I've always liked these stores, tho this one specifically is more a dog store than anything else. Shelves and shelves of dog food, treats, and items. If you a dog shopper, this is the place. However, I took my wife here to look for cat items, which were VERY limited. Staff was super helpful and friendly, very talkative and cordial. We just weren't happy that Hollywood Feed is more of a Hollywood Dog location. read more

I've shopped here for years and always had positive experiences. Until yesterday. I was in with my adult son making small talk with the girl at the register. We asked her what was happening with a business nearby, and she said she was new but the owner might know. So I asked him. He was so rude! He gestured to his business and said this was HIS business, not "that," and if I wanted to know about "that," I should go ask them. He was speaking to me like I was a child, using unnecessarily demonstrative gestures and a bullying tone. It had been small talk. Polite banter up to that point. But in 15 seconds, he lost two longtime customers. read more

Hollywood Feed is our new obsession. This was our first visit at this specific location, and I was just as pleased as I have been with our go-to store. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They have excellent pricing and will work with you to match prices to ensure you get the best deal. We use Fromm Lamb & Lentil for our six month old mini goldendoodle, Bailey. It is actually cheaper to buy our food here, rather than online. I was shocked when I saw their prices. They also offer a deal when you buy so many bags, you get one free. Great deal. All of their products are guaranteed -- meaning, if you buy something and bring it home and your pup is not a fan, they will replace it or refund it. I love that they support local shelters. Each location chooses their own shelter or organization to donate to -- making their donations impact more than one location. We bought a chew bone and a new toy for Bailey, today. She picked both out by herself. I love this place and would recommend to anyone. read more

Update: I brought this to their attention and Hollywood Feed made things right. As always, I'm very satisfied with their 5-star service and customer satisfaction policy. A great company and you can shop here with confidence that they stand behind their products and services. Today I took my dog, Max, to Hollyweed Feed at the Preston Oaks location on Preston Road in Dallas, Texas. My friend uses the Lovers Lane location for her grooming needs and highly recommended Hollywood Feed to me. The Preston Oaks location was closer, so I took my dog there. The groomer clipped our dog's nails but didn't file them down. When we picked up our dog and he jumped on us with excitement, his nails were so sharp and jagged that it scratched my husband's arms and left it bloody. The groomer didn't even care. We had to ask her to file it so it could be a little smoother. She used a dremel to file only a few and left the rest. We had to go home and file down the rest of her sloppy job. My friend also said her dog gets a report card and a free bandana every time she takes her for a grooming at the Lovers Lane location. We got nothing but a scratched up, bloody arm. Small and cozy store compared to some of the other locations I have been to. The staff are the same. Awesome and friendly. I particularly appreciate the fact that they offer to cut my bully sticks because I am not equipped with the necessary utensils at home. I love that Hollywood Feed is always pet friendly. All of their locations I have been to loved my dachshunds. They always have awesome recommendations and deals for their little treats. I personally pick up the duck feet and cow ears. It seems to be wholesome and easy on my dogs stomach. Hollywood Feed came to our park for an event right in front of my apartment and I have fallen in love ever since! I'm writing to express my sorrow to the employees and customers for the devastating experience of your store being in the path of the EF3 tornado Sunday night, Oct 20, 2019. You workers are Hollywood Feed's most important asset, and I hope that, like the corner McDonalds, your owner continues you on payroll and takes care of the damage to your cars in the lot if you still happened to be there, but I'm guessing g you'd already be back at home Monday night. Certainly customers and workers have suffered terribly, and my heart goes out to you. I'm from Galveston, but have spent a mini-vacation with a relative. I came to your store on Saturday to use the self-wash for my dog. Her apartment is just blocks away, but the only thing we experienced was getting caught in the awful gridlock traffic on Monday afternoon. Good luck to everyone impacted, God bless. I was called to foster a dog this past weekend and the poor little guy was in really bad shape. His hair was so overgrown and matted and was in desperate need of a bath. The groomer's shift had just ended but I pleaded with her to stay and she was such a help! We made the decision to have him completely shaved which removed all the mats, dirt and feces that were embedded in his coat. I was going to give him a bath myself but she was kind enough to take care of that for me while I picked out some food and potty pads. The groomer probably stayed an extra hour and a half past her schedule to make sure the little guy was completely taken care of. Happy to say he's found a great home! read more

Angie did a great job grooming my golden doodle! I was able to go back in the room with her for the first bit which helped my pup be more comfortable. I had neglected grooming her for a little longer than I should have so she had some mats that had to be shaved, but she did a good job of hiding the shaved parts. Overall it was a great grooming experience and we will be coming back! read more

I usually frequent the Hollywood Feed over in Oaklawn, but was in the area and decided to stop in to pick up some dog food. This location and brief stop in just reemphasizes why I am such a big Hollywood Feed fan and won't shop anywhere else for my dog. The store is clean, well laid out, has literally some of the friendliest employees around, and the prices are often lower than the other stores (at least for the food I buy). read more

Booked an appointment the day before I took my Dad's Goldendoodle. He was a mess and his hair was matted and smelled horrible. They told me the haircut was going to be about $45 or so and it ended up being closer to $100 because of his matted hair. He is also a big dog, about 50 lbs or so. He is a handful. They did a great job. The place was really clean and they have lots of cool pet stuff. Great place. read more

First time visiting a pet store for my first pet a puppy. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful with what I needed. They didn't oversell anything which was one of my fears. Some places see fresh owners and see $$. They only showed me what I asked for and offered what I needed. I will be returning to this location in particular for my pet needs. read more

Took my dog in for groomer and left WITH MY DOG after 3 MINUTES. Groomer was too afraid to kennel my dog. Asked me multiple times if she bites. I said we have never had any issues. She then said she can't groom him if she bites or doesn't let her pick him up. I said no one has ever had any issues as he usually just freezes. She then claimed the tiny shivering Maltese on the groomer table was, "giving her trouble." Poor dog was petrified. She then repeated that she would call me if my dog was too much trouble. I just took my dog left. Honestly felt like she doesn't even like dogs. Want my dog to be in a loving environment not caged and dealing with pissy personalities. He is too sweet and loving to be treated like that. Nice store with nice staff, but do not take your dog there for grooming. Wish I had read the other reviews before booking. read more

Apparently the groomer here thinks dogs are people and should want to sit still when getting groomed. Yes my dog is a little over hyper, but she's a dog. The groomer just got frustrated and would call every time we dropped her off to come pick her up. After many attempts we decided this isn't the place for us if the groomer expects every dog to just sit still and not react. You can't get frustrated with a dog, they don't know. And doing a crappy job on a haircut that we have to pay for isn't worth it. But that's ok, we found a great place elsewhere that does a great job, and hasn't called us once to complain about our hyper pup. read more

I had an absolutely amazing experience! I went in to the store in search of Christmas gifts for my puppy. Sarah was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! By the time I left I had plenty of gifts for my baby, and was completely sold on the holistic dog food! It's refreshing to find a store with a manager who actively interacts with the guests, instead of only being available when something is wrong.
