Went here with my parents to get my dad's horse some feed…read more The cashier was really sweet and she told us they had other animals in the back room. She mentioned a mini pig so I had to see it. Once we got back there she pointed out that there was a snake in one of the tanks. I asked if I could hold the snake but then I was not expecting the snake to be the size it was. I thought it was like a baby still. Lol so I was scared at first when she pulled it out and was like ehhhhh I don't think I wanna hold it. She goes to put it back in the cage and then I change my mind and wanted to hold it again, so shoutout to that lady for being patient with my crazy self. Anyways, I held this ball python and it actually wasn't bad at all. I've been playfully saying I wanted a pet snake for years but after holding this one I kind of actually really want one! This store was very clean and everyone who worked there was very nice! We received great service here and I'm sure my dad will make this his regular place for horse feed now. The guys who work there also load your car for you when you buy anything that they store in the warehouse so that was nice that we didn't have to carry the heavy bags of feed or anything.

I got there and was by the door a little early, they open at 11 and I was by the dot at 10;57. So first employee gets off his vehicle and greets me with "your going to be a while, we still have to open" so I said ok and let him know I just need a quick propane refill. I didn't mind waiting but what really pissed me off is that a guy comes out at 11:03 dragging his feet acting upset. So I just left him alone let him do his job and refill my propane tank. Once he was done he gave me my tank back then wrote the total in a paper so I can go pay, but in this entire process this guy never looks my way or acknowledges that I exist! So once he puts the ticket my way I grab it and tell him "thank you I appreciate it" and he just walks off!!! I will definitely just keep going to tractor supply in town, they have always been super friendly. Even on Sunday mornings lol!!

As far as prices on feed, pretty good. Their hay, is a bit more than other places, but usually…read morepretty good quality. Cow hay does have sand burs, do not want to get stuck, pay 2 bucks more get horse quality. As far as feed goes have I gotten an old bag with bugs, yes. Yet I can say that about anywhere, if your getting feed that has a high turnover should hardly ever happen. Usually has happened with me on chicken feeds, never sheep or creep feeds. Roger owns runs the place, super nice guy, and helpful. Most of the employees are. As far as the brunette in the other post, well she has not been there for years now. Was she a bit "cold" yes I could see the other post ragging on her, and only one employee out of a dozen no need for 1 star. Rating a company by 1 employee is like rating that women on how her kids behave, ridiculous. The hays come Roger's father, alfalfa is shipped in as anywhere in texas. Are some of their prices higher on plumbing and misc. yes, but so is Ace across the street. Want a quart of local honey 25 bucks last time I bought, cheaper and better than the box store. Have i ordered seed from them yes they have been helpful on getting prices to me and getting my specialty orders. If I could give them 4.5 stars I would, will i ever give 5 hahaha, not likely no one walking is that good.

Always great service here in Boyd. Generally order up cow cubes about every 2 weeks. Just ordered…read moreup a ton of fertilizer for the hay pasture and could not have timed it better. About 5 days later it was watered in by a good rain storm.

Okay, since I grew up in a small town, shopping a feed store wasn't a new experience, however let…read moreme just say this place is special. They have everything AND it is very reasonably priced! I love Russell Feed & Supply (Camp Bowie) in Fort Worth! "What brought me to Russell's" you ask? Well it all started with the purchase of a long-haired dachshund. I wanted to make sure my dog were getting the best food I could afford......and being on a budget, sadly I felt was failing my furry family member. That was until I stopped by Russell's Feed & Supply. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and as friendly as a pup. Every time I go in they share information about products, sales, and stories about their fur-babies They even have a reward plan for certain manufacturers, when you per chase so many you get one free. I've told everyone I know about this place, now I'm telling you guys.....take a trip over to RFS and see for yourself. You'll be glad you did Four Stars for Russell's Feed & Supplies Happy Petting Y'all

I have sold fresh chicken eggs to russell feed and supply in azle tx several times until one time…read morethey bought a few bad eggs,i cant just look at the eggs to tell if they are good or bad ,and because of their crappy policy they will not buy anymore eggs from me but they take the eggs from me when i have several dozens of eggs to get rid of as time is hard to barely afford to buy very little food and struggle to pay some of my bills, they wont even give me any discount on animal feed that i have to buy every week,i think alot of their products are cheap and overpriced ,iwill not shop or take anymore chicken eggs to any of russell feed and supply store again.

However, I need it to smoke meats so this type of wood wasnt exactly what I wanted for my brisket. The employees were friendly though and went above and beyond to help me out! The pallet of wood in my picture was priced over $200 and the older/brittle logs are priced for $1/log. Unfortunately I don't have a pick up truck for transport and then my husband told me these were not the logs he wanted anyway. Oh! I've bought pest spray from here (yellow top, attaches to your hose) and it works miracles. We ultimately ended up going with a pest service though since we were spending alot to keep them from overtaking our house (this year was worse than normal).

I purchased an alfalfa hay bale and discovered a dead bird inside it. Instead of expressing concern about the product's quality, they reprimanded me when I reported the issue, insisting that the alfalfa was fine and showing little care for the potential risk it posed to my horses. They requested that I bring the bale back but would not issue a refund, even after I provided photographs. Additionally, I overheard one of the women speaking poorly about me to my manager as she walked away. The customer service from those two women left much to be desired and they were nasty, and I believe Russell's should reevaluate their hiring choices. I've been coming here for months and can't believe was treated that way.On a positive note, I want to commend the two gentlemen I encountered. They were genuinely apologetic and demonstrated good customer service despite the unpleasant behavior of the women and got me my refund.

I was consulting with my vet on some livestock feed and bc they have a metal building I lost service. I asked if they could please provide me with the WiFi so I could decide which food was best and the lady responded that WiFi isn't for customers and that I could use the phone at the store to call him. My vet is a busy man and I didn't want to disturb him with a call and wanted to make it an easy text especially since it is Sunday. I ended up having to set my other items down several times to step outside to get service. Not good customer service. I intended to be in and out in 5 minutes. But ended up having to stay way longer to get the messages thru and get my stuff. Next time I'll stick to Fort Worth location. No one is trying to steal your internet guys. Literally I want to be in and out as badly as you want me to be on my way..... craziness. No wonder this is a 2 star location. Sounds like Everyone is having the same experience.

What really sucks is we paid waaaaay too much for this animal and when I just called to see if we could return it after a 72 hours of headache we were told they don't allow returns on their animals. We were never notified of this upon purchase. We would have been more cautious if so. The best we can do now is notify everyone else that looks up this establishment on yelp that their training program needs major improvement if hey're going to let high school kids run the show. I'm all about kids working but arm them with good training. Train them to for warn customers when a product is nonreturnable. Don't just depend on the customer to see a random note on a wall alongside a bunch of other papers and advertisements. We're going back to Red Chain and TSC for all of our bovine, goat and poultry needs. I suggest you do the same. 350 bucks in the trash. And that's if my wife hasn't contracted some disease from the bites.
