When trying to…read morefind the best possible childcare for our son, we toured many different day care centers and spoke to the parents we knew in the area about their experiences. We ended up deciding on the JCC based on what we heard from others as well as the tour there, and are so happy that we did. My son's teachers keep us updated via the HiMama app throughout the day and are so caring and responsive to any questions or concerns. There are numerous outdoor play areas and the facility is very clean and organized. They have an excellent covid policy in place as well, which keeps the children and staff as safe as possible. We are also JCC fitness center members and enjoy the facilities, and we plan to look into the offered work out classes as well!

Perched on a hill, Schiller Park has multiple levels- the lowest ground is where the soccer fields…read moreand a big parking lot are, with a narrow paved footpath around the parameter. Going uphill there is a good sized playground, tennis courts, and basketball courts (admittedly often overgrown). From the playground to the courts the park road is blocked to vehicle traffic. On the upper area is an outdoor community pool, a parking lot, and an outdoor gym set up. Then there's also blocked off lower and upper roads encircling a hill and a small field, which look so quaint I always picture Bilbo Baggins living there. The views of the city the pool area and the top field are magnificent, and benches invite you to stay for a while to enjoy it (or maybe catch your breath from walking there). Schiller has two access points to park by car (Farmer St- lower, Oak St- upper) and plenty of access by foot. I've spent many many visits exploring the different paths of Schiller. It's a park which feels very much at the center of it's community, a touch rough on some edges, but very beautiful.

We wanted to go down by the play equipment, but the road is closed off the vehicles. We were able to leave the park and drive around the corner and park in a lower parking lot which is near the baseball diamond. There was one lone table near a building called the recreation center, and it was in a little gazebo. Kids enjoyed the play equipment. It must have been installed or upgraded very recently as it was very new 8/2015. There are two areas one for smaller kids 2-5 and one for larger kids 5-12. There is one small table in each of the kids areas which has a cover and provides shade during the hot summer months when kids are out playing.

Really uncomfortable and unfair experience…read more I came just to watch my younger sister, not skate. I stepped outside briefly and when I came back I was forced to pay $30 just to sit inside with my friend. I was also told I would have to pay an extra $5 if I wanted to skate. The problem is that other people sitting there, including people working on laptops, said they did not pay when I asked. My parents have also never been charged just to watch. On top of that, the employee searched only me and my friend's backpacks and no one else's. After finding nothing, she said "wow you guys are good boys, there are no drugs," which was completely inappropriate. Being the only ones singled out for a bag search and charged when others were not felt very unfair. Given that I am Middle Eastern and my friend is Asian, it also felt like this may have been racially motivated. Update: After posting this review, the owner went up to my younger sister and her friends and asked if they were the ones who wrote the review, telling them they could get in trouble for it. She then came over to my table, confronted me about the review, said it was not appreciated or deserved, and became sarcastic during the interaction. This made the situation even more uncomfortable and only reinforced my original concerns about how we were treated. Would not recommend.

I explained the website said something different and they should check it to update it but thank you for answering my questions. And her reply? My website is correct and then she hung up. I called back thinking it was an accidental hang up. Nose. Caller id. She let it go to voicemail. Way to lose business. I'll go someplace further next time because I will never pay for a company to be total assholes. Ps- check out the mentions on Facebook and reviews on google. Clearly this isn't the first time they were extremely rude as I'm sure it won't be the last. At least at somebody else's expense.
