History
Established in 2008.
Salvatore Santora and Nancy Skalamera have brought their collective experiences in senior care to Home Instead Senior Care. While working full-time as a certified electrician, Sal began to notice subtle changes in his elderly mother. " I moved my mother into my home so that I could provide her more assistance". As her needs increased, Sal began to worry about whether she was remembering to take her medication or even eat a meal while he was at work. " I know first-hand what it is like to have to go to work every day, but worry about whether your loved one is safe alone". Nancy Skalamera is a Registered Nurse who has devoted the last ten years to working with seniors in the retirement housing community as well as Assisted Living and memory-impaired communities. "The communities in which I worked were beautiful, with all the ammenities, but even so; most of the seniors living there would have preferred to be in their own homes if it had been possible".
