Early January of this year, I needed to purchase medication before I received my insurance card. The gentleman who runs this business informed me that I could pay the price of the medication and submit a claim for reimbursement. I received MUCH less from insurance who told me the pharmacy should have told me about the difference between the contracted rate and the rate he charges. When I called the pharmacy the gentleman told me it is a well known fact that rates differ and that there is no law that requires him to disclose these differences in rates he will undoubtedly profit from. When I suggested it would have been common courtesy to inform me of this not-so "well-known fact" he cut me off and said "Sir, don't waste your time arguing with me." I went to this pharmacy because I wanted to support local small businesses, but ended up supporting a a crook who jumps at the opportunity to take advantage of customers who put their faith in him. Make no mistake, I called twice before making the decision to purchase this medication and explicitly asked if there would be any hidden charges. This man deliberately deceived me to fatten his pockets. Do yourself a favor and take your business to CVS. read more
