I don't know how many of you read Bobby Belanger's lame lies in response to my review, but to deny…read morethat any of it ever happened is just plain ridiculous and nonsensical! The attached screen-shot proves that much, at the very least!! Does it not?? Yeah, I think it does! Still want to deny that we ever interacted Bobby??? You know, being bad at business is one thing. Some people just suck at life and that's all there is to it. No reason to be mad about it, and no sense in getting mad about being called out for it. I'm like that about certain things myself. For instance, I am terrible at keeping up correspondence. But I'm not running a service-oriented business that requires that skill. You are! But to just straight up lie about it to all of these good people and say the whole thing never happened? Are you really that dumb?? Guess what - they all know it's true now, don't they? I wish I had posted that screen-shot along with the initial review, but what are you gonna do? It's not like I'm running a service-oriented small business! And don't try to say that we're not connected and therefore you never received my messages. I can post your responses to the questions I asked previously. I fact, you're the one who initiated contact with me when you PM'd me after I said I was looking for a handyman in the "Bellingham Small Business and Beyond" Facebook group.

WOULD URGE GREAT CAUTION in contracting the services of Hard Knock Handyman…read more While both of the owners are indeed quite personable on 1st meet & greet the experience goes entirely downhill from that point on. Despite the fact that I paid them daily (1st red flag) they began the job of refacing my exterior dormers, made an utter mess, and then simply disappeared leaving my exterior dormers exposed to water damage during a particularly rainy Spring season. Moreover the shingles that they did manage to complete entirely buckled within days. The fencing they installed is completely off center. And the mess they left behind took an entire day to clean up. Dozens of unanswered calls/texts latter I am left with a disastrous mess of exposure to resolve. Don't be fooled by their over-engaging persona ... integrity matters ... and you will find this company to be entirely lacking.

We did a large renovation and moved into the house in 2014…read more I really enjoyed working with his crew but I'm left feeling like a lot of corners were cut in the finish work. The met their move in expectation within 10% of the original forecast and were within a couple points of budget (although I micromanaged the budget with more granularity than they did). It was relatively smooth sailing for the first 90% of the project. By the end of the project, however, Doug and I had a very hard time seeing eye-to-eye. I was, in hindsight, likely pretty high maintenance. That being said, the small issues I was focused on have grown into larger issues. For example, the electrician was absolutely horrendous -- sloppy, inexperienced (I had to teach him how to splice Cat5 cable after Googling it myself), and just unprofessional. He used the cheapest outlets possible - many of which still don't work properly. Closet lights don't work, the electrical panel is completely mislabeled, I have no faith in Cat5 working aside from those I did and QA'ed. The painters were a point of frustration, too. They did a very rushed and messy job and the the exterior has more peeling paint and rot after 4 years than our last house did after 20+ years. Another example, we have a tile company coming this week to fix some tiles that (for the 3rd time) have fallen out and to repair grout that has already cracked and fallen out. I believe the house is generally of solid quality but the amount of work we have to put into the house has been disappointing, to say the least. In their defense, they offered to do any remaining warranty work (I had a Google Doc listing outstanding items after we had moved in) but Doug has made it pretty clear he doesn't want to work with us on any additional projects, so I'm hesitant to trust the level of craftsmanship to fix existing projects.

I consider Jeff a valued Trade partner of Starwood Custom Homes and great friend as well.

I had to reach out several times requesting the written estimate. Charles did not even bother to respond to the first request for the estimate. Almost two weeks later, Charles finally texted he wouldn't provide a written estimate. Spoke to Brian. He requested a $250 deposit for the estimate. I refused. Then Charles texted he was swamped and couldn't do the work anyway. Total waste of my time. Bait and switch. Flaky. Fired these guys before they even started work.

They removed my old roof, making sure nothing hit my plants around the house. the quality and attention that needed to be done was done correctly. I don't believe you can beat his price, he was extremely reasonable. The whole crew cleaned up all the debris and even took a magnetic rake to make sure there were no nails left on the ground. He cancelled on me more than one time after we had taken time off from work to meet with him, and his help was bafflingly rude when they told me after the last cancellation that they didn't want our business. The entire project team was great to work with, very responsive and highly organized. We really liked the project management app and 3D design software they used. Before bringing in the Core team my husband and I struggled with making decisions around the final design. However once we brought in Corey's team, they helped with determining the design elements and provided great guidance & suggestions that made the decision process much easier. The Core team was very flexible and happy to work with the company installing our AV system so all the design planning and scheduling was aligned. We highly recommend Core Remodeling and we look forward to doing additional home renovations with their team soon.
