It is wheelchair accessible. Spacious inside with waiting area seating. For the past year or so, it was impossible making appointments here. Used to just call, but recently no one answers. As a gal who typically feels safer paying an arm and a leg for hair services with the presumption that I'll get the best quality, I was bitten with a life lesson that the best hair care doesn't always come with a hefty fee. What a blessing that I was able to get my hair trimmed on a whim. Christina and the salon owner were able to listen to me, reciprocate what I wanted to make sure we were all on the same level, and snip snip she went to prove to me that this salon upheld their business in this area for a reason despite all the other high-end salons within a mile radius! Yes, no joke, the name made me roll my eyes because it doesn't sound quite fashionably chic, but the 'Hollywood' part is quite fitting :) read more

Also important ...weddings, needing the hair on said child's head to look spectacular for said wedding? Ultra super duper important. The fact that I needed this exact combination two weeks ago but were in fact 1,000 miles away from home and our regular stylist? Well it had be a bit flummoxed, enter my sister in law and her wisdom in phoning Hollywood Harry's and solving our dilemma. After deciding that yes my 9 year daughter really REALLY should have had a haircut before we left Denver and that the wedding was TOMORROW.... my sis was kind enough to make Jessie an appointment as she scheduled one for her mom. Thanks sis! Trusting someone new with a new cut, a short spiky kinda cut can be ...well ... terrifying. The fact that upwards of 200 people will be watching her full fill her Jr. bridesmaid duties well it just adds to the vast importance this cut looks, well, awesome! You know what ??? IT DID !!!! Oh Jenny you are my new hero and the combination of your fantastic personality and your mad skills ??? Well it made me the happiest mom on earth! Thank you so very very much! I was so pleased, my daughter has about the same amount of hair as 4 to 5 adults. It's actually a bit ridiculous but did this phase Jenny? Heck no! It was as if she'd been cutting Jessie's hair for years. She looked so smart, so " Jessie" I could not have been more pleased or more grateful. She also engaged my daughter in a great chat and treated her like a real customer and not just a kid. This means a lot to me. As a side note ...we were also there while my sister-in-law's elderly mother was there. I have known her since childhood and I believe she is in her 80's now, the girl styling her hair cared for her as if she were her very own mother. This to me is priceless. I moved out to this area seven years ago and could NOT find a hair dresser that I liked. After reading some reviews on Yelp, I decided to try it. Like some of the other reviewers, I was skeptical because of the name. The decor is a little lame and plain but the staff itself is great! Jenny cut my hair and did a great job. She listened to what I said and made some suggestions to help with my "trouble areas". She was super sweet and we had great conversation the entire time. Oh! I almost forgot. The price is great. It was ONLY $25 for a cut. I have been to salons in the area where I paid $50+ for a mediocre hair cut. Glad I found this little "diamond in the rough". If you are looking for a trendy place where you feel intimidated to walk through the door, this is not the place for you! However, if you want a great cut at a great price this is definitely the place to go! read more

I searched on Yelp for salons close to me that were open on Sundays as I was in desperate need of a haircut. Seeing their reasonable prices on their website I called them up to see if there was any availability for a walk in. They got me in within 2 hours. I'm fairly picky about my hair but my stylist did a great job, and overall I enjoyed the experience. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend it to family and friends. read more

I needed to get my hair cut and a facial wax. I didn't think that I would get in today, 6/7/17, but they were able to fit me in as the day was basically open. I had a 2 pm appointment with Molly who was a dream. She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and gave suggestions, which I thought worked perfectly. She styled my hair into waves, which made it look fuller than it normally does, and I loved the way it turned out. She took the time to explain how to do the same look at home with a flat iron, which was fantastic! My facial wax went as smoothly as they go, as they do hurt with no fault from Molly, but she made it seem to go faster than others while still getting everything. I will be going back as soon as I need a touch up and I will be asking for Molly again. read more

I came to this salon after reading all the great Yelp reviews and it was recommended to me by my sister. She had gotten a great haircut here by Jenny. She went back for a bang trim and her bangs were mangled - far too short - by another stylist here. She went back a few weeks later, and Jenny fixed them for her. Jenny cut my hair, and I was unimpressed. She did a poor job with the layers, and it's been driving me crazy ever since. The layers she cut are very 90's: blunt, clearly defined layers. I asked for her to just trim my hair according to the previous cut I had, which I loved (done by Katie G. at Timothy Johns Salon in Urbana, IL.) I will not be returning. read more

Hollywood Harry's is wonderful! The place itself is clean and well-maintained with a welcoming atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. The owner is very nice and funny too. Molly has been my hair stylist for years. She is super-friendly and always does an amazing job. I get so many compliments after I see her. She is also good with children and has cut my children's hair on occasion as well. I definitely recommend Molly and Hollywood Harry's to everyone I know. read more

I moved to the area about two months ago, and was pretty convinced I was going to need to drive back 'home' to get my hair done. Well, having social events lined up this weekend, and a surprise job interview, I was in dire need to get my split ends and horrible color dealt with. As an aside, I'm very fussy about my hair, because it's really fine, long, and somewhat damaged from years of highlighting. When I first walked around town, I remember passing the place, and wondering how a tiny little shop like that survives in an area where there are a lot of upscale-looking competitors. However, after reading everyone else's reviews, I figured I would give it a shot. I walked in, and it really is casual, everyone seems to know each other, etc. It's not immaculate; it's kind of homey I guess you could say. There was a cute little doggie running around in a little doggie shirt, who really seems to like sitting on the dryer chair. I love that kind of thing. I saw other customers coming out with really nice (updated, not outdated) hairstyles. Good good. Everyone seems to talk with each other, and each other's clients, but not in a way that interrupts the service. The styling/color is handled in a professional manner; so while I wasn't getting the fancy salon vibe I was used to, I didn't have that nervous feeling that something was going to be terribly wrong. I saw Adriana. I provided a photo of the style I wanted, and just asked her to get the rest of my hair to match my natural color, which had grown out a good 3 inches (I told you it was a mess!) I loved that I didn't have to 'correct' anything she was doing. I know that sounds snotty, but having fine hair, I shouldn't be seeing any fringe-scissors near my head for a not-fringed style...and I didn't! She also didn't put a bunch of heavy, sticky products in my hair! She also waxed my brows, and they turned out very nice. It's obvious she knows what she's doing, and I will definitely be going back to see her. All in all, it's very casual, so if you're more comfortable in a spa-like environment, it might not being your thing. However, if you want a positive cut and color experience, in a salon where the staff are professional, competent, and welcoming, as well as use high quality products, this is a perfect place! read more

well my regular girl who usually cuts my hair just the way i want it is never around when im free and vice versa...in other words our schedule was never a match... i was in such desperate need of a haircut that i would cry if i didnt get one ASAP...i left my house early to head to working and began to use yelp on my iphone by searching for hair salons in my current location as i was driving...of course i came across a bunch of hair salons and gave each one of them a call...either they were closed, didnt have any available appointments or they were super duper expensive for just a simple trim...so an hour and a half later i continued my search and called place by place...still no luck...then popped up was "Hollywood Harry's"...im not going to lie i was a bit skeptical just because of the name...i thought it was a barber shop (Harry's?)...but i gave it a call anyways and then woman who answered sounded so young and just perky that i was like this is definitely not a barber shop...so i asked how much a haircut was and she said $23 and i was like wow thats not bad but of course i bet you theres no available appointments and of course there wasn't one until 12 but i had work at the same time. So i called into work to say that ill be late and im soo glad i did...i walked into the salon and these girls were just soooooooo friendly and they even had a cute little doggie walking around (which is a plus since i love dogs)...Jenny was going to my hair stylist and lets just say after this haircut..im able to look in the mirror again and smile and not even complain! soooooo happy with how she cut my hair. she really knew what she was doing! and what's great she was really friendly even the other ladies who werent cutting my hair! they make you feel like youve been going to the salon for a while now...they made you feel like you were friends rather than just a customer walking in to get a haircut! i'm so glad i found this place...again yelp does not disappoint me. what was life like before yelp?! read more
