The loss of income and struggle in managing the monumental task of shutting down fridges, managing food waste, moving tables and chairs and figuring out what to do next was overwhelming, until I met Carey from Lucy Pearlle's. What a gift this highly creative, energetic visionary is! Carey came for a site visit, assessed the space I had to work with and asked what I wanted to do with my business moving forward. Before she gave any recommendations she wanted to understand my vision first and what I needed this 1000 square feet to do for my business and my customers. Carey thought that she could help me and I was especially relieved to hear that she could use what I already had at hand, repurpose it to be more functional AND make it look great too. Within a week, she returned with an assistant. The results were far beyond what I ever could have imagined! Only two and a half hours and the room had been totally transformed. Piles of stock and furniture was cleared out, reorganized and set up beautifully so that I can now welcome customers back in to shop this weekend. Carey worked collaboratively with my staff to get the job done quickly and ensured that they also felt a part of the process. Most importantly, Carey did far more than just reorganize my space. She gave me hope during a pandemic. She showed me that my business can indeed be reinvented with ease and inexpensively. My commercial space, once she redesigned it with all of my best loved pieces at the forefront, made me feel energized and ready to reopen with a new exciting vision. THAT is great customer service. Carey will definitely be my go to designer to call anytime I need a hand in the future.

RATING FOR OUTDOOR SCULPTURE GARDEN…read more We were in Guelph for hubby's work assignment; and as a good Yelper/budget tourist, I had to scope out interesting and free spots to explore in the city. It was a holiday weekend so the museum itself was closed; but the outdoor sculpture garden is always open, even on holidays and weekends. The Donald Forster Sculpture Park takes up 2 1/2 acres, and is the "largest sculpture park at a public gallery in Canada, featuring 39 works by prominent Canadian and international artists" - website. There are many trees to shade you from the sun, but only a few places to sit if you want to rest. I adore outdoor sculpture gardens because they combine art and beautiful landscaping. The sculptures were easy to locate since they were in the museum's perimeter. I was happy that I able to find all of them without much effort; and since they were positioned close together, I could take my time admiring each piece. Make sure to download a map from their website http://artgalleryofguelph.ca/education_list/sculpture-park/ My favorite sculpture was Evan Penny's "Mask" 1989 (bronze). It's an optical illusion: watch my video and you'll understand why it is my favorite https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sQE9JuasZ7buV4FYJG860g?select_video=p4ikSjC4h0eBetLExs1ANQ&utm_source=oshare&ref=yelp-android. I had a lovely time strolling through this beautiful outdoor sculpture garden. Next time I'll have to visit the indoor art gallery as well; it's also free!

It's located right in the heart of downtown, making it super accessible, and the space itself is beautiful very clean, quiet, and well-organized. I specifically enjoyed "The Great Lakes" exhibit; it was a really thoughtful exploration of the landscape using different media like video and sculpture. The gallery also has a fantastic permanent collection of Canadian art (including some Group of Seven pieces) and the Kim Adams "Bruegel-Bosch Bus" is a must-see you can spend ages just looking at all the tiny details in that installation. The staff was helpful and the AGH Shop on the way out has some really unique jewelry and home goods that you don't see everywhere else. Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, it's a great way to spend a few hours. If you're coming on a weekend, check the parking meters nearby as some are free on Saturdays, or use the underground city parking right on King Street West. Thursday's admission is free and the gallery is open late :).

It was a really unique exhibit with some interesting artwork including 3D sculptures, an interactive element, and collages made by local artists. Would I Recommend this Museum? Definitely!
