Chris and his 2 man crew installed 18 kitchen cabinets and associated trim, molding and accessories. He and his team did a great job and completed the bulk of the install within 3 days. The remainder of the work needed to wait for the granite counter-top and tile flooring install. I was impressed with their professionalism and constant update and communication. Chris and team showed up at the time they said they would each day. And, most importantly, the team's craftsmanship was top notch! I would request that Home Depot use Chris Bajorek on any future home upgrades. From the beginning, it was evident that Chris had done cabinet installs many times before. He and his team asked relevant questions about the cabinet height, trim and molding placements, type of flooring and backsplash. After the initial meeting and the inspection of the installation site in the gutted kitchen, I felt very confident in the upcoming install. When the cabinetry and trim arrived, Chris opened every box and inspected each piece and verified the bill of materials. The final product was excellent, with not even minor defects in either the cabinets or the workmanship. After the granite counter-tops and flooring went in, Chris and team quickly finished installing toekick boards and a few pieces of angle trim. Throughout the entire job, Chris and his team left the workplace clean each evening. I would also like to add that Plamar, Home Depot's granite fabricator, like Chris, demonstrated the highest standards of professionalism. Eddie came out immediately after I reported that the cabinets were installed and constructed the templates for the granite. Eddie indicated that it would take about two weeks to complete the granite fabrication. As promised, a day short of two weeks, Martin and team installed the granite in a day (peninsula slab, and an angled counter-top with undermount sink, four holes and cook-top cutouts. The following day, they completed the sink install. When the standard-sized hole drilled for the hot water dispenser proved a bit too small, Plamar sent out someone to ream the hole out the following day at no extra charge. I was so pleased with Plamar, I had them make a lazy-susan using the granite cut out for the cook-top. I highly recommend Chris Bajorek, the Home Depot General Contractor, and the great people at Plamar. read more

Chris and his crew did a fantastic job installing our "dream" kitchen in our home. I could tell we had the right guy for the job from the beginning. At the outset, Chris made sure the cabinetry we ultimately ordered was sized and configured correctly for our kitchen dimensions. When the cabinets were delivered by the manufacturer, he came out to our house to personally inspect the boxed cabinets in our garage well before the actual install date, to ensure everything had been delivered and no damage present. It took about 4 to 5 days to complete the work. One thing I really liked about working with Chris was his willingness to communicate with us every step of the way, whether by phone or email. I call that listening to his customer. Because a kitchen is a very personal thing, he went all out to make sure all of us were "in sync" with joint decisions made throughout the process. All installation issues were immediately brought to our attention resulting in sensible decisions - no surprises. A testament to his excellent communication skills. Because Chris is super organized, he made sure all things that we were responsible for, were completed by us in advance or at agreed upon times during installation. This made for a smooth and efficient installation process with no unnecessary delays. He and his crew had expert knowledge in building codes and explained how and why his team handled different installation issues along the way. Chris and his team always showed up when they said they would. They were all very professional, personable, and always maintained a neat and orderly work space (to the extent possible) during the work in progress. What we ultimately wanted in a contractor was a guy who was skilled, honest, logical, willing to communicate with us, and exceptionally organized. We got that (and more) from Chris and his team. The end result is a gorgeous kitchen that has loads of wow factor, that will provide us years of pride and satisfaction. The installation was meticulous and reflected care and craftsmanship by his team. We're very happy with Chris's overall work, but most importantly the kitchen itself. Which explains why we're giving Chris and his crew the highest rating possible. Thanks for giving us the kitchen we've dreamed about for years. You guys rock! read more

Chris and his team came to my home for my kitchen remodeling project about 2 months ago. I ordered all my cabinets and installation service from the Home Depot. However, the previous Home Depot recommended contractor who did the measurement for us couldn't come to my home on his promised starting date (it's not a good sign already); and so Chris and his team came to help out. I am so glad that I had Chris' team work on my kitchen project. After the demonstration was done and half of the cabinets were installed, Chris and his team found out that the previous contractor made a couple of huge mistakes on my kitchen pony wall measurement. My blind corner cabinet was about 7" longer and the installation of the other 2 cabinets was affected as well. I was so stressed out. Thanks to Chris, who has a lot of knowledge/experience quickly came up with a nice solution to modify the cabinets to fit the area and prevent delay. They actually took time to go over the new installation plan with me to make sure that my kitchen still has a design and it would be pretty and functional. Now my kitchen project is done and everything looks great. Chris and his team really did a very good job! Chris and his team are nice and professional. They showed up on time every day and worked very hard on getting my kitchen completed. I can get hold of Chris for questions every time and he always gives me honest answers. I highly recommend Chris and his team! read more

Recently, Chris completed a major kitchen remodel for me and it turned out beautifully. Because it was progressing so well, I went on to update the entry way, bathrooms and dining room. The costs were fair and well-defined before we began each project (I had other contractors submit bids). Having done major remodels before, I knew how important it was to have respectful, reliable and professional people coming into my home each day and Chris and his workers met my expectations. They were on time, trust worthy and neat. They could also be flexible when needed. I appreciated the clean-up each day and the care they took with my house. Chris was also helpful with advice related to those details that can make the difference in a project, like choosing the right toilet or finding the best crown molding. Finally, I recognized Chris's people skills and efforts to work well with the City of San Jose or vendors we came in contact with, which is an important element in moving a project forward. After months of working with Chris, I would not hesitate to work with him again in the future! read more

I was so happy to have Chris and his crew work on my kitchen. Beautiful work! Plus, Chris has superb communication skills and quick to respond. They made extra effort to accommodate our needs and last minute changes. For instance, after they installed kitchen backsplash tiles, I noticed a small hole on a tile made for an old telephone line that we don't use. I forgot to tell them it's no longer needed. It looked ugly and I wasn't sure what to do. Chris listened to me and they immediately closed the hole and replaced the tile they just installed. Having these little things one after another can be stressful. But with Chris, it was so easy. I'm very happy to recommend him to anyone. read more

I had a relatively small problem with water under the kitchen sink. I didn't want to pay some exorbitant fee to have someone fix it. Chris made a deal with me that he'd diagnose what was going on and then I could decide if I was going to engage him on it. He was well on time and when he came into the house , that 15 years of experience showed. He diagnosed my problem in about 20 seconds. The fix had been a nozzle on the sink that had not been tightly screwed. I was definitely more relieved than embarrassed. Chris took an adequate fee for his drive out to my house and using his knowledge to fix the problem. And he was quite nice about it. I would endorse him. . read more

Chris and Paul of Home Works Construction, Inc. came to visit us, in order to resolve some issues with a kitchen installation performed by another contractor. They did an OUTSTANDING job! Not only did they resolve all the issues that we identified, they found and resolved issues that were not on our list. I wish we had been able to work with them from the project onset. They would certainly be the first people that I would call if ever we needed work done in the future. And we would be happy to recommend them at any time. read more
