The elderly cashier kept having trouble with the register. I first thought that it was just a system issue, but the elderly cashier eventually blurted out that she had not been properly trained on the register and did not know how to use it. By that time, I had been in line for about 15 minutes. Instead of calling a supervisor for help, the elderly cashier kept fruitlessly pecking at the register trying to get it to work. My husband texted me to tell me that he was finished, so I put the coloring books on a display near the register and attempted to walk out. The elderly cashier saw me and threw a total tantrum about how I should put the coloring books back where I got them from. I told her that the situation was her fault, so an employee should put them back. I also told her that the last time that I stocked books at an Ollie's store was for a brief month of employment at an Ollie's store in the northeast over 20 years ago when I was trying to pay the bills before I got a much higher paying job at a bank call center, and I sure as heck was not going to do my old job for free. She still balked at me, but I then told her that I now have a master's degree and that the only way that I would put the books back was if the store paid me my current hourly wage of $30 an hour. I was so mad at her that I almost flipped her the bird as I walked out. Ollie's was bad 20 years ago, and it has gotten even worse as the company has expanded.

But then was 60% off at $27. More affordable but really still a bit pricey. I would probably shop there again but not regularly. The bathrooms were terrible. Some weird stuff all over the doors, the paper towel dispensers were broken. The toilet paper dispenser was broken and the dust on the vent had to be an inch thick. Lowe's delivery is third party outsourcing and will be your nightmare…read more Just do a quick internet search, read reviews and you'll find a systemic dysfunctional system that leaves you in a financial mess. Placed a delivery order, paid for it, scheduled a date and time for delivery 10 days out. The day before delivery, Lowe's gave me a time range for delivery as scheduled. I had to cancel commitments to receive delivery, since Lowe's requires I be there when they arrive. On the day of delivery, Lowe's canceled the delivery and rescheduled for a week later at the very last minute. On the second delivery date, once again canceled without communication and rescheduled another week later. This is par for the course in today's market place. I was not even involved in the conversation. Of course, they boast about their wonderful AI chat customer care nonsense, where you can waste your time clicking your way through a computer that solves nothing. I Canceled this order and purchasing from elsewhere. I've spend thousands at this store, No more. Go elsewhere folks, this mediocre company doesn't care nor do they earn your business any longer. I'm done with them and will share my story with everyone within my business and sphere of influence. BTW, if you receive a last minute cancellation and rescheduling by an outsourced delivery entity known as "Hollar Creek", just cancel your order immediately, you'll never receive your order. I paid high dollars for this fencing because it has to be special ordered because they don't keep it in stock.To begin with, the first delivery was the wrong fencing; it belonged to a family in Georgetown, Kentucky. My fencing was delivered to Georgetown, Kentucky. After contacting a lady named Molly, which was a third party contact person, she informed me that she would get it corrected in two days. It took almost two weeks and when we did receive the order, it all wasn't there. We ordered a Winchester Grey color and it looks brown? We then contacted a lady named Jennifer, whom was the sales person that visited our house and gave us the quote to send us a sample of Winchester Grey and she was going to drive to Louisville and bring us the sample within the next two days, and that was two months ago and we still haven't received it. Oops I did it again!…read more I love antique clocks (and antique/ vintage items in general) even though I dont have anywhere to put them all out in my house, but yesterday, I picked up this beautiful antique mahogany clock. I believe that it may be a Junghans German shelf clock. (Possibly a "Biedermeier style"?) clock with a dark reddish mahogany case and a beveled glass door. It has a wonderful deep toned strike on the hour and half hour. I found this gem at Second & Main and it's sister store Apparitions Vintage Village which is owned by an old high school friend Robin Sowers. This store has a little bit of everything from classis records, vintage items, and locally crafted items as well! Be sure and check them out!

I especially enjoyed talking to the shop owner and am a fan of this quaint store with many interesting items to see.
