I went in one day looking for a card when i happened to be passing. It is down next to a sunbed shop, a housing office and a pub so i imagine it doesn't get too much passing trade. It is so cut inside; bright, white and airy and smelling of all the gorgeous goodies on the shelves. I spotted loads of things i liked. Cute little teapots, Arran Aromatic style toiletries, wicker baskets, glittery gift tags and a gorgeous wee range of baby things. There are a few really unusual wedding gift ideas and other gifts for all occasions including birthdays, christenings and engagements. I bought a friend's baby a little ceramic letter 'J' for his bedroom door, adorned with a cute mouse in a Green jumper and she loved it. It was a really unusual thing to find! I also ordered a handmade ceramic glittery name plaque for a little girls first birthday, which i had personalised and ready for me to collect in two weeks. They even have a Yankee Candle stand, which i adore! The staff are lovely, inviting and very helpful and they always seem to have time to chat. This is a mother-daughter business and their passion for the place really shines through. Lovely little shop perfect for all occasions, and Motherwell's saving grace! Gorgeous gifts

I however am asking you for a little guidance, this may not be the suitable forum but im struggling to find another avenue. Here goes To Whom it may concern, I am and Early Years Practitioner who works at Logan's Primary School /Nursery Class, Motherwell. The Nursery Class only opened August 2016. I have taken on responsibility of developing our large outdoor area. We received no equipment for outdoors other than a few tricycles. I have begun to make a Mud Kitchen (photograph attached). I am asking if there is any support you could provide. Our children would love a bird bath, which our funds won't allow. Clarification of my status can easily be provided in letter form if required. One of these shops, like a good few other shops in Motherwell, that plays upon the fact that people…read morecan't just hand over a few hundred quid in the one go for a telly or a laptop, and so offers a 'buy now pay later' style of shopping. BrightHouse draws you in because of it's clean and, well, bright exterior, displaying the range of Tv's and goodies in the huge glass windows which are covered in stickers and posters telling you that you can get all this for a low payment each month. What it doesn't stress is that the Interest and APR is phenomenal. An example: A 42 inch Philips Flat Screen TV would cost you a pricey £1196 if you bought it and paid for it there and then, but if, as you are encouraged to do instore, you pay it up for 156 weeks, it would cost you £1723 with the added 29.9% APR added. That's an extra £527! The staff in here must be on comission or something, because as soon as we walked in they pretty much jumped on us, trying to tempt us with talk of 'low repayments' which would be music to the ears of that mum with 4 kids who just can't afford the flash telly at that point in time. Just another dangerous scheme which gets folk into unmanageable debt, fine if you are buying something there and then, but I get the feeling that's not the aim of the shop at all.

Most suites are leather in line with recent demand, though there are some material suites which are tastefully designed. There are various bits and pieces of furniture which are set out also in display such as dining furniture, living room furniture etc but at the back of the store is a section where there are various great quality beds. Staff here are attentive and friendly, they will also do their best to provide as much information on whatever products the customer is interested in. At no point did I feel as though I was being pushed into buying something for the sake of a sale.

Sorry Bo-Concept - but I really was not impressed…read more Yes, you have a lot of attractive furniture. Yes, some of your smaller homeware pieces aren't too overpriced (especially in the sale). But that's where my positives stop. First up, for a so-called upmarket furniture store, I thought this place was actually really grubby. A bit of floor mopping wouldn't have gone amiss, and you'd have been wise to have removed the used coffee cups from your £400 dining tables. Secondly, your staff were not welcoming. We were given some really dirty looks by a certain member of your staff, and that was even before I'd (quite loudly) complained about the aforementioned coffee cups. And thirdly - a piece of your pretentious £350 "artwork" (you know the type, where someone has typed out a lot of cliched so-called life advice on a canvas in different fonts) had a pretty serious spelling mistake in it. And don't try telling me that was intentional. Next time I want to spend a large chunk of my hard earned cash on some furniture - I won't be doing it here.

Went in for the first time today because after reading those last wonderful reviews, I was overcome with morbid curiosity! Poe-faced Concept doesn't fail to disappoint on the arrogance front - although I wasn't given the cold, hard stare I expected from staff, I was largely ignored by them, which suited me fine since I could act like a fly on the wall and be left in peace. I obviously look poor - that's fine guys, it's entirely true! But you can't condemn a girl for dreaming! Since I've been subtly branded a poor working class girl, my cankered fingers had to surrepticiously reach for the price tag...I had to stop my jaw from dropping when I saw it was 150 quid for an EX DISPLAY lamp. Yes, that's right - Ex Display. Bugger off. Even if there ever comes a day when i have money to burn frivolously on items such as these, I doubt I would ever bother. Sure, they looked pretty but seriously, get real. If you were loaded, some trendy items in here may appeal - some of the stock is undeniably beautiful. Unfortunately, this place lacks the innovation and laid back vibe of Habitat, nor does it possess the charm and imaginative quirk of its West End rivals. It announces new arrivals in the window like we should roll out the red carpet for their overpriced (but, got to admit, nice) sofas - there's just something a bit off about this place. By all means go for a browse as they have some lovely stock but interior design competition has sprung up all over the place. So although Bo Concept may have been top dog a few years back, it's going to have to change its stand offish aura before it can attract a wider audience. And as Eleanor said, the richest people are quite often the least likely to flaunt it, so never judge a book by its deceptively dog-eared cover. You'll lose business if you do.
