The department rarely answers phone calls or responds to emails, and I'm still waiting on a call back regarding my very first Pell Grant check from two years ago. The lack of communication and support is unacceptable, especially for an office responsible for students' financial well-being.

Students are unhappy, professos talks shit about this school itself, staff never answers questions and are uneducated about polices. No one in the business department communicates with each other, the financial aid checks always arrive weeks-months late, the advisors screw you over, the provost is not proactive in any situation, the president of the school WILL NOT answer any urgent emails sent directly to him, the dining hall is extremely crappy food which they overcharge for with $20 a plate and slap Sam Choy's name on the front. If i had known what this school was like, I would have never put myself through the finanical and emotional distress. I have developed an autoimmune stress reaction from this school that has caused me frequent doctors trips just because of the oversights and financial hardships they have put on me. I have been told twice during my college experience that I would NOT graduate on time directly because of advisement oversights. I feel that my college experience was robbed completely and I am deeply ashamed to be an HPU alumni. This school not only ruined my mental and physical health, but they have managed to overcharge tuition from all the students while they are still 148 million in debt. Some school.....

Tasty appetizers and cute games by department heads and managers. Venue is large with expandable banquet area walls. They can set up a bar and picture taking station. There are many steps as the Chaminade is set up on a hill but there are ADA ramps if u need to reach the buildings.

Only a few professors seemed genuinely invested in their students' success, and sadly, one of them is retiring. The program admits a large number of students, seemingly just to ensure that many of them fail. I understand the need to weed out students, but it feels like they do it with ill intentions. This place is sooo expensive. It not even including the textbooks which are $300 or more, and parking passes cost $250 per semester, which is outrageous considering the limited parking space. We have to share the parking structure with St. Louis students, and much of the parking is inconveniently located at the top of a hill. It feels like our tuition is being spent on maintaining a comfortable lifestyle for the Brothers, which might make sense for a Catholic school, but what about the students? Over the summer, they spent money fixing the road entrance, which seemed unnecessary--it was fine before, and now it just has better-looking lines. Kokua Ike is a great study space, but it's often overcrowded and noisy; I hope it gets the upgrade it deserves! On the plus side, there are frequent free events on campus, which is nice, so I make sure to take advantage of them since I'm essentially paying for them. However, for a private school with such high tuition, the Wi-Fi is consistently slow, and the quality of the ID photos is poor--they come out grainy, and the camera setup forces you to look up instead of straight ahead. There's also a lack of food options. Overall, it seems like Chaminade is more focused on making money than truly caring for its students. I do appreciate the campus cats, the pretty views, and the few dedicated faculty members who remain.

There is ample parking for the event on the Kohou side of the street. During regular school hours - visitor parking is accessed from Dillingham boulevard. Halls and classrooms are clean and well-kept. Bathrooms are identified by Wahine (female) and Kane (male ) signs. I saw many security guards and felt safe to be on the campus. Unfortunately we are not under normal circumstances so the campus is closed to the public- EXCEPT: when the open market is open on Saturdays, from 7:30 to 11am. Not as big as before, and they are located in parking area closest to Diamond Head Theater (ewa-makai). Other than that- Kapu to the public. (Not opened) Because of the nature of the pandemic it could shut down again so read the papers on the latest changes to lockdown rules. So when regular accessibility returns to the public at large, come by and see what this beautiful campus has to offer. Nice views, decent food options during the week days and delicious culinary delights courtesy of Kapiolani's world class program in the evenings. Support local education!

After high school, my friend's daughter wanted to go to Cosmetology School and needed some customers to gain experience. If you need a simple manicure, pedicure, haircut, etc. - and have time... this is a great place to go! The prices are reasonable, and the students are sweet and open-minded! The teacher came around a few times to check on the progress, so no worries! Book your appointment, park on campus, and sign in with the receptionist who will give a parking pass for $3 - which will be added to the bill for services. It's cash only. Remember to tip the student! Note: I got a manicure - it was very relaxing! My former coworker got a haircut. My friend is getting a scalp treatment and facial tomorrow! I want to try that next!

Attended the Hawaii Liver Conference at the John Burns Medical School Auditorium. Im a PHD…read morestudent but I wanted to learn about liver diseases and treatment. The presenters had extensive education in liver diseases and treatment. There is ample street parking. The homeless are no longer living on the sidewalks by the medical school. Its a beautiful campus. Many restrooms on each floor. A Security guard protects the entrance. I felt very safe. The Auditorium was large and equipped with 2 large projection screens. The seats are a little small and I dont know how students can squeeze into them even if it is well padded with backpacks and a insulated drink.

Street metered parking. Free Parking at the Kakaako Waterfront Park. Note that this specific parking lor closes at 10pm, I believe and you may get ticketed and towed. Globally Respected Proper Security; don't even play around.

This place is best known as IMPAC and it's basically a college for International students to learn…read moreEnglish and a variety of other subjects. They team up with local colleges where the international students will go for programs such as UH Manoa's NICE program. Through my colleges: Leeward CC and UH Manoa, I have met many IMPAC students and I've had the time of my life hosting them as a sort of tour guide around the island. I miss my Korean friends SOOO much. If you have international friends or know anyone in Japan or Korea, I would highly suggest you recommend IMPAC to them as a way to get English experience and to have the program on their resume for when they are going into their career. The teachers here are great, the facilities are pretty standard but they are central to town and there's Ala Moana not even five minutes away. Thank you IMPAC for connecting local students with international students and helping us make friends for life.
