Not only did Mark and his crew, especially Kirk, do an incredible job painting my entire townhome, but time after time they went above and beyond to do a ton of extra things for me at no charge. When my tenant moved out two weeks ago, I decided to sell my townhome. I knew it needed a good paint job so that I could sell it quickly, so I called up four painters to get bids. When Mark came out to give me a quote, he was the only one who spent over an hour looking at the walls, ceilings, trim, etc. It was clear that he knew exactly what needed to be done to make my townhome look its best. Out of the four quotes, one was cheaper than Mark, and two charged more. However, the cheaper one had kindof a tantrum when he found out there would be furniture in the townhome when it had to be painted, and since now he had to "take time to cover up all the furniture," he upped his price by $200. I knew I didn't want to work with him. After meeting Mark and seeing how thorough and professional he was, I knew I could trust Mark 100% to do the best job possible. He also always returned my calls and texts right away. The other nice thing about Mark is that he did not charge me any kind of deposit. The other three painters all wanted a huge deposit up front (1/3 to 1/2 down.) The biggest challenge in my townhome was the living room ceiling. It had a huge crack in it and was sagging. I knew I could never sell my townhome with a defective ceiling, but no worries - Mark went to work and fixed it 100%. He made it look better than new - you would never know there had ever been a crack there. Mark also repaired the bathroom wall and caulked the two bathtubs for me. He made sure everything he and his crew did looked perfect. Even though Mark did so many extra things for me, he never once asked for a penny more than our original contract. One of the extra things that Gator Painters did for me was when Kirk hung up the shelving that had fallen down in the bedroom closet. This was not part of the contract, but he did this for me just to be nice. Not only were Mark and Kirk the most amazing painters ever, but they also are wonderful, kind people who really care about their customers. There are no words to say how grateful I am to them for all the hard work they did to fix my townhome, and to paint every inch of it so perfectly. I am so happy that I found Gator Painters. I recommend them 100% to anyone who wants to hire the best painters ever! Thank you, Mark and Kirk, for an amazing paint job and for all the extras you did for me. You are beyond awesome! P.S. Work was never done, and they refuse to return calls. In early August we made a few calls and left…read morevoicemails to Carter's about staining two doors for our house. No return call, but I actually got Carrie on a follow up call. She said she would inquire with the owner, and get back to me. Days later, no return call. Again, I got Carrie on the phone on a follow up call. They could do the work for us, but the first opening would be late October. We agreed that would be fine, and if anything else opened up to please let us know. We requested a quote as well.  Just a few weeks later, Carrie called my cell but didn't leave a message. I called, talked with Stephanie, who said that Carrie was working on having one of their workers take on our job at his location to get us in earlier. Wonderful! Carrie was out sick and would call me to make arrangements. A week later still no call. I got Carrie on a follow up call. She explained that Ely could do our project, earlier than the late October date, and that he would contact me. Another week...no call. I called yet again, and minutes later Ely called, but said he had to check on things and would call me back. Three days later, no reply from Ely. I called Carrie, and she said Ely had knee surgery, and he would call me. Another week goes by, and no answer from Ely or Carrie. Carrie texted me at 9:30pm to have the doors dropped off at Ely's the next morning. That's way to short of notice. We work, have kids, and needed to secure a trailer to deliver the doors. I was also going out of town. I thanked her, but asked if we could wait until I returned the following week. When I returned, and followed up, no one would return my calls. Carrie eventually texted me, again late at night, asking if I had heard from Ely. I expressed that the whole thing has been frustrating, and I feel like I am chasing after them to do work we want to pay them to do. She then said she no longer works for Carter's, to call Stephanie, and that when we first talked they couldn't do the work until late October. If that's the case then why spend several weeks to set up the work to be done a month earlier? For the last week I have been 1. Leaving VM's for Carter's and Stephanie to return my call to set up the work. No response, and they aren't even picking up the phone. 2. Trying to find out if Ely is even a legit licensed and insured worker for Carter's. 3. Still waiting on an estimate we have requested several times. 4. Have contacted the owner via Facebook begging for help to clear things up and ensure that the worker Carrie set up on behalf of Carter's is actually licensed and insured. This has been the most bizzar and unprofessional experience we have ever had with a contractor or home improvement service. We were completely ok with waiting until late October to have the work done. CARTER'S initiated moving the work up, and then fell off the face of the earth. All you have to do is return a call. Absolutely no way would we want to hand over doors we've spent thousands on to have work done on them by someone who may or may not be a professional. I have screen shots of the text messages, FB messages, and phone logs showing all of my calls just asking for assistance, with no return calls from the last 1-2 months. Shame on us for not pulling the plug earlier, but we really wanted to give Carter's a chance. We're moving on to someone who actually wants the business.
