    the happy bar sign

Located on the Ground Floor of the California Hotel and Casino in Downtown, Las Vegas, this relatively new bar has all of the normal standard drinks and those colorful, sweet, slushy, fruity drinks that I prefer! My sisters and I happened to have some time between shopping and eating, so we sat down for a round. My baby sister likes to relax at the end of the day... I blame her... Service was okay - the workers were chatting amongst themselves, so I felt like we were bothering them. Maybe it was a slow time (it's open 24/7)? Anyway, I like to play video poker while sitting at the bar if there's no conversation going on and the Progressive amount is high. The thing that bothers me most is the name of the bar: Holoholo in Hawaiian language is not "happy". The poster for the bar says, "The Happy Bar". However, holoholo means "to go for a ride" or "to go out". "Happy", or "happiness" in Hawaiian is "hau'oli" (not to be confused with haole = foreigner). Mahalo (thank you) for reading!

Had a few drinks here while visiting the cal. Played some video poker, watched the football game, and drank some beer. Bartenders were great! They gave us free beer as long as we played poker so we played for quite awhile. The atmosphere was great and the beer was cold! We will be back!

Located inside the California Hotel on the ground floor. This is one of my favorite bars to go to when I plan on drinking a night in downtown. They have $3 beers and $4 shots. Great prices for alcohol downtown, especially if you are trying to pregame for a night out! The staff here is great. They are extremely friendly and give off a great vibe. Overall good time here at Holo Holo. Love the name too! If you get hungry after, head over to the restaurant with the oxtail special. It's so worth it.

Crown Royal Reserve... very smooth indeed.

Holo Holo bar is the best in the Cal. Dave is the best bartender there. He's a true New Yorker in humor and attitude...lol. That being said, he is friendly, cool, and funny as hell. I like to go and hang out and talk story with Dave while I watch the game or play some Keno. Here is a pic of my most recent stay.

Good Juju beer to try. Whipped creation.

The atmosphere inside is simply top notch, its themed head to toe and for me personally, I always love a place that's well themed. We went in without a reservation and they managed to squeeze us into a table, we were served by a very friendly waitress who had good recommendations and was overall very attentive. The drinks were all good, and thankfully they have non-alcoholic versions for many of their drinks. No complaints on any of them, they were exactly what we were looking for. I will say the prices are a little steep, but this isn't someplace you are likely to come to on a regular basis, so I can excuse it. (And if you do like the vibe and come often, you can always get non tiki drinks cheaper.) Overall very very fun, wish we had come a little later because their was a band that was setting up and got maybe three songs in before we left, but they sounded pretty good!

The decor is beautiful, intriguing, and like I have entered a bar version of The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland (but for adults). All around this place has so much to look at; it's amazing. Drinks are yummy and beautiful here. They even have a nice food menu where you can get some things like coconut shrimp to pair with your tropical drinks. They do have the famous Dole Whip here. They also have a happy hour during weekdays from 3-6 pm I think (don't quote me on this exactly LOL). It's often busy so if you want a table, I recommend making a reservation. Service is always nice and friendly. It's a beautiful place for a drink, to hangout with friends, or show someone while they are visiting Vegas. Best bar in town for decor!!!

The venue itself is beautifully designed, with a more intimate, sophisticated feel compared to larger Las Vegas clubs. It's a great option if you're looking for something stylish with a strong music and ambiance focus. The overall vibe is smooth and elevated -- great music, well-dressed crowd, and an atmosphere that feels exclusive without being overwhelming. One thing worth noting is the camera policy. The venue emphasizes a no-camera experience, which I understand is meant to maintain privacy and keep the focus on the moment. However, I did notice a few cameras out and about during the night, which made the policy feel a bit inconsistent. Not a major issue, but something that stood out. Overall, it's a great spot for a more refined night out in Las Vegas. I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely return.

The Pinky Room is a jazz/live band club located in the heart of the Bellagio - closer to the exit towards the Caesar's Palace walkway. We waited in line on a Saturday evening right when this opened. We were told that this was the second anniversary of the Pink Room, so it was reportedly abnormally busy with us having to wait about an hour and 10 minutes before getting in. There was no cover charge, but there is a bouncer checking over your outfit. We weren't told exactly what wasn't allowed but supposedly they will check (saw a lot of the bouncers looking at shoes in particular). Once you are in, you got a stamp in case you need to step out to grab food or go to the restroom which is not in the club. The bar is set to the far side of the club with the bar area and dance floor set for general attendees. Most of the area though is for reserved tables that require higher drink minimums. The bar at the beginning of the night was easy to get to but once the band came on, it was a tough battle getting a drink as a regular attendee since most of the patrons were really squished in that area trying to watch the band. The band itself that we saw was great with reportedly Bruno's brother on the drums. It was a fun time and the acoustics were pretty good. The mocktail I had also wasn't bad with drink prices being normal Vegas Strip pricing. Again, love the concept and love live bands. Just think this venue is super squished and doesn't make as much sense for a normal patron versus having a table.

We came on a Tuesday evening from 6-9pm. Not crowded though we didn't get the whole site exclusively. 2. It's actually hard to find inside Luxor, we didn't see any clear signs directing us there. The only pointer I found is that it's next to the food court. 3. The staff are super fun and nice. She helped us get drink orders (you can also place your order via the bar table), get food (mostly bar type of food, think fries, burgers, sliders, chicken wings, burritos), and even showed us how to play the games. 4. The games are not super novice games, a lot of them are self explanatory after you see the setup, it's moderately physical in some of them; for example, the jump house and duck game is definitely very physical, and the bullseye jump and stick also requires a lot of jumping. But there are other quiet games like matching shapes that require more of a team building. They also have slides that gave some of our teammates a good scream in the darkness. 5. They have a balloon room for photo and a photo booth, but the prompts are not that many: "adult player", "winner", "play dirty" are the ones we saw. 6. They don't have a locker for your stuff, so try to come in comfortable clothes and bring less. CJ offered to lock up my purse in the staff room as an alternative, but I'm not sure that offers to every walk in customer. 7. Yes, a waiver is required. I couldn't get it done online for some reason as the last page didn't refresh and I was stuck in the signature page. However, they somehow had me in their system when I showed up.
