Silvia has been caring for our cats for six years while we traveled. In 2020, one of my cats was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. The ER doc said prepare for the cat to die "within days or weeks." Well, thanks to Silvia's care, it is two months later and he's still going and comfy. His kidney readings are less than half of what they were in the ER, thanks to daily fluid therapy. Although I teched at a vet clinic 35 years ago, I would not have been able to administer the daily subcutaneous fluids myself. Silvia's years of vet tech experience help her administer fluids, shots and meds in a way where the cat doesn't even know it is happening. She's great with trimming kitty nails too. Any time I have needed her, even last minute, she has accommodated me. What also makes Silvia stand out is that she has a nursing background, as well as working in a vet's office for years. When my cat was sick she had a lot of great information and advice for me and put me in touch with a wonderful vet. She always has great advice for my dog too, which is very reassuring to the anxiety you feel when a member of your family is having trouble. We were extremely lucky to find Silvia after our pet sitter moved away. Our cat took to her immediately. Silvia is very gentle, kind and loving with our old girl. Silvia also takes care of our 2 lovebirds and was able to recognize when something was wrong with one of them. We were in Hawaii and with back and forth texts, got our lovebird the care she desperately needed. Silvia handled it with grace under pressure. I just moved to Novato and needed to find someone to care for my 16 year old kitty for 5 days. Silvia visited my home in advance to review my needs and meet Jessie. Silvia is one of those people who truly "gets" cats. Our cat is extremely shy around strangers, and also has been known to get very stressed when we leave on trips, to the extent that she becomes ill. With Silvia, even for a 2 week long trip, we returned to a happy, healthy cat. Silvia really cares for animals and has a special connection with cats especially. She is also very reliable. Like most people, I'm crazy about my pets. Silvia is terrific. I moved to the area not long ago while my wife finishes her job down south and have been slowly moving our four cats up one by one and had to go back and forth a lot. Each time she's had to deal with another cat, more requirements etc and its never phased her in the slightest. Everything is handled well and the cats are happy. You can tell she is a true animal lover and, just as importantly, is a conscientious and responsible pet sitter. Silvia walked my dog twice a day for (3) weeks late this year (I was on a vacation out of the country) and she did a great job. When I got back my dog was healthy, happy and well fed.
