Want to indulge on the sweetness of Baked by Melissa without traveling to the city? This is what…read morethe airport location is for. Whether one is looking to satisfy a sweet craving or get an edible gift for someone while in transit, this location at JFK's Terminal 5 is a good option for all of the above, It honestly feels like any location of BBM, all with the minimalist decor and constant bustle of in/out traffic of folks ordering these minis for takeout. While I have been told the cupcakes are baked offsite and brought here, I'm under the impression / understanding that they're replenished several times daily. This makes sense, seeing as I've never come here and not found anything I've wanted. The cupcakes are just like what one would find in Manhattan, albeit slightly more expensive. The red velvet, dye are still the ones to get but the rest of their sweets are definitely worth checking out. They're available as singles, 6 packs, and ever-indulgent 25 pack. I tend to get the latter as gifts for friends, especially non-New Yorkers, who always come away impressed.

They're tiny, even smaller than the mini muffin bites you might get from Little Debbie, but I actually enjoyed them. I didn't pay for them myself, so I can't really comment on the value, but I was told the person who brought them picked them up all the way in Queens. I'm assuming they came from one of the company's Queens locations. What I liked most is that they're bite-sized. They make for a nice little treat, especially for someone who's trying to watch their portions. Eating one or two doesn't feel like a major indulgence, and you still get the best part of a cupcake in a few bites. My only complaint is that they were a little too sugary for my taste. Still, I thought they were pretty good overall. If you're looking for a small dessert that satisfies a sweet tooth without committing to a full-sized cupcake, these are worth trying.

A friend who lives in the neighborhood told me about this spot and I stopped in to check it out…read more There's really not a lot of convincing needed for me to check out any bakery though, lol. When I arrived, there was a group of customers sitting and eating a variety of cupcakes. OMG, it smelled soo good as soon as you walk in. I arrived around 12noon on a weekday and there was a nice selection of sweet treats. Everything looked and smelled amazing. I really was torn on what to choose. I finally decided on the Biscoff and lemon cupcake. I also bought the plain banana pudding for my mom. My mom said it was okay and I guess I should've bought her the Biscoff banana pudding. OK, Im guilty and also bought a slice of brownie. LOL I enjoyed everything! Those cupcakes were delicious and I lovvvvved the buttercream frosting. That brownie was nice and moist and chocolatey just how I like it. I will definitely be returning to check out some of the other cupcake flavors and the scones I didnt get a chance to try. My second visit, don't judge lol I tried the salted caramel and butter pecan cupcake. I wasn't a fan of the butter pecan but that salted caramel was good. The best of the best was that biscoff banana pudding. omg, it's a must! I had a chance to meet the young, African American owner who was a sweetheart. Please go support this spot, you wont be dissapointed.

It's more of a grab and go place rather than a sit down. My favorite thing is the pound cake and of course I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it. Her pound cake is better than any I tasted and I went to school in the south. In fact, I asked her if she learned how to make it in the south and she laughed and said no. She's just gifted and talented! The honey biscuit is divine, just make sure you warm it up! The brownies are decadent and you can taste the real chocolate. I have yet to try the banana pudding, so that's next on my list. You can't go wrong with ANYTHING you get from here! Everything is homemade with love, care, and intention. I highly, highly recommend this place!
