I trained 1.50 since being hired, today is 7/3/2023. I was also told I would be working at a specific house. I learned by the schedule I was being put at random houses. I spoke with Beth regarding the different houses and her response was " I'm sorry I should of asked you first " I Told them it wasn't gonna work for me, I called today 7/3/2023 to verify my hours on my check and was gonna inform them they could mail me my check. I learned from Amy that I was not getting paid for orientation and was also not being paid for the 8 hours online training. I double checked in orientation with Anna that I was getting paid to do the 8 hours online training at home and she said " yes ". When I told Amy today that's what Anna told me in orientation her response of hostility was " SHE DIDNT SAY THAT " which Amy was not in orientation with me and Anna. When I went on 6/24/2023 to train in a clients home she was expressing this company can not keep staff, and that the lady who was there, needed a room or to move in because she was the only one who was consistent. That is not the kind of company I want to represent or to work for. The Managers Beth and Amy have very poor attitudes, almost as if your wasting their time, I don't recommend them taking care of your loved one, they are very short tempered and have very poor attitudes. I am in contact with the labor board, as well as the better business bureau. Nobody should have to do orientation or do any kind of training with out being paid!

Comfort Keepers has taken care of my father since 2020 or so until his death last month at the age…read moreof 92. We've been very happy with most of the staff who worked with Dad (we probably saw over 20 caregivers over the years.) Dad had dementia and required 24/7 in-home care: both my sister and I live out of the area. CK staff assisted with toileting and eating as well as preparing his meals. Some of the staff were good cooks, others not so much. These latter could heat and serve frozen meals my sister or others cooked, or order food in. They worked with him to keep his mind active, playing cards and working various dementia toys and arts and crafts with him. They took Dad to his many medical appointments, and supervised his taking his medications (which my sister or I would prepare in advance. Staff are not permitted to set up medications.) With our permission, they took him out to outside enrichment activities and occasional meals out. Due to his dementia, he was occasionally belligerent: the staff had dementia training and most of them were well able to work with him when he got this way. Todd, one of the co-owners, took the lead on ensuring that our wishes and Dad's needs were met, always going the extra mile for us. Before Dad's dementia set in, he made clear that he wanted to stay in his home of 60 years. 24/7 in-home care is not cheap, but we're glad we were able to arrange it for him with Comfort Keepers.

I was recently discharged for a mental breakdown and I have decided to document my experience…read more Firstly, I feel it's very important to note: 95% OF THE STAFF AND SUPPORT TEAM WERE PHENOMENAL. They performed exceptionally under stress and are wildly underpaid. Basically performing charity work at this point. My main grievance stems from the singular fact that this is a FOR PROFIT INSTITUTION!!!! This is something that is critical to consider, as it will greatly effect your care! While the floor level staff all genuinely care and wish to help make people better, the organizational structure above them only cares about keeping beds full. They take on court holds that really don't have business being in the facility, they cut corners on quality of life/recreational activities, they severely understaff wings, and do everything they can to achieve maximum profit margins. Whenever that happens, ESPECIALLY when you lack agency in making choices for your own care, your outcomes here will likely suffer. Again. I don't want to disparage the staff. Almost all the people I interacted with were phenomenal. If anything, this is more an audit on the mental health system as a whole than it is on just this one place. We need to fund mental health services on a state and federal level at a much higher rate, to prevent unscrupulous carpetbaggers like EVBHC from ravaging the community.

Court ordered to spend 14 days in this facility to then be release to a homeless shelter…read more How is that helpful? I spent 3 hours of my time to coordinate an after care -transitional living program for my loved one same day of being notified of Eagle Views discharge plan. Whoever is in "charge" of patients being discharged and their aftercare program from this facility should be fired. They did absolutely nothing to help stabilize my loved one's future once discharged from this facility. Patient was discharged and placed on a bus and returned back to the streets to a homeless shelter knowing the patient was homeless and struggling with dual diagnosis symptoms.
