Regarding the customer service of the scheduling team for oncology I truly wish i could give this…read moreorganization negative a million stars. My experience coming here for my 2nd pregnancy has been pure hell and inconvenience. Today marked the last straw I am currently 35 1/2 weeks pregnant and for the 3rd time they scheduled an Ob appointment for me did not give me the location. Due to them scheduling with so many random providers as well it's hard to keep up who or where you will be seen. Today since I had appointment with a new provider again I have never seen, and last minute appointments they always send me to south holland I went there. So for my 10 am appointment I got there at 9:54am in south holland location. While reviewing my pre check in the advocate portal I noticed my appointment was for hazel crest. I then left and rushed to hazel crest location, I got there at 10:13am. I stood and waited in line 7 minutes to even be acknowledged, and when I was finally acknowledged the lady was very rude unprofessional, and unapologetic to say the least. She stated, "Who you here to see." I said, "I'm not sure, it's a new dr again". While I tried to ask why she cut me off and said, "Name" I told her Meshawnn Stovall. She then stated, "OH, you late, Dr not gonna see you, gotta reschedule. After 15 minutes they not seeing a late patient". At this point her tone and demeanor made me want to snatch her bob wig and lashes off, I was livid. I tried my best to remain calm, I wanted to explain why I was late and why did they have me choose a provider when I haven't seen my doctor I selected in over a month now, and I'm due 1/7/20. She continued with the unprofessional and irritated demeanor, so I just said never mind I will be requesting my medical records. She stated, "Well you see who ever available, and the same goes with delivery. My initial appointment I was lied to about this, and had they told me the truth I never would have come back. I manage a clinic in the city and I know I could have received wayyyyyyyy better services and care at my own clinic, but due to living in indiana I wanted to choose some where closer. Needless to say I called and spoke with the manager, I could tell by her tone and dismissive attitude on the phone, she didnt care either, and was just running a script on me. It was evident the supervisor for oncology scheduling just wanted to get me to shut up, drop the issue and get off her phone. The supervisor seemed sadly not as concerned as I would be at my clinic with the fact her staff fails to give all details when they schedule you, and sometimes wrong details. At 8 months pregnant I simply don't have time for people to waste my time and energy. If you do have to go here and this happens to you, make sure they do not bill your insurance if you have to cancel due to q scheduling error on their part, please be aware all appointments must be cancelled 24 hrs in advance, or your insurance is billed. Due to their unprofessionalism and negligence I was unable to be seen, so I told them do not bill my insurance, if they do I will most definitely file a fraud claim with my insurance. I am a revenue cycle Manager and know the protocol and steps to take. Needless to say, I had to leave this review so other pregnant women are warned. It is so hard to even get an appointment. When I called to schedule on 11/17/20 they tried to give me am appointment in January and I'm due the first week. This is something I observed in the last few months they do regularly. Sadly you have to get testy and speak up, then you may get an appointment the following week with a new random provider again. Unfortunately now at almost 36 weeks I have requested my medical records so I can find a hospital I can actually trust, rely upon, with good quality care, and profesionsl customer service to deliver my baby. I wish the clinic I manage in the city delivered babies, because it sucks to now have to look for a new Ob at 8 months pregnant but after how they treated me I just can't allow them to get money off my delivery.
