We went to Macy's before to try them out but the sales staff was too pushy. After checking out a few at Preferred Mattress we picked out one we loved. It was placed in our bedroom later that day. Instead, I received a text less than 15 minutes before their arrival at 8:30 a.m. -- no consideration or proactive communication. They knew the day before that I was the second stop and could have easily notified me sooner. There was zero mention that someone had to be physically present at the property -- not in the store, not in the confirmation email, and not in any of the text messages. I even had a door code ready and was available by phone, but that wasn't acceptable to them either. The communication failures at every stage -- in-store, via text, and during delivery coordination -- were unacceptable. This will be the last time I purchase from Bob's. If you value clear communication and reliable delivery, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Stopped by to pick one up, only to find that the prices are actually $60 and $65. (More for a frame with wheels.) Person working there just said "I guess the boss hasn't updated the website in a while. Stuff just costs more now." Not a huge deal, but would suggest either keeping the pricing updated or remove it from the site if they won't honor it. I would also suggest going through the store and updating the signs. There are multiple in the store with spelling and grammar mistakes. Looks unprofessional. Might want to go ahead and remove some of them too, seems like every surface in the store has a homemade sign on it. Frame was in stock and associate loaded it in my car for me. Very nice. I was using the drain & fill kit but when I turned the water on in my bathroom sink to create the pressure to suction the water out, the pressure was too fast and was going to overflow so I turned the water pressure to medium. I couldn't tell if it was draining the bed, so I found STL online (I'm in FL), called, and got Doug. He let me know the bed would not drain at half pressure and I needed to buy a Drummond Transfer pump which I could get at Harbor Freights. I went into a panic because I needed to drain that bed as the movers were going to be at my place the next morning. STL was closing in a few minutes and I had never used the pump before. I was half in tears because where could I get help if I needed it? Doug assured me I could use the chat message link on their website even after they closed and went on to give me his personal cell number "just in case" and assured me we would get my waterbed drained that night. I hurried up, got to Harbor Freights, (Doug even recommended I check online at the HF close to me to make sure they had the pump in stock, which thank God they did!) got the pump and everything went as Doug said it would. He explained to me how to connect the pump and what to do. I did call him upon my return to let him know everything was working as it should! Talk about going the extra mile for customer service and I'm not even a customer of STL. This just tells you STL is a first-class place for ALL your waterbed needs.

Still, maybe it's worthwhile for an old-time experience of sitting sit in a department store eating a warm meal in front of those big windows with views of Midtown and other areas of the city. Room for improvement: I think the store should open a little earlier than 11 a.m. on Sundays.

The merchandising team at IKEA are so creative, they make use of every bit of space in their examples. IKEA is a huge store, but you can't get lost. All you gotta do is follow the arrows painted on the floor. They're there from start to finish. They'll lead you through; furniture, accessories, housewares, plants and more. When the arrows lead us through the frames and artwork, we got a giggle that they had copies of the Mona Lisa and Starry Night. My favorite area is the housewares, I can always find something that I need in my kitchen. However, on this visit I found a coat tree for my front foyer in the accent furniture area. It's going to be nice to have something to hand my coat on instead of throwing it on the chair. If you need assistance there's always an associate working nearby. As I shopped, I did notice the prices weren't as low as they use to be, but that is the case almost everywhere. However, it's still a good value.
