Place is clean and pretty well upgraded. Rooms are typical of the when it was built. We didn't get to try food here as it was Sunday and not open. For me it was memories from the past. I will repeat a previous reviewer's warning that every other business in town closes early, so bring your dinner, drinks, etc. When we rolled into town at 8:00 on a Saturday night the restaurant and grocery were closed. We would definitely stay here again.

Outdated facet and shower head with the tub having lots of scratches. Nothing unclean, just clearly a work in progress.Heating and A/C worked well in the room as both were needed! I get that it's a smaller family-run establishment, but black smudges on most of the towels are a little unsettling. The big red flag for me, however, was that the door had no working deadbolt, nor was there a chain/bar to prevent the door from being forced open. Maybe I'm just paranoid from having stayed in places where crime is a concern, but I consider a working deadbolt and/or a chain to be "standard equipment" at a hotel room and I have never stayed somewhere that didn't have one of those. Other than that, the room was fine. A/C was cold, water hot, internet fast. Really didn't like how far from the bed the nearest power outlet was, especially with cell phones being standard equipment nowadays. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but for my purposes (a traveler passing through who originally planned to camp, but sites were expensive), it was fine. I've stayed at far worse budget hotels on the High Plains and around the country, but I've also stayed at better.

Showers had good pressure and heat however there was no shampoo or conditioner just two small hand soap bars. Only downfall I would say. Plenty of towels and rags. Also has a decent sized flat screen TV. Rooms feel kind of old school, vintage. There's a sitting area downstairs with complimentary coffee. There is also a small porch with chairs as well. If we are in the area would definitely be willing to stay here again.

Interior: the entire hotel was very clean and had a nice appearance. I utilized the board room for classes and it was the perfect size as well as clean. The breakfast area was always clean. It is a little confusing as there is a "bar" area to the left of the entrance that has juice and coffee available. I wasn't sure I could go back there, but the staff let me know it was perfectly fine. Room: the room was far more spacious than I expected and very clean. It was exceptionally comfortable for both working and relaxing. The only complaint I have is that the walls were pretty thin. I could hear the running feet from the floor above me and once in a while, heard others from above. There were just enough power outlets for each of my devices, which is nice. Breakfast: it was a good breakfast, though it didn't change at all. It would be nice to have a little variety each day. Staff: they were all wonderful!
