Always bringing in new products, organized, I can find most of the things I am looking for. Especially, the pet section at a great price. This location does bring very nice furniture pieces and rugs. HomeGoods is the home decor version of TJ Maxx. Lots of "Made in China" junk that costs more than what you'd find at a dollar store but is still schlocky and junky nevertheless. I find better quality items at thrift stores and vintage stores but if you are one of those who shudder at the word "used" there are more than enough contemporary "new" items to satisfy your inner shopaholic and impulse buyer before all it breaks down in a year or two and ends up in the landfill. Nothing here feels high end - it's all budget stuff made to look better than it is. The gourmet food section is full of wannabe high-end products that nevertheless give off a stale air even when the expiration date is a year into the future! It's like the island of misfit toys - low end brands straining to appear high end by claiming to be foreign (Scottish highland cookies; Rome Italian snacks) and the better known ones, like Stonewall Kitchen, offer bizarrely flavored jams (strawberry fig orange jam, anyone?) that obviously didn't sell (lab experiments gone wrong) and thus end up at HomeGoods. After sampling some of these foodstuffs, I've come to the conclusion that most, if not all, is mass produced and you're only fooling yourself if you think it's special or "gourmet." The nadir was room temperature "French" macaroons. Yuck! Overall, it's an average quality store with lots of overstock, discontinued and discounted merchandise that appeals to budget minded consumers. But others who want quality goods that actually last should look elsewhere. read more

We have gone to Homegoods for many things over the years. It's usually for kitchenware, furniture and home accents. But it wasn't until we got a puppy that we started noticing that they have an entire section of the store labeled the "pet shop". And this is in every one of their stores. They have many selections of toys and chew toys for dogs. Beds of all kinds for cats and dogs. They also have the essentials like shampoo, pet air freshener, etc. Oh! It's a great place to get doggie treats too. It's just really surprising that they have so much. It's always been there, just never noticed or paid attention till now. The stores are always pet friendly. There's no shortage of puppy and dog lovers shopping there. Cashier's are always looking for a little puppy therapy to! =) read more

I really like this location. It has a wide variety of home furnishings to chose from. The front of the store has food items and coffees. Towards the center and back flower items, home office decor, rugs, etc. In the back of the store there are frames and window treatments. The only thing I would change is to add more cashiers for quicker check out. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to pay for items. However everyone is pleasant and helpful so it keeps me coming back. The only thing I do not like is I think the majority of the staff don't have any clue about the store! Many times they have been very unhelpful they walk past a disaster on the floor and don't clean it. They know nothing on the stock and they chat together to much. Very Disappointed! I usually come here once and a while to find things that "fit" in my apt. The thing I like it is ever changing which makes it an exciting experience each time i go. (wish I can go now, need a little change around here after being stuck inside for so long) Just watch what you are buying, sometimes there is some damage or missing parts on items, that has been my experience anyway. One downfall is messy shelves and isles, somtimes they are not passable. But over all a good place to go. read more

This review relates specifically to the delivery of large furniture. HomeGoods does not deliver furniture. You are responsible for transporting it, OR they will put you in touch with a third party mover called Select Express. This is an expensive, disorganized and confusing process. $100 to deliver one TV console 1 mile from the store. Some employees are not even aware of this service and will vehemently deny it exists. If you go this route be prepared for several days of back-and-forth he said/she said between HomeGoods and Select Express. You pay in full for the furniture at the store and even though HomeGoods tells you they will put it away in the back, it's a lie and they will leave it on the floor for customers to manhandle. I know because I went back a couple of days later to check. Select Express did not deliver my furniture by 10:30 PM and when I called them they lied and said the truck was at the store picking up the piece at that very moment. I said "But the store closes at 9:30 PM." If you decide to cancel everything like I did you will spend several more days trying to get the delivery charge refunded from Select Express. HomeGoods told me that if the piece was not collected within 3 days of payment they will automatically issue a refund. When no refund was issued and I went to the store they treated me like a criminal and said "Well what do you want me to do about it?" and "If the piece is no longer in the store, NO REFUND." - (Thank you Joanne and btw you forgot your meds or perhaps your alcohol that day). The way things went, what if they sold the piece I paid for to another customer? You'd be SOL. In contrast to Joanne, there are a number of very pleasant and helpful employees. I met them all during this tiresome odyssey: Enrique, Ramirez, Olenka and Ozlem. I would still shop here because they have nice things, but I won't buy anything I can't carry myself. read more

The worse HomeGoods I've ever been to. The store is a total mess and it is almost impossible to find anything. The check out process was so slooooow. We were standing in line for what seemed like hours and were close to just leaving our items behind and walking out. If you're parking in the mall's garage it is free for the first hour and then you pay per hour afterwards. Between finding what you need here and standing in the check out you will not be out of here within an hour. If you're in Queens I recommend making the trip out to Long Island and going to that HomeGoods instead. read more

I love this home goods. Ive been to a handful and this is on the cleaner, neater side. I find the employees helpful. I was just there yesterday purchasing some pieces and the employee helped bring them to the front as well as organized the things in my truck to make everything fit nice and secure. It's paid parking which isn't great, but the store has everything you need and is easy to find. You won't be spending hours digging through stuff. read more

Another great store for guys like me who don't care for shopping while their wife is browsing the entire store. There's plenty of furniture to just sit and relax in. This place is a total mess. The manager Debra is the worst person to deal with.. my infant got a gift that was bought at the store and within a month I wanted to return it because I didn't use it and they couldn't return it for me because "it was out of their system" she then didn't even give me another option of what I can do but instead with the nastiest attitude decided to say sorry shrug her shoulders and walk away.. the management there SUCKS! Make sure to NOT shop here if you need any help from the employees because they obviously don't care to do their job. read more

This location has terrible customer service. My Interaction with cashier (Amna) was beyond upsetting. The store wasnt busy at all. Though the store is disorganized with no Manger onsite -- I found a few decent items. When I was ready to pay and my total came to $850. I was alone and my car was in the second floor when I discovered i couldn't take the shopping cart out of the store. I asked the cashier if there was a way to get an associate to help me bring the items to my car. She said . I asked again letting her know that I made a large purchase and that I could only get help if it was furniture related. She had the audacity to say " to be honest this is not a large purchase I have see larger orders". It is beyond me --- how they expect customers to carry so many items to the bottom floor and then come up for a second or third trip. The manager was missing in action and didn't do anything. I then told the cashier that I would not take the purchase and she said"fine". I then asked her to process my return. I showed her my ereceipt and was difficult about the return as well. She said the phone was too dark, then I change the light and she still couldn't do it. i asked if she could do it manually and was hesitant until she figured it out. Then she asked for the receipt again afte I has put my phone down and kept scrolling up and down the receipt like she was messing with me. I then asked her if I could help her find any information and she said the date is not on the receipt -- which again was frustrating at how she was handling her role as a cashier. I then pointed out the exact location of the receipt. I would not come back to this store -- not worth the poor service and the long island locations have well trained managers and quality representatives that actually understand this business and how it works. Again cool stuff but don't expect good customer service. read more

Very small location in addition to it always being a giant mess. Went in and bought a damaged hallway table for a decent price, would have been happier if after they made us wait 15 minutes and the manager(Big black dude literally named hercules) actually took something off the price. Even if it was 5 bucks, that would have made me feet like a valued customer or just shown that they really do care about their business. His response was, the damage isn't significant enough for a discount. Honestly it really wasn't a deal breaker clearly since I still bought it. But to be frank, any damage should be significant for any business owner. Place is meager but you can get lucky every now and then , especially if its not "significantly" damaged. I think this is the best HomeGoods in the Queens/Long Island area. This one isn't huge but it is more clean and organized and well stocked than some other locations. I have always found plenty of things to buy here! This is located in a shopping center so there is a parking lot available. I believe parking is free under in hour if you park in the inside lot. read more

This location has terrible customer service and only two registers open when it's busy. I tried to call to reserve an item that i saw in the morning that was not priced yet. I was placed on hold and then hung up on after 10 minutes of waiting patiently. Tried to call back twice with no answer. I work in retail as a manager, my team would never leave a customer hanging like that. You're busy? Get another associate to take the call or get a manager. Also, manage your payroll more efficiently so that you have more staff on the floor or cashiers to ring during high traffic hours. If you want to succeed as a retail establishment then treat your customers as you state in your voicemail...where every customer matters. I'll be shopping in Bay Terrace from now on. read more

I. Love. Homegoods. I'm so excited they finally have one in Queens! Since it's the holiday season I have the perfect excuse to go and look for decor and other home junk I really don't need. This location is in the back of Atlas Park previously occupied by a grocery. If you park in the lot there are multiple ways to get to the store but there is a sign in the lot directing you. It was crowded when we went last Saturday but the store didn't feel overwhelming tight. There is room to move around the aisles even with a shopping cart. Their kitchen section ( which is my favorite) was fully stocked. I saw plenty of Le Cruset items which were offered at great prices ( though not in my budget that day), lots of glassware, flatware, pots and there was an entire wall dedicated to kitchen gadgets like can openers and spatulas. They were lacking in the pans department though. There were tons of holiday decor, it probably took up the entire middle section of the store. I'm curious to see what they will have during other seasons. The bathroom section could use some work, the stock was limited. The bedding section was pretty good with the usual finds you see at other homegoods. They have some nice furniture as well, chairs, coffee tables, mirrors and large floor rugs in the back. Overall it's a really nice Homegoods and I'm hoping they keep up the good stock and selection. read more

Staff was exceptionally rude. The coordinator I think her name was Barbara dagostino gave me an attitude and was not very polite after I asked nicely if there was some kind of compensation the item's packaging was very ripped and torn. Apparently even though packaging is part of the the items integrity and newness home goods doesn't have a policy for ripped and damaged items. This policy is rude towards customers and I've never heard of a store not taking off for damage like that. I found my experience to be very disrespectful. read more

So disappointed with the level of service. I found a rather damaged item in December 2017 which I liked but would not have even paid the the marked down price given the damage to the item. I went back today, April 2018, and found the item still on the shelf, now out of its packaging and more damaged. I asked the cashier and managment if there was anything they could do to reduce the price since the item was damaged. The female manager explained that the item had already been reduced twice. I then told her that I know that item had not been discounted since I last saw it on the shelf in December 2017, almost 5 months ago. The manager immediately dismissed my claim stating that there was no way the item could have been on the shelf for 5 months without having been marked down, since they go through inventory every two weeks. Knowing she was wrong about her inventory I walked away from the sale. I won't be doing business with a company who accuses me of being a liar especially if they're going to be so rude about it. There are more professional ways to enforce your sticker prices. read more

Went in to return a bunny tray mold that I purchased on 4/20. My daughter wanted to make slime but I got the flu so long story short the manager was very dismissive and just ignored me because the store "policy" doesn't take holiday merchandise. After explaining that I've been a homegoods shopper for years and never heard of that ( also not listed on the receipt) andddd the tray was still in original packaging she just told the cashier it cant be taken back and is taking a 15min break. To be clear the $7.99 tray isn't an issue its just the lack of customer service with this place and its happened in the past. I got on the phone with corporate and they spoke with them and advised them not to say this to costumers because it is NOT A HOMEGOODS POLICY!!!! Only halloween merchandise cannot be returned. So people please be aware, the manager cant just make up his/her own rules. If you think your not being treated fairly call corporate 1 (800) 888-0776. i enjoy shopping at home goods and i never leave without buying something . on the main level at the atlas park mall and near the parking entrance . this home goods has a decent selection of home and house wares with a sprinkle of cool , funky and semi weird stuff for the crib .a good choices of stuff to fill a empty room or space and the prices are decent mostly with a few items that were a bit overpriced . i found a table that had rolling wheels which i can bring from room to room when tv binge watching and for 75 bucks it's a winner .i recommend going aisle to aisle and section to section cause plenty of goods are semi hidden in the rear area . no one was around to help unless you go looking for someone but i understand cause the staff are really busy picking up items that some shoppers drop or knock down on the floor .after almost 40 minutes inside home goods i make my way to the checkout line and it's a long line but it's a moving line so my wait is less then 10 minutes . spent 200 bucks and it will be well worth it . read more

I was so excited to have a Homegoods near my home but a managers there (a middle age African American male) has ruined my love for Homegoods especially at this location!!! I will not shop here again. I've been to the store twice and I was unhappy with the way the Manager handled the situation with me shopping there with my toy yorkie (my baby). He was very unpleasant and somewhat rude about no pets in the store, not only to me but to another customer as I was entering the store for the first time. (Keep in mind they have a section where they sell things for dog) I decided to give them another try leaving my baby (doggie) home. As I was shopping I noticed a few customers with their dogs I was like huh? So I decided to go ask if dogs we really not allowed in the store and one young man up front by the register was very pleasant and stated I don't see why not I've seen a few dogs in the store today. I informed him what had happened last week when I came to the store and he found that strange. He said to me I can ask the manger so I said I will ask and was directed to the same person who threw me out the store with my doggie and once again he was very unpleasant and rude. I asked why do I see dogs in the store today while last week i wasn't allowed to enter and he said it's store policy along with a few other things. I was like Tjmax and most of all the other stores at Atlas as well as other Homegoods allow me in with my dog. Anyhow not shopping there again!!!!!!
