Why? 1. They are the hosts of the Ardmore Food Pantry, which helps each week over 70 families make ends meet. 2. They host free community potluck dinners simply to promote a sense of community. 3. They turned part of their lawn into a garden that grows fresh food that goes to pantry guests. 4. They have a beautiful hall and kitchen that they rent out at a shamefully affordable price. The only catches here are that you clean up after and empty your trash and that they only permit serving beer and wine along with non-alcoholic drinks. Fine by me. I have been a part of many community events here and to a person they are kind, responsive and clear. They're good people who truly work to serve the entire community.

Although Zoom has limited face to face interaction, we were overwhelmed by the warm welcome of staff and congregation and Joined the parish in May. We're confident that we made the right choice and look forward to participating in even more spiritual development and community justice opportunities. If you're looking for a new church home, please check out St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Ardmore. I don't think you will be disappointed.

This is my Mom's home church and we visit when we come home. Pastor Steve Weed married my oldest…read moresibling and also did their premarital counseling vis Skype in CA. He is a very humble and kind pastor who cares deeply for others and their salvation. His sermons speak God's truth in a loving manner and encourages others to live a more Christ like life. Their services are child friendly and there are different nursery classes for the kids during the two services. I love coming to visit when I am at my parents' house.

I thought this was a wonderful contribution towards those who may be in need around this time of year. Helping families in need is a wonder and I knew I just HAD to donate my loafers. I was so excited to make a poor persons day but of course. This church would not let me donate my shoes due to the fact that they were "too worn". I understand that there is a point of shoes being too worn, but these babies were not. A few spots of mud never hurt anyone, especially those in need. A person who is running out of shoes does not care about a speck of mud, but play Grace Chapel. It honestly made me question my religion, but I am an avid God worshipper, so it only messed up my day. I love god still and I actually drove into Philly to give my shoes away because I wasn't going to let them go to waste. Thanks a lot Grace Chapel for taking my gas.
