have no question who I will call. I hope you do too. Thanks Jerry on a job well done from one very satisfied customer! Sincerely, Gary Stafford Mattawan, Michigan

From the moment we walked in the first day, Jerad, the owner, treated us like close friends and helped us with every step of our vision. He made time WELL after business hours and sat with us for over two hours planning every inch of our kitchen. Over the course of the remodel he was always available when new hiccups came up and was a frequent visitor during construction to make sure things were proceeding smoothly. We found their pricing very fair and there were no surprises at any point. Jerad asked what our budget was early on and kept to it, but produced gorgeous results. We got the "30 year kitchen" we were promised, and we couldn't be more pleased. Thank you!

This has been the most exciting year (2022) that we've lived in our house! It was time to remodel…read moreour kitchen - something we had dreamed of doing for many, many years. We chose Kirshman Kitchens in Kalamazoo to help us design our new kitchen. We had known about their company and admired the various stunningly beautiful kitchens they created over the years in Kalamazoo and elsewhere in southwest Michigan. We met with them the middle of last year at their Kitchen Design Studio with some basic ideas of what we hoped to have in the kitchen and told them also that we wanted to have the kitchen space enlarged. Their employees came out afterwards to measure every bit of our kitchen as well as the hallway, the bathroom, and the mudroom leading to our back door. Shortly after this the owners produced a detailed computer-aided design (CAD)showing us in 3 D what the space would look like using most of our mudroom for a pantry and removing the last part of the original wall between the kitchen and its informal dining area. They gave us names of companies in Grand Rapids and in Kalamazoo for wood flooring and appliances and backsplash tiles. They recommended a cabinet maker in Indiana (custom builders) as well as a stone works company in Grand Rapids for our countertops and long work table/dining table - with samples from which we could choose and they took care of ordering what we chose. They gave us a list of builders and we chose the builder who was also an architect - one of our very best decisions. He worked with various painters, electricians, and plumbers. And he himself eventually tiled the bathroom floor and the remaining mudroom area as well as putting up the backsplash tiles. Using Kirshman's blueprints he knew just what to do and when ... and from that very first day (the day after Christmas) when he came with his handyman to take out our existing counters and appliances and knock down various walls... the kitchen area was a joy because we could visualize little by little, day by day. what it would become. Our builder was always open to our comments or concerns and he was able to solve without difficulty any issue or complication that arose. Despite supply slow-downs country-wide, everything was available when it was needed and everything moved along smoothly...much quicker than we expected during this pandemic year. Everything was completed - even the installation of the last-to-arrive special-ordered large window - before the end of summer. We have truly been enjoying our new kitchen and find ourselves spending much of our time right there whether we're cooking or not. It's so big and bright ... and beautiful in every way. We are especially grateful to Kirshman Kitchens for making it all possible.

We had been working with an interior designer in Chicago, but Kirshman had great reviews (as you can see here) and we were really looking forward to what they had to offer. We were running another errand in Kalamazoo and decided to stop by and talk to someone even though we hadn't made a formal appointment and also just see their showroom. We happened to have our 14 month old with us that afternoon, however she is incredibly well behaved or I wouldn't have even considered bringing her into a store. Upon walking in to the empty showroom, we were approached by an older woman who asked if she "could help us" in a not so friendly tone. We told her we were working on a project and that we were hoping to get some information. Her response was "unfortunately our leads times are out into next year." with a disappointingly fake smile. No follow-up questions about our name, timeline, project, what we were looking for...etc. My husband politely continued to say that was fine and ask a few follow-up questions and if we would be able to look around. She told us that they ONLY sell "custom" cabinets and "quartz, quartzite, or granite" countertops (all of which we are intending for the house), and even proceeded to recommend some less high-end stores that we could go talk to. At one point after being completely silent throughout the time we were talking, my daughter made a frustrated sound, and the woman immediately says "Ope, looks like it's time to go." My jaw nearly dropped at the blatant disrespect and rudeness. At this point it was obvious discrimination, and so my husband politely thanked her for the information and asked if there was a card we could get to contact them. She picked up a card and said that her name was Corrie Kirshman, but she would give us the card of one of her junior people on her team. It was truly disappointing to have that kind of experience and feel so unwelcome, especially as I have no doubt in my mind our project and budget would have been in the range of her clientele. We weren't dressed up when we went in as we had taken the day off, so we were just in jeans and sandals. My husband is also Dominican-American. While I typically feel incredibly hesitant bringing that up especially in today's political culture, this experience made us both question the possibility of what would warrant that kind of service. This is the first time I have ever written a poor review in my life, but felt compelled to share. I have no doubt that they do beautiful work, and all I can say is if you would like to avoid a "Pretty Woman" moment just make sure your not a POC and don't dress casual.

Was recommended The Kitchen Shop by our contractor but will never choose to work with them again…read more On two separate occasions the individuals we were working with throughout our project left the company and we were never given notice, nor was our project communication taken over by anyone else. Promised deadlines were not met, product details were left out (we were only shown small samples of our cabinet choice and were shocked by the imperfections that exist on a larger scale). Also ordered our countertops/backsplash through them which was sent off to MKD, which turned into a bigger customer service nightmare. Very disappointed especially after spending so much money on our project.

We ordered new kitchen cabinets over a year ago. The Kitchen Shop required payment in full before…read morethey would place the order. More than a year later, we are still waiting. They have delivered ill fitting, mismatched colors, and warped materials. Over half of the cabinet doors were either the wrong color, warped, or coming apart at the seams. We have been patient, but that has been met with rudeness (unreturned phone calls, comments like "at least your kitchen is functioning" and "What do you want me to do, cut down a tree, mill it and paint it myself", etc.) They continue to blame their supplier, Mid-Continental Cabinets, the pandemic, etc, but fail to make good on their promise. We have been forced to contact the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. My advice to anyone, go to a big box store where they will stand behind their product and service.
