Susan and her staff are so talented, helpful, and friendly and they expertly piece together charcuterie boards and boxes that truly fit any occasion or dietary needs. For my work event boxes, they were able to alter a box slightly for a gluten-free attendee and clearly labeled that box, too. Much-appreciated. The shop itself is so cute, nestled across from the Cedar Bluff strip of shops/Kroger. It admittedly took me far too long to realize that the entrance is not directly under their building sign, but through a walkway to the left of Hound Dogs. There is an adorable little patio setup outside the small shop. Inside, there is a descriptive menu, some merch, a cooler holding both orders and ready-made items for spontaneous munchie needs. There is also a large selection of doggie treats. Their website is descriptive, easy to order from, and customer service fabulous if/when you have questions. The food itself is fresh and is so dang pleasing to the eye. My sample boxes looked like small works of art and my event attendees were raving about them! Can't wait to order from here again. What a wonderful experience.

The compliments we got for the food and beautiful set-up of the staff was across the board great... hot food, cold salads, plenty of food to go around! We paid for our venders to all jump in line at the Buffett, as the company does not feed venders for free. Unfortunately covid struck a couple of our guests, so the count did go down from 90 to 75, because the guests who got sick did not come. As a compromise, Chef's Catering packed up some food in to-go boxes we provided, so my husband and I were set on meals for two extra days. Between the chicken and beef tips, to the grits and Mac&Cheese, the Waldorf salad and Caesar salad, to the complimentary bread/butter... everything was outstandingly delicious! We did upgrade to paying extra for crystal plating and metal silverware... I highly recommend you do too! We skipped the tasting and found we did not regret it, as the Buffett choices of food we selected were perfection and our guests went back for seconds, and even thirds!!

We hired Chef's Catering for half the week, and Great Smoky Mountain catering for the other half of our week. Chef's Catering was awful.....the food was NOT good, the servers weren't friendly and the food was expensive! The difference between the 2 caterers was night and day! Our entire group commented on this by the end of the week. I would NOT recommend Chef's Catering to anyone and I know our corporation will not use them again in the future. We much prefer Great Smoky Mountain Catering - they were friendly, had better prices and the food was much better quality, presentation and flavor!

We also paid for extra pies and we were missing one. We reached out to Mia right after and she said she would refund us $80. This never happened. She first claimed to be in the hospital, then 2 months later she was supposedly still in the hospital and her daughter was answering us. Then she pretended to be her husband and said Mia died and he was working on getting all of her refunds sent out that week. Spoiler: she's not dead. She then came back from the dead and said that she had already refunded us (she hadn't). This has been going on for over a year and it's just shameful. Her last email was on April 24th, over 8 months ago, and she stated, "I am working on refunds. I'm sorry it's taking so long." No refund was sent and she has not responded to any emails or texts since.

The first day he did not show up but instead sent his inexperienced wife & daughter who gave us serving utensils that were laying on the back seat. The food was disgusting. The meat was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The pans of food were not full and was not enough to feed everyone. The wife & daughter left to get dessert and did not return that day or the next. So no food for the second day for a family of over 100 people. I would caution everyone to avoid this place at all costs if you value your health & hard earned money.

We requested a full vegan menu with 4 courses and passed appetizers during cocktail hour for 30 people. And wow did they deliver! I am having guests ask me for their recipes and some saying they would consider going vegan if all their meals tasted like this. Our main goal was to serve vegan food to meat eaters and have them not miss the meat. My husband and I could not be more pleased with the way the food turned out. It was a complete success. The service is unmatched. Judy took care of everything and helped with the details that I never would've thought of. I've never planned a wedding before, so it was SO helpful to have her ask more questions ahead of time in order to make sure everything went smoothly. I loved her communication, cheerfulness, and genuine love for what she does. Their serving staff was friendly, helpful, and had a sense of urgency when they were asked for anything. They were engaged in what they were doing and they seemed happy to be serving us. There isn't a thing I would change about the way Chef Michael's Catering handled our wedding reception.
