I have been getting my cars detailed at Holmes Auto Detailing for a number of years. I'm pretty fussy about my cars' appearances, and I have never been anything but impressed by their work. They keep to their appointment times, and the final product is the envy of my neighbors, a number of whom have come to Holmes with their vehicles as well. I took my vintage black Porsche out of its winter storage this week, and went directly to Holmes for its customary beginning-of-the-season "dressing up". That 23 year old car sparkled as if it had just come out of the dealer's showroom---inside and outside. I'm going back later this month with our other two cars. They did an amazing job and probably the best bang for your buck if you are able to get the Groupon. Also make sure you let them know you are interested in the Groupon price before purchasing it. They will accept, but I got the sense they like to know before you buy it. I got a full exterior and interior detail and I had some terrible marks from this winter and my wax cost was all scratched up, but they were able to give me a nice new coat of wax and it looks completely brand new. Seriously so disappointed! Ignoring the other bad reviews; I purchased a groupon! My original appointment for a full interior and exterior clean a month back. I waited a month, and they needed to reschedule. Things happen and the owner I'm assuming was very apologetic. I waited two more weeks for a 11 am appointment. I arrived at 10:50am and they mixed up my time. I had arranged a ride so had to leave my car there. They thought my appointment time was 2pm.( which was my original appointment time) no big deal. The man who was working asked me to come back at 5pm to pick up my car. Which was a huge Inconvenience because I told my ride 11-3, again no big deal. I arrived at 4:45pm and the worker apologized and said he has just begun cleaning my car!!! He did say sorry and ask me to come back in an hour or so... Fine, again .. Asked my ride to take me to a store for an hour while I waited. Also I live in Boston so Hanover is extremely far! But took the day off twice, for what I thought was a good deal. Finally get back an hour later as requested. I then make small convo for a while until my car is done. My car was returned streaky, greasy, and full of dirt. Clearly the man was rushed! So I have had my SUV for 7 years and haven't been the best about keeping it clean. Between dog hairs in the carpet and sand from the beach, its challenging. The rims on the tires also were showing their age, and the grime that built up over that time... When I picked up the car I was amazed. It shined inside and out. It was hard to spot dog hair on the carpets. No sand, no debris.... spotless... they really got into all the hard to reach places. All the surfaces were spotless, the leather looked great. Even some spots in the ceiling ( damn those kids) were taken care of. I would do it again, and probably not wait the 7 years until the next time. Thank You HAD. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a full interior and exterior detail a few months ago. I scheduled my appointment and was received with a friendly and helpful employee on the other end. I dropped off my car today (a 2014 Prius C) with reserved optimism about how my baby would look when I picked her up. I received a call from Holmes just over 2 hours after my appointment to confirm my car was ready. I was welcomed by a very friendly employee at the time of pick-up and he worked quickly to get me my keys and back on the road. The car is spotless. It looks just as good, if not better, than it did when I first bought it. I can't believe it. It's shiny and clean and wonderful. It makes me feel a bit guilty about the abuse and neglect I inflicted on it over the last few years but the car I have today is a real treat. They were tasked with stains on the seats and carpets that I never thought would come out. One of my dogs suffers from car sickness and you would never know today that I even owned a dog. I would recommend Holmes to anyone looking for an auto detailing job. They are friendly, efficient and their commitment to their customers is demonstrated by their impeccable work. I almost never write these things, but I had the worst customer experience with these people ever. I called to see if I could get a detail last minute using a groupon--it was a gamble, but I was moving out-of-state. (Yeah, I know, Groupons shouldn't expect great service, but I went in with low expectations, so hear me out) Holmes Auto Detailing said they weren't sure they could get my car detailed via groupon --they were booking a month later, but would call me back to see if they could work something. I was expecting it to be a no-go but hey it was worth a shot, right? Ten minutes later Holmes called back said that they could squeeze me in the following week, just drop my car off the night before, drop the key in the slot, and they'd detail it for me. (Awesome--big tip coming your way!) So that's what I did--three days before I'm moving I dropped off my car with a note of thanks and my number should they have any questions. Then everything went sideways. I didn't hear from them all day. Called twice but got a voicemail that they were in the shop or with a customer. The second time I called, an hour before they closed, I left a voicemail asking for a status and for them to call me back. No call back. I got a ride over to their shop ten minutes before they were supposed to close. The shop was dark and my vehicle was untouched. So now I have been without a car for a full day, none of the detail job had been done, and no one had called me back. *Then* I notice a *different* number on one of the signs for the business on the building. I call that and get the owner's cell phone. The owner tells me that he told one of his employees to call me back and cancel because they only do late-night jobs for full-paying customers, not groupon customer. That cancellation call never happened--no voicemail or caller ID on my cell--the only number they had. OK, I understand that groupons are considered lower class, and I can't expect great customer service, but there are issues at this business. Why did Holmes Auto schedule the detail job knowing it was a groupon code when we booked it? Why didn't the Holmes Auto Detail person who was in that day call the number on the key fob that said "questions? call: # when there was an unscheduled vehicle there and a key? Why did I have to come to the Holmes Auto (which was closed early) and call a separate number to get back my vehicle? Honestly probably the worst customer experience ever. I could give the groupon to another person to use it for a detail, but Holmes doesn't deserve the business or referrals. read more

You get what you pay for. Really not a detail cleaning from my experience. Far from it. Did not provide a good detail cleaning basically a car wash and interior vacuum and wipe down interior with this oily solution that was wiped on and left this oily film so much so that if you put your finger on it you will be able to see your fingerprint in the oil smear. Wheel still had remains of brake dust that you could wipe it off with your fingertip. I notice my brake pad was missing when I got home and call they said it fell off and put back on. I purchases a Living Social voucher for a car detailing at Holmes. What a great buy. Anthony did a great job on my car. It looked and smelled fantastic! When calling to make an appointment, you do get the voicemail often. But Anthony always calls back in a timely manner. Plus, he has a great ring back tone to listen to. I would highly recommend getting your car detailed here if you live in the area. Just a note: when I was getting here, you may miss the street it on but its right before the Industrial Park. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! I received a Groupon for my Birthday in August. When i called to make a appointment they didn't have anything for a month. Fast forward to my First appointment... the owner call and text me several times stating that one of his detailer was rushed to the hospital and he would need to reschedule. Okay I'm a easy going person, know big deal, however the next appointment wasn't for another month... BS. Okay next appointment comes up he calls to confirm our appointment. The next morning only 4 hour before my appointment a gentleman from his company calls to cancel my appointment, GUESS WHY???? another detailer was rushed to the E.R. When i called him out on his lie he then told me it was a different employee from the last time and he himself would only be able to get 6 cars done..... WHY couldn't one of them be mine. After listening to this worker lie after lie i explained to him i would call the owner since he as text me and call me several times. I didn't have to call him 5 mins later he called me, he then lied lied lied, ( He said it was the same employee rushed to the ER as last time, when his employee said it was a different one. Owner said they couldn't do any cars, employee stated he his self would one get 6 cars done ) SO MANY INCONSISTENCIES... This business is a FRAUD. After we had words on the phone about how i caught him and his employees lying i hung up. HE then sent me a long text message about how amazing his company is and how he would get me the medical information from his employees... PSHHH i wouldn't hold my breathe. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I then contacted groupon and the BBO and turns out this HAS Happened to many people.... WE have been refunded our money for refusal of service and will never do business with them again. They are not only a fraud but if you bought a groupon DONT TELL THEM!! I HAD my truck detailed yesterday. no pun intended. I was planning on waiting while it was being cleaned and I was offered a shuttle service via the owners personal vehicle. Anthony was happy to drop me off and pick me up from the plaza when he was finished. Even though it rained last night the water just beaded off. And I woke up to a pristine shine. I must recommend this place I felt like a million bucks as I proudly drove to work in my like new truck the interior was impeccable As I am a sticker for detail. I did hide a few things in the car and they got all of them. I highly recommend this establishment. I'm only just seeing the response by the owner now. What is stated in the review is accurate, my items were not placed in a bag. But in going on my groupon account I can see that I used it on 12/27/2014. I do remember when I called mentioning I purchased a Groupon and wanted to schedule an appointment and the individual stated we are only booking Groupons in December. I've attached photos for proof of purchase and use of the groupon itself. Why it's not showing on Holmes system or groupon I'm not sure, but as the photos show it was claimed and redeemed. Well as I usually do, I had nothing for my wife a couple of days before Christmas. I called Holmes Auto Detailing to inquire about a remote car starter. He had me come in after hours so I would have something to wrap for my wife. He gave me a great price on the remote car starter as well as one of the boxes that the remote starter comes in (to wrap). He put me on the schedule to have it installed, and I dropped it off the night before and left the key in the key drop safe. They did an excellent job installing in my wife's Mazda CX-5. I also met the owners wife when I came in to get the gift certificate, and she was lovely. I will definitely be coming back to the shop when our cars need to be detailed. RIP OFF waste of money and time. I used my groupon for car detailing paid 147 dollars plus 20 dollars tip WHAT AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE they didn t do what they are suppose to do CLEAN MY CAR. I was so upset and unhappy after my visit I needed few days to calm down. After 2 hours waiting for my car to be detailled when I went to check they barely vacumed the car cleaned anything or for matter of fact did anything . I've never had a car detailed before so I wasn't sure what to expect, so I purchased a Groupon. I was so pleased with the whole experience. This is a wonderfully run business. They checked in before the appointment to make sure I had the Groupon number. They were friendly and polite and the service was top notch. My car looked and smelled better than when I bought it new/used. The customer service is among the best. I honestly felt like I was dealing with a high end hotel concierge. Although the waiting room is perfectly suitable, I was given recommendations for several nearby places where I could relax or grab lunch while my car was being serviced. He described them all, whether they had wifi, etc. Nice people, great service, nice place. My car was ready sooner than promised and looking fabulous in and out. If you have a Groupon for full int/ext $89 then it's worth it. The exterior looks decent as does interior. Windows were extremely streaky. The main reason I get detailing down is because I'm horrible at cleaning the inside of the windows. This is why I gave 3 stars. Also, it only took 1.5-2 hours to complete my car which seemed overly rushed but maybe they had the staff for it. I normally use Driven Perfection in Weymouth but just wanted to try a new place because of the Groupon. Not an awful place by no means just not overly detail oriented especially with the windows. read more
