AND - their cold beveage selection was indeed cold. This site was a welcome site for us after a long day in the car. We were hot, tired and thirsty and found welcome relief here. For one thing their prices are about $0.20 higher per gallon than the going rate. Second, the first pump I used only dripped out maybe a gallon every 10 minutes...so when I noticed after changing a kid's diaper that I only had 0.53 gallons I had to stop it and go to a different one (that was still pretty slow). Aggravating. I was thirsty but didn't want to give this company a dollar more so I didn't even go in the convenience store portion. Bathrooms are below average. Bottomline: get gas in Salina or Russell so you don't need to be here.

The staff is friendly and helpful (as I have always noticed at Love's truck stops) The Bad: The restrooms are not really big enough for a truck stop. Only 2 stalls in the men's room seems more like something you see at a small town gas station and not a truck stop. The Ugly Truth: This is another great facility with happy staff, lots of selections, and clean restrooms. Nice stop along the way down the long white line. He said NO Ma'am! You must purchase something. We bought a couple gallons of overpriced gas (.20cents more than previous station) & went on our way. They were rude& un-caring, perhaps it was my purple hair, or the fact that the rest area 4 miles from here is closed, & not many bathrooms between Salina & Hays, but considering that we were crying & upset, I felt they could have been more accommodating & understanding.

Consequently, it is easy to find yourself low on fuel occasionally. It seems to me that during those moments there was typically a Love's around the corner. This Love's is right outside the town of McPherson . It is not the largest Love's I have been to and it is geared more for big rigs than passenger cars, UT they do have pumps for both. They also have a Hardee's attached to it, so if you want grab a burger, there is that! I just grabbed some snacks and a drink inside the convenience store section. The store was clean and the employees were down home and freidly people. I would not hesitate to stop here on future trips to Kansas.
