My Brother was sent to Hospital for a procedure. I'm not sure what report or paper work was sent with him. He was sent to Lee Health down the road from facility,He wondered out of Hospital was missing for 5 hours As his POA I was never notified that he was even sent by facility When he went missing they had to cover their tracks and called me just to tell me he had been transferred never mentioned he was missing and that they had been in touch with police for hours I received a call from ER Director notifying me of situation. He was found dehydrated blisters on his feet confused. After returning to Discovery commons in a locked memory care facility they required us to pay their home health agency 5400.00 a week for 1:1 care He never tried to leave Fiscovery commons it's a locked facility. I asked Jennifer the Director to supply me with policy and procedures and back it up with evidence to warrant such a need They couldn't It was never ordered from a physician. They were double dipping. We were paying 6900.00 a month Discovery Commons is unprofessional and cares about there bottom dollar. many other things wrong with Discovery Commons but the above story was the most outrageous and dangerous one. My Brother has since moved and it's night and Day here in Orlando We warned if your not able to be there daily. Things are going on you wouldn't like

Assisted Hands came to my home twice a week and with my speech therapist and physical therapist I regained my memory and strength back, not to mention I am now speaking without stuttering and I am speaking sentences again. My mother has ALS and we interviewed with the OWNER Robert before hiring them. He assured me several times over his team were well skilled with using an electric hoyer. None of them were. It started off bad but because I was going out of town I had to trust that it would get better when they found they're groove. Every single day my mom called me telling me they were late, they didn't show ect., at one point Robert had to go to my moms home to put her into bed (because his help was a joke) and he pulled her catheter out while he was trying to get her into bed. I was disturbed this entire time and sent numerous letters to Roberts administrator only to get a call back that they would do better. Again, I'm out of town and there was no one else to tend to my mother. Today, I got home and went directly to my parents home where I find my mother in bed. NO ONE HAD SHOWN UP IN TWO DAYS!!! The last time a nurse had been there she left my mother's room a disgusting mess with old gloves, my moms pull ups and wipes just tossed around her room not to mention dirty clothes. My dad is going blind and with early dementia so he was not totally aware of what was left laying around. My moms meds were not given to her and her bathroom was a wreck with wash rags just thrown in and around the sink. THEN to my horror I find out one of the aides got my mother into the hoyer raised her in the air, she did not put sling on properly and mom started to fall out! The aide panicked and left my mom hanging in the air while slipping out and not secured at all until another aide could come to the rescue some 30 minutes later! My mom was mortified and I am livid!! I will not stop until all elderly agencies are aware of this horrendous company and that no one hires this joke of a company! Every administrator and the owner is complicit and should be ashamed! I would not even give 1 star except I had to go post review.

The kicker was she took this job at a 20k pay cut because she thought her Mom might need home health in the future and wanted some say in who was her caregiver. She used her medical insurance 1x for a routine visit and was stuck with a $265 routine office visit bill because the medical insurance STINKS and wouldnt honor the routine visit. Amy hasnt had a job for a year and you guys totally hosed her. I'm going to stand up and pay the bill for her and do what you losers won't so her credit won't be wrecked. Wow, just wow.
