I have been a client of Brow Theory for a while, but unfortunately I had never been able to fill my card with enough stamps to claim a freebie, because with a schedule that's a bit all over the place and haphazard beauty routine - I rarely found myself with enough time to get out to Armadale or remember in time to book in one of the popular Wednesday/Friday sessions they did at Miss Fox. Having tried other places more convenient to me in the meantime and having suffered from uneven brows and horrible patchy red skin for up to a week following, I was thrilled to see them open a permanent home in the CBD. This will forever be my go-to now and I *may* even maintain the things now instead of waiting for them to be gross to get them fixed! I popped in today for their opening special to get a full shape up before having lunch with my best friend. The only girl I would let lunch with me with firey-red patchy skin. Only I didn't have that problem. In fact she commented that apart from being meticulously neat, she couldn't even tell that I just had them done. Brow win. The staff are incredibly lovely and good at what they do. My brows are an awkward shape and will never grow properly thanks to a bad waxing job as a teenager, but the girls always discuss what they're going to do to make them as even as possible to make me feel comfortable before they attack them with thread. As a walk in off the strand the ladies here took wonderful care of me. Within 15mins I had walked out with newly shaped fabulous brows.

I personally cannot be bothered making myself look pretty before heading out and exploring the world, so why not have permanently beautiful eyes when I wake up each morning in a new country? Bedroom Eyes is conveniently located on Johnston Street in Fitzroy and the interior will blow you away upon entry. It is a lavish display of classic femininity - calming musical, antique-style furniture and a delightful cup of peppermint tea on arrival. On my first visit we discussed exactly what lash style I was after. "Something that makes me look awake, is quite striking but also doesn't look fake." She knew exactly what I was after. Now this is not an easy process to undertake. You will have to lie very, very still for a good hour or so (I recommend bringing your iPod and listening to a podcast or three) and have someone fiddle with your lashes the entire time. You will definitely be fidgety by the end. But these gals are absolute pros and know how to handle even the wriggliest of clients. The cost is somewhat high, but remember that this is an investment - the lashes last six weeks to two months and you will looking absolutely ravishing the entire time. A great place to go to before a wedding, a ball or just when you want to treat yourself.

I wish they were a little less hesitant to trim the eyebrows and tweeze the strays, but goo service nonetheless.
