I'm not a reviewer. I generally think if you provide me a service and I pay for that service then…read morewe're good. But sometimes there's something extra provided that needs some fanfare. So this is my story, in the fall of '23 I moved from North Carolina to Spokane. I purchased a twenty year old house that still had the original paint on the walls. And senior citizens had lived in it all that time, so it kinda looked like it was from the 80s. Being the HGTV fan that I am, I needed a handyman and a paint brush. So I went to the internet. I found Burgan Home Services, Brandon asked questions about what I needed and suggested Jake would be a good fit for my needs. Over the next six months, Jake renovated the second kitchen, moved walls and doors, ripped up 20 year old carpet and taught me how to install LVP. He was great. BTW, I only scheduled him a couple of days a week because I wanted to do some of the work myself. He could have gotten it done faster without me as his helper. I had saved the renovation of the 3 bathrooms for the last project. Brandon came over and wrote up an estimate and I had sticker shock. So I went back to the internet and found another contractor for a quote, and second guy was significantly lower (and more in line with east coast prices). So yeah, I signed a contract with the second contractor. Significantly less, remember. What a significantly huge mistake, second guy talked a good game but I think he was watching YouTube videos in my bathroom. Trying to figure out how to fix my bathroom. Plus asking for money without making any progress. Then he quit coming at all. Fast forward to now and we get to the something special. I called Burgan Home Services and talked with Stacy (she's the scheduler). I just wanted some guidance on what to do. Brandon came to my house the same day. He expressed his sympathy for my situation and pledged to help me navigate through whatever recourse I have with the YouTube watching contractor. Burgan Home Services will be finishing the bathrooms. I highly recommend them, their work and their customer service. They have my loyalty and will always be my go to contractor/handyman.

If I could give a zero star, I would. We entered into a Remodeling Agreement on June 8, 2026, which…read morewas signed at our property. We never visited the company's store location, as the Jamie, the owner, agreed to travel to our property to discuss the project and execute the agreement. After deciding to cancel the project, we submitted our cancellation request 21 days later, and the company acknowledged receipt of our cancellation dated June 25, 2026. Since that time, we have repeatedly requested updates regarding our refund and the status of our cancellation. Despite our continued efforts to communicate, we have not received a clear timeline or meaningful updates. The ongoing delays and lack of communication have been extremely frustrating and have caused unnecessary emotional stress. Jaime still has still to date not provided any documentation showing that a door or any other materials were purchased on our behalf, despite our many requests. We are deeply disappointed by the company's lack of communication, failure to complete any work, and poor customer service. I would steer clear from anyone wanting to do business with Jaime and his, so called business. Lastly, he will dispute that there is a policy in his agreement and indeed there is none. Here is how the agreement outlines: No provision stating that refunds take 60-90 days. In particular: Page 1 covers: Scope of Work Time/Substantial Completion Payments Change Orders Delays Punch List Warranty There is no refund timeline in these sections. Page 2 covers: Warranty details Dispute resolution (mediation/arbitration) Risk of Loss Assignment Page 3 is the Washington State contractor disclosure statement. It discusses: Contractor registration Bond information Liens Lien releases It also does not mention any refund policy or refund processing timeframe. One thing to check

Marty and his crew did an incredible job on my new roof. My house is 70 years old and had 3 layers…read moreof shingles and no sheathing. It also had some structural issues that needed to be dealt with. I got multiple bids. 2 were much higher. Both said I needed fascia repairs which would require removing the gutters. The new gutters would add about $3000+ to each bid. My existing gutters are sound. They both implied the fascia was rotted and would not pass inspection. Marty from Raptor Roofing took a look and showed me it was not rotted and just needed a coat of paint. Well guess what, it passed inspection even without a coat of paint. I will paint it later. The owner of another roofing company said he could not repair the structural issues and said I would have to find someone to deal with it before he could begin. I thought to myself, isn't this why am hiring a roofer? Anyway, Marty and his crew did a stellar job. The roof looks great and was done right including repairing the roof structure from inside the attic, installing ridge vents, new pipe collars, a new bathroom vent, chimney flashing and excellent cleanup. And they did it in 3 days! I would highly recommend Marty and Raptor Roofing.

I hired Mr. Chestnut as a consultant and expert witness for a CSLB arbitration case against my…read moreprevious contractor. I found Mr. Chestnut by following a chain of recommendations from other contractors for someone "that really knows craftsman homes and their construction." I was very impressed with Mr. Chestnut as he investigated and prepared a report detailing everything that had gone wrong with my previous project. He works very efficiently, underbilled his time, and was very fair with his appearance fee. Most importantly, though, based on his background, vast experience, and the impartial report he prepared, Mr. Chestnut was accepted by the Arbitrator (who himself is an industry expert) as an impartial expert in my case. Mr. Chestnut is very sharp and well spoken, and with his testimony we were able to prove our case. Mr. Chestnut was particularly adept at not being bullied, or allowed to be mislead, by the opposing attorney (who pretty much lied about everything, and made outrageous claims). Thanks, in part, to Mr. Chestnut, we received a fair judgement for our repairs. I highly recommend him!
