Yay! I am a fan! I am amending my one star review written 5 days ago after the speedy and efficient resolution of the owner and senior Loan officer who wanted to make things right after reading about my nightmarish experience with Josh M. Moore, Lending officer (October 31 2019 refi - was that date mistimed? ;). Sam, the owner, immediately reached out to me via Messenger to let me know that Josh was not an employee. When I messaged him a screenshot of the email address and logo, I was contacted by Senior loan officer Brian Santos and informed that Josh had been let go due to questionable internal actions and behavior and they were not aware he was still operating under the logo and guise of a Homepath lending officer. Brian Santos - immediately set out to right the wrongs of their previous employee. Within 48 hours - they had overnighted me a check for the disputed amount that was still owed to us by Josh and I am confident in the integrity and professionalism of the company. Brian even offered to review the loan to make sure the loan was fair and correct. Despite the fact that Josh Michael Moore basically committed fraud by his actions and behaviors, and I wish I could prevent others from falling prey to his services and promises. I feel very well taken care of by Homepath Lending and would not hesitate to reach out to Brian Santos or Sam for future refis or other services. Sam helped us with the purchase of our first home. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spent numerous phone calls breaking down the loan process and updates with the market. He is extremely responsive and patient. Many lenders and brokers are aggressive and pushy, and we never had that type of experience with him. This review is long overdue, but I still don't even know if I can describe how much I appreciate this lending company and Wesam Hijazin (Sam), to be specific. I was working with another lender when I was trying to purchase my first property, a 4-bedroom condo, and just didn't feel secure. All my meetings were rushed, the process wasn't really made clear, and my questions weren't answered to my satisfaction. My sister and her husband purchased a home just before I made an offer on my condo and recommended HomePath Lending and referred me to Sam (Wesam Hijazin) specifically. After meeting with Sam for the first time, I dropped all interaction with my previous lender and knew that I was going to purchase the condo through HomePath Lending. Sam was unbelievably helpful through the process, which I greatly appreciated as a first-time home-buyer. He answered all my questions with clarity and detail. He explained important information relating to making offers, loan options, interest rates, escrow, property inspection, property appraisal, etc. Behind his desk, there is a cork-board with thank-you cards posted all over it. That alone speaks to the fact that Sam is great at what he does, and better yet, he actually cares to help home-buyers get the best deal and best interest rates possible. This is regarding cash out refin of a rental house with no mortgage. I spoke with Joseph Shalaby and he promised fast process (in a few days). I gave them all the personal information, such as tax returns, bank statements, paychecks, etc. Everything seems to be fine and ready to go. In the end, they wanted an appraisal. I met with the appraiser and paid several hundred dollars. After the appraisal, there was silence and no action. Weeks go by and months go by. I email and asking what happened? All I get is lip service, please wait and wait. No action. What is the point of going all the way to the end by ordering an appraisal knowing you are not able to deliver the loan? So I ask for a refund. Again, more lip service, wait and wait. If you have a lot of time and extra money to waste, give him a try. read more
