Most items here are one offs and pretty unique, I often come in here when I'm heading next door for a coffee just to see what they have. He actually remembered my name on my second visit to the shop which made for a very personal experience. The shop sells funky fun items to include cards, mugs, cushions, pictures, clocks, bath bombs, items for the home, great quirky gifts etc. You can have your items gift wrapped and everythig in the shop is very reasonably priced. I bought a friend a card, mug and a bath bomb, all for under £10. I was very impressed, go in and have a look sure you will be impressed too.

I would not say it is the cheapest, but as my husband always says, buy cheap, buy twice. I would certainly use this mindset when buying furniture as you want it to last. This shop is not the cheapest, but is sells quality goods which are built to last. The selection is vast, all colours, shapes and sizes to suit almost any budget. They offer credit facilities for those who want to shop this way. There is ample parking and it is easy for wheelchair users to get into the store. It is a very busy place at the weekend, I would shop here during the week.

The shop is well laid out with suitable space for people with mobility problems to move around. Staff are friendly and helpful though not pushy. Prices were a bit on the expensive side, though they had a few deals on discontinued stock items. Personally the lighting didn't seem that bright though most of the furniture was dark. Throughout the store there were displays of other furniture and several beds were on the left hand side wall as you walked in the door.

I popped in for a quick browse and while they didn't have a gift that was suitable, they do have an awesome range of cards so I just grabbed one of those. They sell a lot of kids stuff (more than I remember from previous visits) but they also have jewellery, some cute mugs and some bath/soap kinds of things. The people working were super friendly and helped me find a suitable card. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is much nicer than your standard supermarket range. I think this is in the only gift shop in Clarkston now, and it's a nice break from the other charity/bookies which seem to line the Toll.

This vintage and second-hand furniture shop is located out past Glasgow Harbour on South Street - you could easily miss it, so look out for the sign which simply says "Furniture". Inside, the showroom is split over two rooms. To the left, mid-century to 70s retro (think Ercol, G-Plan, etc), while the right-hand room is crammed full of vintage and antique furniture. You'll find a wide selection of coffee tables, chairs, stools, dressers, hall stands, mirrors, wardrobes, and so on from several eras. I found the owner very helpful and friendly and recommend you check this place out if you're looking for something special, or just fancy a browse of funky furniture!

Slightly disappointed this year with their selection of gifts for Christmas. They did have some great stocking fillers last year including a light-up beer mug. Overall great shop.

Homeware is your typical higgaldy-piggaldy homewares shop, but it does the job well enough…read more For some bizarre reason a lot of DIY shops offer you more than just a drill by having bottles of toiletries and jewellery displayed. This shop too has stock of this nature, but a lot of the shampoo etc is in the lower band of quality and looks a bit dusty on top. Jewellery looks fairly cheap and uninspiring but it would do as a stocking filler. However, my shampoo snobbery aside this is a DIY shop, so it doesn't have to be expert in any other area. It's perfectly adequate in suppling the community with screws and hooks and whatnot, with a small selection of drills. It would come in handy if you were doing a spot of decorating and realised your drill was just that bit too big for the screw you were trying to fit. There's a supply of batteries but they're the Powercell ones, which aren't durable except for low powered appliances such as alarm clocks etc. Not somewhere you'd visit if you needed an extensive, top of the range tool kit, but handy and cheap if you're caught on the hop.
