I've been a patient of Dr. Kramer's for years. I have brought my whole family to this eye care clinic. We have been seen by Dr. Brain Houser and Dr. Amy Cousineau as well as when Dr. Kramer was not available. They keep up with the most current technology for diagnosis of eye conditions. As a healthcare professional myself, I am very comfortable that my family is getting the best care at Holt Eye Care. They also know when to refer you to a specialist. We have purchased glasses here and at Lens Crafters. The quality of glasses from Holt Eye Care far exceeds the quality we received at Lens Crafters. The only disadvantage is that we needed to order and come back for the glasses, rather than getting them in an hour. read more

I have been a patient at Holt Eye Care for 10 years. Excellent staff and Dr's. My issue is with their online registration. It took me 1 hour to complete and I type 50 wpm. The amount of info and questions they asked were ridiculous. If they don't alter this registration practice, I will go elsewhere. read more

wouldn't recommend I had an insurance change and they called while I was in the middle room for my I that to them and they told me well if they don't have the information prior to the appointment in two they would be charging me $190 and I couldn't bring proof of insurance the day of I expressed them. I would try to get them the information and the scheduler was rude on top of her being rude they after knowing my current situation with my then sent me a text message later the day saying that I was being charged $190 for my visit and didn't even give me the time to get them updated insurance information so then I tried to call them. They didn't answer my phone but then texted me again afterwards saying that they would reach back out to me when they were available and never called and then I called to cancel the appointment once again. The person was completely rude and it just seemed that they did not care about anything other than getting paid. read more

Almost every experience with Holt Eye Care has been awesome! I love that they offer eye appointments for infants. I have taken both of my daughters here and the staff interactions with them have been amazing. read more

Well, I'd love to give a happy and thorough review of the curtesy and professionalism of this Optical Emporium. I'd love to wax lyrically about the value for money and how I've never known of such good eye care....I'd love to write all these things but I'm unable to do so. As a new customer, a fact I pointed out to the person who did answer one of the four times I called before being put on a perpetual call waiting loop of dubious music. So after 4 calls, one answered and no appointment made, I will be giving my business to a non-local Optician. I wish any other new customers the best of luck with your endeavours to even make an appointment let alone their subsequent treatment. read more

My eye exam was rushed. My picking out glasses was super rushed. I had problems with the reading glasses and the receptionist wouldn't let me schedule an appointment to have them checked. She told me "my eyes had to adjust to the lenses not the other way around". I paid nearly $500 for glasses I can't wear. The lenses for distance scratch super easily and they will only allow ONE repair even though they are under a ONE YEAR warranty. I will never go back nor will I recommend anyone go to Holt Eye Care read more

Super nice people...great service....just needed annual exam..they got me in and out in no time.

My husband and I have gone here for a few years and today was the last straw. In the past there have been a lot of delays and wrong orders, etc, but today I went in to update the prescription for my glasses. When making the appointment I told the woman I was fine on contacts and didn't need or want any more. I didn't realize during the exam that they were also doing a contact exam because it's all just questions about my eyes, so imagine my surprise when I'm charged $50 before I leave. I told the receptionist that I hadn't asked for or wanted that and was basically met with an "oh well." I paid because I needed to get to work rather than argue. As for the exam itself, my tech Jen was great - Jen, if you see this, go work somewhere else, they don't deserve you - but Dr. Houser was incredibly rude and dismissive. Outside of the 5-7 sales pitch questions he asked me about buying more contacts or frames today, he barely spoke, and when I complimented Jen, 1) he couldn't remember her name and 2) he complained that it was a hassle to figure out her new schedule since she's going back to school. Really great guy. On top of it all, he was so busy trying to sell me something that he missed an opportunity to sell me something - I had noted concerns about my night vision and driving at night with Jen and wanted to talk about different lenses that may help, and he never addressed the question. I called after leaving to express my disappointment and was mostly met with another oh well but transferred to the office manager's voicemail. It cut me off halfway through my explanation so, once again, great customer service. I could get more accurate and personal customer service at the Walmart vision center or another big box store. Time to move on. read more

I have been coming for years this last visit wasn't the service I have received in the past. I ordered new glasses & put new lenses in 2 pairs of frames I had one pair the new lenses are all scratched up. When picked up new glasses wasn't asked how the new prescription was at all. Going to return the one pair all scratched up. New glasses burn my eyes every time I wear them & concerned. Spent over $1200.00 and not happy. read more
