I needed pet boarding for an up coming vacation for my 5 month old labradoodle, everytime I looked at places I kept coming back to this one. I contacted Chad and scheduled a meet and greet. He answered all of our questions took a tour of playarea grounds and explained the everyday activities. We booked our pups stay. Hoped for the best since it was our pups first time away from home and first time being around other dogs. Drop off: We arrived and Chad was amazing and reassuring. We left feeling comfortable leaving Ollie in good hands. During vacation: we received a daily notification with pictures either mid day or end of day which is what was expected and I knew we'd get contacted if we really needed to be. Pick up: Ollie was excited to see us. I felt bad making him leave all his new friends. So far does not seem like he picked up any bad habits which I did leave Chad instructions...not allowed on furniture, meal times, wake and bed time, so on. We visited Homestyled about a year ago. Chad was very friendly and thorough. He was quick to respond to my messages and walked my family through the process of watching our Sonny . We didn't end up using him until this past weekend and leading up to his stay Chad was not very responsive with his text messages, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he was just busy with his business. When we dropped him off, Chad was not at the door and who I believe was his dad opened the door and took Sonny from us. He asked his name three times in the course of three minutes and though he was not very friendly, I assumed that Chad would be the one watching over him. With the basic package you get one photo a day. And he had told me between 12 and 5. Each night around 8pm I would message him, asking to see how Sonny was and he would respond it was extremely frustrating to have to keep pestering to make sure my dog was OK. I had requested that he'd be bathed before pick up on Sunday, when I picked him up, he was still wet, his hair matted, and did not smell good. They are for sure not as clean as they portray. Sonny came home and went straight for his water bowl. And has had yellow, diarrhea and bloody diarrhea since he got home. I reached out to Chad, and have yet to have a response. I really hate to write this but im compelled to protect future clients and their fur babies. I used Home Styled Pet a few times after finding them on Instagram, at first everything seemed legit, the meet and greet went well, seemed professional. But after the first time, my fur baby came home with a branch stuck in the roof of his mouth. I dismissed it as just an accident, my pet will put anything in his mouth but was he not supervised properly?, I was also not pleased with the way my pet smelled when he came home. I dont think the home is as clean and sanitized as they claim. The last time I used him was out of desperation and decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately it wasnt positive. My pet came home extremely thirsty, he went straight to his water bowl and drank the entire bowl and wanted more. He then gobbled all the kibble in his bowl as if he was starving, even though i supplied his food to them. I don't think he was actually fed. Additionally, although Chad advertises as the person who does the care, each time I showed up to pick up my dog, it was an older gentleman who I assume was Chad's dad, and Chad was not there. Which leads to my question? who is really watching the pets?. I really try to support small business but I just cant make sense of the gut feeling I have with this place, furthermore I did a search on the Rover app, looking for another place to take my pet and was shocked to discover Chad has a profile under a different name, Jimmy U, (Urroz Pets) I really believe something strange is going on with this business, and unfortunately I just cant trust my pet there. We entrusted my 6mo dog to Home Style Pet Care for a weeklong stay. My dog has always been friendly, trusting, and especially good with people, so I was confident he would do well. However, after his stay, I noticed a significant change in his behavior--he became hesitant and fearful around men, which had never been an issue before. Out of concern, I contacted the facility to address what might have happened. They assured me everything went well and maybe it did, but I can't ever know what did or didn't happen during his time there. A year and a half later, my dog is still this way, and it's been heartbreaking to see his confidence so affected. Moving forward, I will only consider facilities that offer complete transparency, including visible cameras that allow pet owners to monitor interactions between staff and dogs. It's a big decision when you leave your dog with anyone. To be quite honest, I have yet to leave my pet in their care, but I did visit with the owners and found their program, facilities, and vibe to be quite positive and very well organized. This is my second time booking with Chad and I love the concept about "homestyle" care for my dog bcz Milo is an indoor dog. However, I do wish Chad was a little bit better with the updates. The first time I met Chad prior to booking him he said " I send about 2 updates per pet" but on both occasions I only got one update and almost towards the end of the day. Mind you first booking I left him for 7 days and the second one for 3 days so I think I should have gotten more than 1 update per day. Also when I would ask how Milo was doing it would take forever to get an answer (see pics below). I understand if they have a routine going on or what not but I also feel that if he promised daily updates and the owner is trusting a stranger to take care of their dog for such a long time then they should incorporate the updates into their "routine" Overall experience was Ok. I'm really sad to share my negative experience with this business, but after leaving little Sally in their care because there were only raving reviews, I feel that I would have been thankful if anyone warned me about this business. My experience negated the very same things people rave about so directly, that I'm left with the impression that these 5 star reviews cannot be anything but fake. First of all, trying to get my first general questions answered took days due to lack of response. Then setting a meet and greet: 4 days to respond with a "yes, that day is good". Since all reviews raved about communication skills, I dismissed this first online interactions and proceeded to the meet and greet. Once I arrived on time, I had to wait 15 minutes outside (what for?). Then the young guy lead me to a very nice backyard, assured me Sally was going to be well taken care of, and stressed several times he'd send "daily updates". I dropped off little Sally, and went on my trip. By the third (of 4) days trip I had received nothing. Now with my heart in my hand, I texted. I had to wait 3.5 hours for a text with a "Sorry for the delay" message. Of course, being the first time I had left Sally with a complete stranger, I was mortified at that point. Next day was the 4th and last day, so, around 7pm I texted saying I was about 30' away from picking up Sally... then I got an update. I still don't understand why I'd want an update now that I'm 30' away from picking her up. I was dying for the very famous daily updates the first 3 days... When Chad asked how my trip was, I told him very politely that I had been very stressed out when I didn't hear from him at all. He literally made a face of disbelief and surprise: he didn't seem to understand that I was expecting what he had promised, or that a dog owner leaving their little girl with a stranger for the first time needed such updates (or at the very least, a quick response after missing the updates for 3 days). We came home and Sally literally ran to the water bowl and drank water for 15 minutes... then she proceeded to pee in the house the entirety of the next day (which had never happened). They have a great set up. It's a shame that they have no idea of how to run a business, respond to inquiries, go through with what they promise, and most importantly, they will NOT care for your dog appropriately. read more

We chose this place on a whim, figured people who have love for dogs are decent people. When we pocked up our two pugs they smelled of literal hell coming out of this place and the ride home. Wondering were they actually held my pugs. We love Home Styled Pet Care! Our 2 year old German Short Haired Pointer is there 3x a week while my husband and I are at work and we love the "home like" environment concept that they use! Our dog can go outside for playtime/water play but also can be inside and comfortable and relax if it's hot or he needs a break. He loves all his friends he gets to play with weekly as well and he's tired out when he gets home from the day. We also have had him do overnights while on vacation and receive daily updates and photos which is super important to us and eases our anxiety when we are away. I boarded my dogs with home styled pet care recently and it was the best experience I ever had with pet sitting. Not only did my dogs get to socialize with other dogs, they were able to go inside the home and relax on the furniture. This is the only place where I feel good about dropping off my dogs because I know they're having a great time. They even both got baths and I picked them up very happy and very clean. Moving forward, this will be the only place where I feel safe leaving my dogs. If you love your pet, this is the only option that will make you feel good about taking vacations and leaving your pet behind. Chad and team are outstanding! My wife and I travel fairly often and were recently looking for a new place to board our large, energetic dogs. We were not pleased with our previous years-long go-to spot, as the dogs started coming home smelling of urine and we questioned (with good reason) how much free time they received outside of their small (expensive!) kennels. I also never loved the idea of leaving them in a traditional boarding facility with so many other animals to compete for attention with, the increased potential for respiratory infections (even with required vaccines), and so much barking throughout the day and night likely leading to undue stress. Home Styled Pet Care seems to solve these issues with so much personalized attention, a true home environment, no kennels, and VERY reasonable pricing. Chad sent pictures every day we were gone and our dogs looked SO happy. (They also have an Instagram account where they post lots of photos and videos of their daycare and overnight pets, which was equally fun to watch.) I joked with my wife that they wouldn't want to come home with us when we returned! This is a new(er) business and it's always easier to go with established companies (with more reviews), but as a real customer I promise you won't be sorry if you give them a chance.
