We loved working with Tranae Landrum in person at Blinds To Go in Peabody, MA. After struggling to…read morecompare roller shade options at various online companies, it was incredibly helpful to have someone who could instantly explain the price differences between materials, valances, and additional options. She told us that Solar 1% is the same as Light Filtering, which gave us a few more options. She provided prices on the spot for every choice I was considering. When I placed my order for the Leyton Swan material, I felt great about both my selection and the value I was getting. Tranae was super knowledgeable and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. Thank you!

Went in the store on April 20 to order some custom pull shades for our deck sliding doors. Jamil…read moretook our order and we put down half of the balance and were told they should be ready by the end of May. No communication was made and in June I checked online and the order said it was on back order until late July. I finally got a hold of Jamil and he said he was away and apologized he never communicated. He told me he would look into the possibility of changing my order by choosing a fabric pull bar instead of the metal that was on back order. I never heard back, called the store to follow up and my order was no longer in the system. Apparently Jamil had changed the order and placed it and didn't tell me. Fine. Fast forward to today the installer comes and one of my blinds is the incorrect color. I tried to call the 1-800 number and the local store and was told the manager was away and my sales consultant wasn't in today. Now I have to find out when my new blind will be ordered and wait again for it to come in and be installed. Communication has been awful. I want a refund on that incorrect blind or some type of compensation. Do not recommend at this point....

Paul Conti was very thorough and responsive. As he visited our house to show us products and…read moremeasure, he made several excellent recommendations. He came today (despite very bad weather) to install them. We love our new shades. Everything was very professionally installed, and he removed all the packaging neatly. We highly recommend Paul Conti and ABC Shades and Blinds. Good value for the money. We have the right shades on a large sliding door, windows which needed privacy with top down /bottom up option, and light filtering. We started out thinking we wanted electric but as we reviewed our needs with Paul, ended up deciding against it. Also it was only about a 3 week turnaround from when Paul came to the house to measure, to installation. Great job

He measured the windows and told me he'd provide me with a quote the following day. I got the promised quote (very reasonable) the next day and decided to proceed with the project. The shades arrived within the time frame Rich gave me and when he had them, he called to schedule the installation. Rich and his coworker again arrived at the promised time and the install was so quick! I'm in love with my new shades. At a time where it's hard to get a contractor to just return a phone call, Rich and his company were a breath of fresh air from start to finish!

I met with Nicole and ordered 2 shutters and 4 blinds. I never heard back from her again. I had to…read morecall multiple times to see when my products would be ready and they texted the date and time for installation since the shutters weren't ready. The gentleman who installed them was very professional although one of the blinds was incorrect so he said they'd have to come back with the new one. There was no follow up and again I had to call to see when the correct one would be arriving. Again installation was an automated text and it was installed, without any personal contact from the company. Then finally my shutters arrived and one was mis measured so it doesn't close properly. I've called with no response and then the appointment again was texted over. I didn't confirm the appt but I got a call on the day the person was installing to tell me he had arrived to see where I was. I called to let someone know how disappointed I was with the customer service a few weeks ago and have not heard back, and still have a shutter that doesn't fit. Incredible.

When my wife and I purchased our window dressings from Window Fantasies over 2 years ago-Herb came…read moreto our place to do all the measurements and proceeded to let us know the process of installing them. He was truly friendly and very informative about the products. Sometime later, our patio blinds had an issue and we contacted them. Mike, who was the original installer, came by and shortly after discovered there was another issue going on simultaneously. He took the entire mechanism to the shop where they repaired everything at no cost(minus the visit cost). Fast forward to now, our bedroom blinds stopped working recently and my wife contacted the original installer who informed her that the company was sold and he was no longer there. So she reached out to the new owner, who apparently works 3 days/week and also has another job. After 2 and 1/2 weeks of waiting- the owner called back and without so much as offering an apology to my wife for the waiting time-he proceeded to say that they would come out for a monetary fee but that he now only deals with designers. Needless to say- my wife was not pleased at all by his attitude and his remarks. Fortunately there is a company in Bedford who will be able to repair our blinds. And they were very friendly on the phone. As for Window Fantasies- sounds more like Window Nightmares with this new owner who I can promise will never have our business in this lifetime.
