Orang Translations are a dishonest, scamming company that do not pay their translators and transcribers. I was contacted by them for a short-notice transcribing job about two months ago. I spent a whole day and good part of the night transcribing this urgent video and completed the job in time. I was contacted by the company's (alleged) employee "Sarah Bell" (quotation marks due to the person not having the English language skills that someone called Sarah Bell would have) several times during the transcription process and at one point she sent me over a part of the video that another person had transcribed so as to "help me". In effect, this meant that someone else was transcribing the same video I was at the same time. This is when I grew suspicious of what was going on, but decided to finish the job in good faith that I would be paid for my effort.
After the job was done, I was told that I would be paid on a Wednesday after that, but several weeks went by and nothing happened. After waiting for almost a month, I protested and said that I would leave bad reviews for the company if I wasn't paid for my work and then "Sarah" pretended to be shocked by my lack of faith in the company and by my "threat" to their legitimate business. I was never paid and never contacted by them again. I would like to urge clients as well as fellow translators not to use Orange translation or to work for them, because they lack any kind of business ethics and decorum and are nothing but a scam. read more
