Home Computer Repairs is a business that originated in the relative obscurity of Old Market, and has been through a few name changes before settling on the 'does what it says on the tin' branding that it currently carries. I used to use the shop quite regularly in Old Market, as they always made my trip worthwhile, but I'm gad that they've opened up a branch more conveniently on Gloucester Road.
The business practice here is old school despite the modern appearances. They apply creative solutions to problems that the high street chains are unable to cope with. They've fixed my laptop more times than I'd like to admit (user error being the main cause of the problems in the first instance). At one point I crippled my old Vaio so badly that it needed a new disk, and had Anthony (the owner) delving into boxes of second user boards in an effort to find a replacement, which inevitably he did.
I've also bought consumables form them, including a really robust memory stick. It's survived a constant battering over the last couple of years, and was at least £5.00 cheaper than its nearest rival. read more
