My husband and I, had the unfortunate displeasure dealing with this company to have John & Kristen…read moreto install our pool liner at our home back in May 2024. After giving them a deposit, they tried to move our install date to over 3 weeks later. When we politely expressed our disapproval with the rescheduling, John called my husband at 9pm and went into a profanity laced tirade before hanging up on him, only to have his wife call back the next day and apologize and then confirm to the original agreed upon start date. John was a no call/no show/no apologies for the liner measurement day as well. After the liner was installed, we noticed huge impressions from the unrepaired vermiculite bottom they disturbed while installing the liner. We took pictures before the pool was full with water, and were told it was normal and it would go away once the pool was filled. Despite, not coming in person for a final inspection to address our concerns to judge for themselves. John wasn't present for the installation nor a final inspection. Upon return from vacation last week for the 1st time turned on the pool light at night and noticed the massive imperfections in the base that they never fixed and installed the liner over. After contacting them to let them know, we were told to that we were "harassing & bullying" them "and to no longer contact them". We then contacted them on their only other media their Facebook page where instead of addressing our concerns Kristen attempted to do a smear campaign against my husband by attacking him personally, referring to him as "mentally ill", and posting disinformation. Needless to say we are baffled over the unprofessionalism, and shady business practice of this company. As two consummate professionals serving the community for over 30yrs would strongly suggest hiring more stable people to service your pool.

We had trouble with our salt-water cell and they ordered the part and returned to install it without us calling to remind them it needed to be done. A few years ago I told the company we were using that I wasn't happy with the pressure from the jets and they just ignored me. Our Char-Nel guy spent 20 minutes figuring out how to get better pressure for us and recommended how to keep the flow strong. It's great now! I have used many local pool companies over the years and I feel like it is usually a run-around to get anything done, but that is not the case with Char-Nel.
