Do not hire this company to care for your loved ones. Jennifer is not compassionate, caring or mentally stable. Please do your research.

She's very knowledgeable about Homecare services and treats her clients and staff fairly. This is a win win situation with Rhonda's Angells!!!

I wish I would have known what I am about to tell you prior to hiring R Angell's…read more I have a 93 year old Mother that requires home care. I utilized R Angell's for three years to take care of her. In the beginning there were minor issues. Over the years the issues became major. Following is a list of those issues: 1. The major issue was that quite often the caretaker did not show up. The agency was unaware of this due to very poor reporting procedures. If I was home I had to call and advise them there was nobody here. One time I was not here and the morning staff did not show. My Mother laid in bed until 2:00 p.m. when the afternoon person reported. 2. Unqualified staff. Some staff were able to do the job and a few were excellent. However, many lacked experience and were poorly trained. 3. High staff turn over due to poor management skills and lack of respect. Several staff that did a good job were fired for ridiculous issues. Many quit due to the owners inability to properly supervise. 4. Staff spent a great deal of time on their phones. Some were so busy with their phone they did not here my Mother trying to get their attention. 5. At least two staff that we had worked on a business of their own such as selling jewelry while being paid to take care of my Mother. 6. Lack of concern by the owner for the services the client was receiving. New staff were not checked up on. The owner very rarely came by to check on things. She would only stop in when she needed to pick up paper work etc. The last many months she asked that her check and forms be put in the mailbox and she would drive by to pick them up. 7. Total lack of respect for customers. Often the owner would deny issues that were reported or not respond to them. There were other issues, but I won't go into them. In the end Rhonda Angell left a letter at the house stating in two weeks she would no longer provide services for us. She stated she was unable to find staff that satisfied me. This was after one of her staff yelled at me and told me she did not make enough to do any housekeeping and I could do it myself. This worker was on her phone 80% of the time. She had it on speaker phone which was very disruptive and not what we were paying her for. The other final employee was in the bathroom with the door closed on her phone for 40 minutes. Yes, I was not satisfied. I had no objection to Rhonda Angell quieting since the following month I was no longer going to employ her. I stayed with her far longer than I should have due to bogus promises that "it would not happen again". I now have a wonderful caring staff who do an excellent job. I am happy my Mother is receiving the care she deserves. 8 mins ago

I have recited my story twice. First time they said they would check with the local Apria dealer. No call was received back. Finally, after I had received 3 debt collector calls in the last 10 days, I called the local billing office and they said the account was closed! I have asked for an email confirming that my account is closed and the name of the person in billing. Supposedly I can send this to debt collectors. No email received 2 hours later. This not satisfactory.

After providing my insurance and other information, I was told I needed to see my doctor for a new prescription. Fine. I did so, but when I called Apria a week later to check on the status of my order, I was told that they had not received the prescription. A call to my doctor revealed that the Rx was faxed to Apria the same day I saw him. At any rate, once Apria had all of the information, the polite but ineffective young lady on the phone told me that my supplies would be shipped right away. That was over two weeks ago. When I called today, she told me she would put me on hold while she checked on the status of the order. Instead, she transferred me to a menu, which finally led me to a foreign call center. It turns out the local Apria office had never placed my order at all, and I had to provide all of the same information again -- first, to the person who took the call, and then to the "order center." I am now promised a shipment in 7-10 days -- we'll see how that goes. Everyone I have spoken to, including the young man who took my complaint call at Apria's customer service number, has been polite. But the Champaign office, which seems to be nothing more than one young woman and a telephone, is utterly worthless. I chose Apria over the out-of-state company recommended by my previous provider because I wanted someone local who could provide the service, and also because I preferred that the money (whether my co-pay or my insurance) be spent locally. Turns out to have been a bad idea.
