ZERO STARS IS MORE ACCURATE I am writing this to warn…read moreothers about the incredibly poor experience I had with Agave Mortgage Brokers. Their performance throughout the entire process was utterly pathetic. They seemingly cannot read basic financial documents--specifically Shareworks statements. They saw and requested the exact same documents on over 10 separate occasions. Then, finally, on the 11th time, they actually decided to look at them and ask questions about the accounts and statements. This absolute incompetence caused a massive, last-minute pivot and wasted 2 entire months of my time just to get to that point. Combined with horrible communication along the way, it was an incredibly stressful and unprofessional experience. Save yourself the headache and take your business to a broker that actually values your time, communicates transparently, and knows how to review basic paperwork. Avoid them at all costs.

Contacting him and his team was the best thing I have done and I will be a customer for life. My boyfriend and I were looking at purchasing a home together. He owns a home already and I rent. My lease renewal was coming up and my landlord is a....I won't use cuss words. Anyway, I opted to buy something as renting as really changed over the past few years and it's really enjoyable anymore. We contacted a broker with Nexa Mortgage who kept dropping the ball so I went on Yelp to find a different one and that's when I found Scott and AZ Lending Experts. I contacted them and was SUPER impressed right from the initial conversation. Scott then contacted my realtor (who is also my sister) and she was also super impressed and will refer him to her clients. Anyway, my boyfriend and I were facing an issue with a contingency as when you own a home, it's sometimes difficult to buy a home as the offer would need to be contingent upon the sale of your existing home. My boyfriend was nervous and didn't want to sell his place without having a place lined up, which is understandable...and given the low inventory right now, it's difficult to wait for something to be listed and go under contract when you finally find a priority. Scott found a way around that for us. He also shared his recommendations, which we went with. His whole team is amazing...Emily is SUPER nice. I contacted her for the appraisal and she sent it right over to me and was just super polite and friendly. This is my first time buying a home and I have heard from others that it's a pain and a not-so-fun process but I honestly have to say it hasn't really been that bad for us and I have AZ Lending Experts to thank for that.

From the initial first call and all the way through the time of close, Joe was always available via email, phone, and text. Joe and his team were VERY instrumental in the home buying process and I even got compliments from my realtor on how responsive and on the ball he and his team were. Worst mortgage broker ever! Do NOT deal with these falsely…read moremarketed & shady people. I was directed to them as I work in public education for the state of CA. They are the "Teacher Next Door" program lender. DO NOT be fooled - they are amazingly archaic, oblivious to the current real estate market, and offer very high interest rates! We applied for a pre-approval (not full underwriting) with a hard pull on our credit, submitted documents, proof of income and pay stubs. A week later, they reply and said they are sending out written letter of verification of employment. I said WHAT ? We are not at that stage of underwriting so I was confused. So we then get a call from their network "realtor" asking if we wanted to look for a home. I asked realtor "um where do you suggest we look for a home in Los Angeles County for under $400,000 ?". The realtor said nothing - I said, how about a vacant lot in the Mojave desert ? The realtor said she knows something about Southern California realty so tried to apologize. I could not believe the gall of this mortgage company to offer such a low amount to a state of California employee! Very disappointed with this company. Don't waste your time!
