Nicely colored stained glassed windows and well maintained. The entire event went well. There is parking in the back of the church which is easier than street parking.

I've never felt welcome and the congregation seems to be miserable and there because they "have to be". I remember moving to the area and wanting to register with the parish and the woman who answered the phone was seemingly very annoyed with my call. This happened over 25 years ago- but leaves a lasting impression. She asked me my zip code to see if I was in the right designated area. She seemed irritated as though they "had" to let me be a part of the church. Again- a very poor impression. They do seem to be trying to make a more welcoming atmosphere, unfortunately for me it has come too late. I'm very angry with the entire church protecting abusing priests. It was not one instance which would be bad enough, but decades of widespread known abuse. Now that the money stream is being compromised the charade is that they care. I wish I could say I had some good memories but unfortunately that is not the case. I also don't like the design or the roundish modern type of architecture. It's definitely not for me.

St Mary's is a wonderful parish to which my family is blessed to belong. Fr Bellopede is a dynamic…read morepriest and an excellent homilist. He is welcoming and has a great sense of humor. The staff also includes Fr Kean and Deacon Nichols and you will always hear the gospel preached. It wasn't until we began attending this parish that we started to learn about the deepness of the Catholic faith and then converted after going through the RCIA program. My husband is a cradle Catholic and it wasn't until hearing Fr Bellopede's homilies that he began to really understand the faith. The building was designed in the shape of Mary's crown so it is deeply meaningful to its parishioners. There are lots of groups and activities during the week. The adjoining Chapel is open 24/7 for Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament so there is always a place to come and pray. Please come and visit for a Mass!

First Presbyterian of Ambler is a great community of people led by a couple of great pastors…read more My honest thoughts are that this community is thriving and is prayerfully seeking out how they can better serve the surrounding community. Pastors Ryan and Langdon are very friendly and humble guys who welcomed my wife and I from our very first Sunday. To give you a quick idea, we met them on our first Sunday there and the next Sunday without having communicated with them at all, they remembered our names and asked how we were doing. A few weeks after that, I was able to speak with them both more and was incredibly humbled by how kind and intentional they both are with building relationships. Their sermons are second to none. It's evident that they put a great deal of prayerful effort into preparation. It was honestly what kept us coming back when we first started visiting. They have regular series and take time to exegetically work through a passage. I could go on for a while about that, but just know that their sermons are personal, passionate, Scriptural, and intentional. There is a traditional service as well as a contemporary service. We attend the contemporary service which is always full of friendly people. The music is also contemporary and has multiple instruments. There is child care during the services, a youth ministry, small groups, and many other ministries. Communion is administered weekly which is something that was important to us. If you have any other questions about my experience here feel free to contact me! You can also call the church office, they are always willing to help.
