    Chicken fried streaks

So was down in fairview to fix a dump truck on a Sunday nothing was open. Asked at the gas station they said go try Home Plate diner. Me and my brother got chicken fried steak and it was pretty good! I got the chopped potatoes he got hash browns. It was actually really busy on a Sunday morning which was nice to see. The wait was about 30 minutes for the food but the waitress told us that right at the start so we were fine with it. Great service and Angie was a great server she was hustling!

We were starving. Sundays you don't find many places open in Fairview and Mount Pleasant. Tada! We saw this diner. Food was good and the service was great. I was a little intimidated to go in there, but it was all in my head. The people at this diner were great and the service was friendly. I love seeing everyone with their cowboy hats, a bunch of side by side park in front of the restaurant... it is an experience that you don't want to miss. Be prepared to wait for a while. They make everything in the spot. Fresh food takes a while.

Great service! Good food. Nice menu. Old style cafe dining. We very much enjoyed our meal. Worth every penny.

I travel allot and love trying and supporting small businesses.  THIS IS A DIAMOND GEM!!! a MUST when passing thru Fairview! absolute favorite breakfast ever (besides my own)... thick sliced, perfectly cooked bacon, perfectly cooked over easy eggs, the potatoes were spot on! and even the English muffin with melted butter on it was the best one I've ever had. service was friendly and the views of the mountains are spectacular.  please stop by and enjoy! I look forward to my next business appointment out there so I can try another menu item.

Holy cow this place is incredible. Just the bacon alone was better than any diner we've been to. Pancakes were delicious they offered boysenberry syrup and maple syrup. We loved the food! Best diner in the area by far

    Lunch after fishing

We arrived for lunch. It had a few people but not too busy. First off our waiter was awful, he seemed nice but as for service, he needed major training. He never checked with us once we received the food to make sure everything was okay and tasted fine. Once he passed by we asked for a coffee refill which we never got. After our meal he was nowhere to be found to get our bill. We ended up going up to the register to try and pay and then were overcharged on everything. After a long day fishing it was not worth trying to get a manager and complaining. The food itself wasn't like a Hometown Diner food it was more like at cheap fast food. The quote-unquote quarter pound burger was a Frozen thin Patty. The ham and cheese sandwich had fake cheese that was not even melted. We will definitely not be stopping here again.

My family and I check out the Spring City Heritage Day celebration every year in conjunction with…read moreEphraim's Scandinavian Festival. We typically stay somewhere near Spring City, so we get breakfast at Das Cafe. We arrived at 9 AM and while they had several customers, it wasn't as busy as we were afraid of. This was actually my third visit, and it continues to deliver. Unfortunately, they weren't seating outside this time (the outdoor dining area is a gem when they do), but the food was delicious. I ordered a Mormon Mocha, which was really good and my kids loved it too. It actually tasted more like cocoa than a coffee substitute. The Big Max was solid, but I definitely preferred my wife's German Sausage Breakfast, especially with that buttery crispy rye bread. She swapped me her brats for my ham, which worked out great. If you prefer ham over German sausage, it's worth asking if they'll accommodate that for the sandwich. One heads-up for parents: we asked if the animal pancakes were comparable in taste and portion to a short stack, since the cost would have been about the same for two kids. We were told they were, but my mom ordered the short stack and you definitely get more pancake, and we all agreed the texture was noticeably better. Stick with the short stack. And if you haven't tried the signature carrot cake, it's decadent enough for the whole table to enjoy a few bites. Prost!
